Here is the progress so far on my TC9 entry, at least the A model:

The A model is log skidder with articulated steering, a movable arm, and a closing/opening claw. I do not know what I will do for the B model, but probably something else with articulated steering, because I don't have many steering elements incorporated into the A model.

The arm is controlled with the middle knob, the steering with the knob on the corner, and the claw with the gear attached to it.

Here are a few more pictures:

I like it very much. Interesting vehicle and the way you constructed it, I think it could easily be a Technic set :) Looking forward to B model.

Nice model! I wonder what the differential is for, it seems like it is not connected. And it seems to be on the front wheels. Are you planning to make a 4WD with fake engine? That would be awesome in a model that size :classic:

I really like this, good job executing a good idea very neatly.

Have you considered using a second u-joint instead of the gears before the actuator?

From the first picture, I estimate the angle of the mLA is apx. 55 degrees (from the horizontal) in the boom's upper position, and I guess U-joints is not so efficient at that angle. But then again, perhaps the added friction due to high angle is minimal (at least compared to what is induced by the gears), and fluctuation is not a problem, as it is input to a mLA...
