Calanon Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 (edited) What is the subreddit called exactly because I can't find it? /r/legostarwars It uses a gold bar piece... interesting. And another scala dish! But dbg again. The back sticks out a lot. Not quite sure what that rear compartment is beyond storage. I don't know; I think it looks kind of odd. I don't know if it's the lack of depth or the fact that it's printed on a curved surface or the size, but it looks even more odd than having a pilot with no goggles at all, to me. I also am not a fan, the lack of depth is a big factor for me. That and it means it's really weird to use the headpiece with the goggles worn. At least they haven't decided to make a new mould like the Rebel hat with goggles where they were ridiculously oversized though! Edited August 14, 2016 by Calanon Quote
LordLEGOtube Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Is that head on the rebel trooper new? If so it's good that they aren't just sticking with the TFA plain face that has already been overused. Quote
Forresto Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Love the imperial figures for the Tie Striker especially the shore trooper. The mouth filter thing though proves undoubtedly we need an updated scout trooper. /r/legostarwars Thanks. Quote

BrickBob Studpants Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Is that head on the rebel trooper new? If so it's good that they aren't just sticking with the TFA plain face that has already been overused. Nope, it's the headpiece they're currently using for Captain America (and Hawkeye) Quote
joebiwankenobi Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 (edited) Now that you pointed that out Brickdoctor and I took a look at your avatar pic, I agree with you. A 2D print of 3D field gear piece on that surface does make it look a bit odd. Either way it's amazing to see how far the license has come since the late 90s. I remember reading back on the board here in '07 when people were skeptical whether they'd ever go the lengths of detail in the figures we're seeing today. CM4Sci Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 (edited) [snip]$70?[/snip] Oh, and that means the RO sets are in this jumbled mess of DPCIs 204-00-1808 - $30 204-00-1809 - $40 204-00-1810 - $90 204-00-1811 - $110 75154 - 204-00-1812 - $70 204-00-1813 - $80 Edited August 14, 2016 by Brickdoctor Removed link to leaked pictures. CM4Sci Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 What's the $110 one? Krennic's Shuttle I think? Quote
Nokturn Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Krennic's Shuttle I think? Oh.. oh no. Krennic's Shuttle was originally reported to be only $90. If these new prices are true, there's no way I can afford the entire wave... Quote
AmericaLego Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 There are 5 Rogue One sets. Why are there 6 DCPI's? Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 There are 5 Rogue One sets. Why are there 6 DCPI's? Oh, oops. I just grabbed a few from this giant list of DPCIs I have (that all ended up being summer sets) Quote
JekPorkchops Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Damn, if Krennic's shuttle is indeed $110 it means it's going to be one of this year's overpriced €140 sets. Pricing for the U-wing seems a lot less attractive as well. Quote
Ultron Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Wow...what a shame. They were actually decently priced before. The Star Wars prices have been so disappointing lately. Quote
Forresto Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Looks like I will be buying Star Wars Armada's 3rd, 4th, and 5th waves instead of the RO sets. The sets aren't bad but I will wait until next year's May 4th deals and try to pick some up on sale. I'm really only interested in minifigures and the battle packs and micro fighters sound promising! Quote
RetroInferno Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 (edited) Wasn't Krennic's shuttle 110 euros? It would be around 90 US then, according to price vortex. If not I'm sitting this one out and waitting for deals, no way I pay for what would translate to 150 CAN$ ( before taxes ) for barely 900 bricks. Edited August 14, 2016 by RetroInferno Quote
Sion Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Lego Star Wars: The bad pricing strikes back. Quote
Kaijumeister Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 (edited) Horrible news regarding the Rogue One pricing, was planning to buy the whole wave on day one. This probably doesn't bode well for us UK fans either! Initially the Pricevortex prices indicated that the Tank would approximate £35 (same as the Eclipse Fighter), AT-ST being £40 (corresponding to the First Order Snowspeeder), TIE-Striker at £60 (same as the Special Forces TIE), Krennic's Shuttle at £80-90 (corresponding to the FO Transporter), and the U-Wing based somewhere between £60-£70. Really hope Lego doesn't push it too far because those prices were relatively decent for Star Wars sets. Edited August 14, 2016 by Kaijumeister Quote
Darth Caedus Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 People are Chicken Little-ing here. The prices are $30, $40, $70, $80, $90, this has been known for a while. Pretty straightforward. Quote

Aethersprite Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 I'm not sure how to read the prices. How much is Krennic's shuttle in USD? Is it at the same price point as the Tydirium? I would expect that to be the case, given that they're in a similar league of sets... Quote

BrickShady Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 (edited) It's obvious that both Lego and Disney want to make more money out of new merchandise produced to hype up the upcoming triple A movie. So we have to kinda deal with that trend. Personally I will pick the whole wave up, but not instantly, as I have a lot more sets on my wanted list to buy first. BTW, people who complain about prices, just for you to know: a couple of years ago the RRP in my country were twice as high as the US ones. Luckily, they're almost identical now. So who's to complain? Edited August 15, 2016 by BrickShady Quote
d-delay Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Didn't CM4Sci just grab an extra DCPI by mistake, the $110 one? If you eliminate that price from the post the prices match Darth Caedus' prices exactly. Quote
