Isn't this guy a little too big for these bikes? I mean, his legs are a bit too long for these wheels. I do like the idea, just wondering if I should give it a try too :)

Miguev, big certain not because legs are one thing but on the other side it is on the edge that the hands touch the handels... So maybe he could be a little bit bigger... :D But it is not bad as it is... :)

And you should give it a try too for 100% ... :D

Post images then... I assumed to change the color scheme of the chopper to orange to match the color of Cody...

Max...

Yes, I think I'll get a Cody and pose him with my 42007, maybe on a different color scheme to match his, and/or maybe a speeder bike to his scale.

I hope it's OK to post not-so-good photos so long as they're funny, so here's one from today:

I think it useful to remember that the background is almost as important as the main object itself when composing and shooting a nice picture.

Daylight from a large window on a cloudy day, combined with a plain background will get you far. Direct sunlight is always very difficult, and usually requires reflectors and carefully picked background. Stay in the shade or wait for a cloudy day is my advice for outdoor photography.

I use a DSLR and flashes indoors myself, because it gives me good control of the lighting. In the picture below, I used two flashes. The first flash lit up the helicopter itself (through a small softbox), and the second light was aimed at the background to avoid harsh shadows fro the helicoptr. The background was some leftover thick cardboard i used to protect my floor while I painted the bedroom roof. The cardboard was taped to the wall and desk so that it was softly curved. Finally i did some touchup in Photoshop.

Speaking of backgrounds, what does everyone use? I tend to stick to the white backdrop that came with my light tent, but sometimes I wish for something a little more rigid. I experimented with some paper that is meant for writing with chalk (very dark grey) and it wasnt too bad, but it was still very loose. I looked into construction paper, but a lot of it is glossy or shows the paper fibres. Can anyone suggest something else?

I use PVC 0,3mm

I like the overall look of your picture, but it seems a bit grainy. And the black details are hardly visible. What are the cam settings? What did you do in Photoshop?

I use the back side of one of those roll-down curtains. It's not rigid, but it flows smoothly and it is length adjustable  Also stores very easily, which is a must in my tiny house.

This photo was taken recently with a simple Canon digital camera (no dslr or whatever; just one that fits in your pocket). Overhead was the kitchen's TL light and to the left is a window (although I'm not sure if I took this picture during the day). No post-processing; I'm quite happy with it :classic:

I'm not sure why it's grainy. It's not a problem on the full size versions. The settings are f/5, 1/60s, Iso200. Shot with a Nikon D3 and Sigma 50mm. I agree, the black details are to dark. At the time I thought it looked good, won't happen again. Photoshop work: Adjusted hue and saturation, removed som dust and dirt from the background cardboard, curves adjusted, added some vignetting. Nothing much really.

BTW: Here is the flick-gallery, with bigger pictures:

Proper lighting does make a difference, I’m still trying to get the hang of it.

THAT looks massive! I like the sunset photo, it looks mysterious and kind of romantic.

I see nothing bad worth complaining about! The lighting is evem soft and the colors stand out very well and lively.

As soon as I get a job, I will invest into some LED reflectors, diffusers and some canvases.
