KirTech LAB Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 (edited) Hello all! I want to present my new MOC - it’s a scale model of Mad Max War Rig. I want to construct such a model with 8110 wheels in the future so this model is called War Rig MIDI :) The scale is 1:20,8. It’s very interesting experience for me to work in such a small scale. The truck tractor: 41х14.5х20 cm, 1540 g; large tank: 67х15х33 cm, 2755 g; small tank: 19х15х26 cm, 825 g; total length – 120 cm; total weight – 5120 g. Remote controlled functions: 1. All-wheel drive. No 6x6 drive. AWD is 16x16 here. Two buggy-motors are mounted in the truck tractor and two more – in the large tank. I use slow output; gear ratio is 1:1. Inside the coupling cardan shaft is passed. So all the wheels of the small tank are driven too. 2. Truck tractor steering; one servo-motor. 3. Fake engines under the hood (only the chains) – one M-motor. 4. Blade height control; two micro-motors. 5. The winch; one M-motor. 6. Truck tractor coupling; one micro-motor. 7. Large tank support, one M-motor. 8. Large tank steering, one servo-motor. So we can drive without truck tractor :) Additional functions: opening doors for LiPo turning on and off, highly detailed exterior, wheels protection, working harpoon on the small tank, flame-throwers (not working). I suggest to watch the movie: And more photos of course: https://flickr.com/photos/141718063@N06/albums/72157669267793512 And one more video - winter Ice Drift :) Building instructions for the tank: Thanks for watching!  Edited January 1, 2020 by desert752 Quote
bj51 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 It's very nice... Sorry, I mean it's very brutal ! Love the wheels, and can't wait for the bigger version. Quote
Kristof Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Not a big bfan of Mad Max but this is excellent model. A lot of interesting functions and great drive performance on top of that! Well done. Quote
Jim Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Very cool! About time some cool Mad Max MOCs appeared. Quote
MaxSupercars Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Of course from who is this crazy MOC? ... from Desert 752... :D Really crazy and beautiful... I like a lot of details on the model and nice functions... I like it very much! Max... Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Wow, this is just amazing!!! I especially like the fake engines, wheels and the way you made the tanks. Making this one with Unimog tires sounds at least crazy :-) ...but I'll be glad to drool all over it :-) You rock! Quote
Kelkschiz Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Very cool! About time some cool Mad Max MOCs appeared. There have been a couple on this forum already... Quote
Jim Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 There have been a couple on this forum already... I remember seeing one of them, so I must have forgotten about the others Quote
braker23 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Dude, you rock so hard! This is an awesome MOC, great functions, best looks and huge size, thanks for the inspiration :) Quote
agrof Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 (edited) This is just MAD. The only thing what I can criticise a bit: too much black absorbs the really nice details on it. Edited October 27, 2015 by agrof Quote
kisper Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I think I would give this prime mover and trailer the best looking on this site :) Quote
Zerobricks Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 (edited) Well done. Nice video too! Can we get more photos from under? Edited October 27, 2015 by Zblj Quote
KirTech LAB Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 Thanks a lot for comments! Well done. Nice video too! Can we get more photos from under? Oooops I forgot it :) I'll take additional photos in the near future! Quote
zux Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 That's a lot of BLACK. Nice details, I like it a lot. Quote
Tommy Styrvoky Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Great job, it's about time someone built a RC War Rig, a version with Unimog wheels would be impressive... plenty of XL motors as power... Um I mean... 2000 horsepower of nitro-injected War Rig Quote
Lakop Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I watched the film at the weekend and the vehicles are inspiring. Your moc is great at this scale. H Quote
MacKaiwer Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Very cool and aggressive looks i liked very much Mad Max Fury Road and this is awesome war rig, excellent work! Quote
Rishab N Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 This looks crazy and amazing  Quote
JJ2 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 This is awesome! I am still amazed how fast you made this and how close this looks to the original (In perspective). The only one thing to complain about is the micro motors showing through the body. Quote
JM1971 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 At first glance I would of never of guessed it had so many RC functions and also moved like a rocket, A++++ work indeed. Quote
KirTech LAB Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 Thanks for the kind words! 2 Zblj: I've done the bottom view of the truck. Tanks have the same transmission. Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I really love this build all the way!!! Really well done... Quote
Blakbird Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Another epic model! You have outdone yourself this time. I'm a little confused by the axles. While it looks a bit like a differential, the 20 tooth gray bevel gear is not actually attached to the axle but just spins freely. Does this mean the rear axles are just solid axles? Quote

You are right - there are no diffs here. Grey gears are mounted just to improve rotation dynamics of the tan gears. And grey gears rotate in opposite direction ) Edited October 30, 2015 by desert752 Quote
