Gongoro73 Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) Hi everybody I'm planning a trip to London in the near future, so I'd like to ask wich of the two stores has the larger PAB wall. Do you recommend to visit the two of them or will be redundant in terms of different parts on their PAB walls? Thanks! Edited November 18, 2015 by Gongoro73 Quote
AmperZand Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I've been to the Shepherd's Bush store loads of times but only been to the Stratford store once. I don't recall much difference in the size of the PAB walls but it's been a long time. I don't know if both stores stock the same parts in their PABs. Different parts may make visiting both stores worthwhile even if one has a bigger wall than the other. Quote
Gongoro73 Posted November 20, 2015 Author Posted November 20, 2015 Thank you very much for your answer, AmperZand, I'll try to visit both of them. I will also be in Brighton a couple of days, I've just learned that it has a Lego Store too. So, a lot of PAB's to examine. Quote
L@go Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 If you go to Brighton within the next couple of weeks... you might find my spaceship in the community window! :D I haven't seen it in there myself, but I hope it looks nice. Quote
JanetVanD Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 I hope both stores stock up well with as many interesting parts as they can before lots of us descend on them during AFOLCon and Brick2015! Quote

Tariq j Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 This store isn't in London but the Bluewater store is excellent and always worth to pop in if you have the time. Quote
paul_delahaye Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I actually think the Lego stores are becoming more generic, in the old days they used to each have a unique benefit. Kingston always had unique items in their pick a brick wall, and sold the old bags of mixed bricks nice and cheap. When that one closed, my nearest was Bluewater, which I went to a couple of times a year. I got some great finds in their pick a brick wall, and they used to have a discounted section at the back of the store, but since the store moved from down stairs to the 1st floor, I think it became a lot more generic. For me now, the Watford store is my favourite, it's quite a small store, but the staff are always friendly, parking is cheap and it's easy to get to without the traffic hassle of central london. I'll sometimes pop up to the Stratford store if I have a travel card and am in London, but that shopping centre is always so busy. I really detest the pick a brick wall at Milton Keynes, they only have a small wall, so to make up they mix 2 or 3 styles of brick in each pick a brick hole, Which is a real pain if you want to pick one style of brick. For me the pick a brick walls used to be the draw for the different stores, they would vary from store to store, but now the pick a brick wall contents is more based around the bricks required for the kids monthly make, most stores pick a brick walls are the same which is a shame.
