GALI, AGILE MASTER OF WATER

The intention here was to redesign Gali with

my TW2 gearbox, giving her the ability to twist at the waist like 2016's Toa figures. She also has a gear mechanism in her axe, which animates the two black rotors.

I like the changes you made to the arm design, especially the use of the 5M shell for the lower arms. The custom torso definitely improves her proportions to be more realistic and reasonable, but the torso shell looks a but odd because it sticks out by a module. The upper leg design is also nice because it is less hollow and gappy than the original.

The shoulder armour clutters her upper half a bit and might make posing more annoying, but I understand that it's one of the key features of the original set. I think one of the main reasons the set designer gave Gali huge, angled shoulder armour was to de-emphasise the broadness of the shoulders, but you've fixed the shoulder width.

Phenomenal design. Love her proportions, articulation, and waist function. Not as much of a fan of the weapon function, which is a little bit bulky for my tastes, but it's a cool concept. The biggest fault with this design is that the back of the model is so unadorned, and has little continuity with the colors and textures of the rest of the model. But I can see how this custom torso would make it difficult to armor the back without it becoming much bulkier.

Not digging the friction extenders used in the legs (I get what they're for, but they look just eugh), but the rest of the model is rather nice. Maybe the neck is set a little too far back but I dunno.

Thank you! Yes, the shoulderpads are a bit of a leap away from the rest of her aesthetic, but I feel like they're one of the things which really define Gali's modern design. I suppose I could've worked in a similar aesthetic elsewhere to balance things out.

Thank you, glad you like it! And as I've said on BZP, it's tricky armouring the back of this torso build without adding too much bulk, and the last thing I wanted was for Gali to look like a hunchback. But I'll experiment with this flaw - I'm already thinking the HF 2.0 shield piece might look good on the back of brawnier characters who utilise the TW2.

The friction extenders in her knees aren't really for friction, but are actually there to lengthen her lower legs - they originally weren't there at all, which made her look much too stout. But I can see why they might be distracting.

And as for the neck, I don't personally see any issue. The neck joint is in-line with both the shoulders and (when the torso is straight) the hips, which is how the standard CCBS frame is oriented.

I personally don't mind the look of the friction extenders there, but if they're just there to lengthen the lower legs, you'll be able to do away with them soon—next year's Kopaka features 6M bones in Trans. Light Blue.

I am aware, and also excited :D
