jorgeopesi Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 It is AWD and it has a 7 speed and reverse gearbox, it doesn´t have to be a porsche, I can still change the fake engine I am thinking in 4 different cars at this moment. It works better than expected . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zaig2TfcWL4&feature=youtu.be'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMzqBx-loAY&feature=youtu.be Quote
DrJB Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 (edited) Very nice. How do you plan on actuating the gear shifting in real life? remote levers to push/pull on the black long axles? As for it not being a Porshe, and I think you're referring to the Boxer engine, well, could always be a Subaru :) Edited April 22, 2015 by DrJB Quote

Epic Technic Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Yes, build an Impreza, please an STI... No make it the BRZ STI concept from the New York Auto show. Quote
jorgeopesi Posted April 23, 2015 Author Posted April 23, 2015 Yes, build an Impreza, please an STI... I am sorry I don´t like the Impreza . No make it the BRZ STI concept from the New York Auto show. You can be sure I won´t build it . Great chassis Jorge . Thanks . I have 3 options now. Nissan GT-R ugly but an option for the AWD. Audi R8, I leave my 1:8 long time ago and I want to finish it, even in another scale , and the new one is better in my opinon. Porsche GT3 RS the best option and is the same case as the audi, I started one and never finished it . Quote
Lucio Switch Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 This chassis is really promising!! It's RWD so an RWD car I presume (or an FWD if you invert it). Or can it be AWD? Quote
jorgeopesi Posted April 23, 2015 Author Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) Looking good! I say go for a GT-R the Nissan... This chassis is really promising!! It's RWD so an RWD car I presume (or an FWD if you invert it). Or can it be AWD? Thank you Lucio, the chassis in the video is AWD or 4x4 I don´t know the 4 wheels are moving, so it is a small and complex chassis if it would be FWD or RWD would have no things to show. I'm a moron...now I see the transmission shaft!! sorry!! Quote
sm1995 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 I vote GTR too. We've already seen dozens of technic Porsches and a few R8 but not a single GTR. Great chassis BTW! Quote
DrJB Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) Just to clarify: The reason I suggested the subaru (not a car I like) is simply because besides the Porsche, it is the only one (I know of) that uses a boxer engine. That said, I'd go for either the RED GT3 or R8 shown above. Edited April 23, 2015 by DrJB Quote
jorgeopesi Posted April 23, 2015 Author Posted April 23, 2015 Well I saw good porsches around here but I am speaking of one with 7 and R gearbox and AWD and I think there is not a similar one yet on 1:10 scale of course... I want to give another try to my unfinished porsche, making new and changing the model. Quote
DrJB Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Definitely Stunning! Are you using the 8880 wheels? Quote
AndyCW Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) How about a Daihatsu Mira Turbo Its got AWD, turbo, and should be easy to model due to the slab sides. Nobody else will do it. You could be the first. The obsession with super cars is a little baffling sometimes. Pick something bizarre instead. v/r Andy Edited April 23, 2015 by AndyCW Quote
jorgeopesi Posted April 23, 2015 Author Posted April 23, 2015 Definitely Stunning! Are you using the 8880 wheels? It is an old pic, I am using normal wheels in the 2015 MOC. How about a Daihatsu Mira Turbo. Its got AWD, turbo, and should be easy to model due to the slab sides. Nobody else will do it. You could be the first. The obsession with super cars is a little baffling sometimes. Pick something bizarre instead. But it is a cube with wheels, something small and manageable for real life with Lego I want to dream, I forgot to put another car, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale always was a great option. Quote
sm1995 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 How about the Porsche 918? I would love to see a technic rendition of one, but it does has rear wheel steering( but so does the GT3 RS) Quote

jorgeopesi Posted April 24, 2015 Author Posted April 24, 2015 Porsche 918 is a nice car but I have 4 reasons not to build. 1 - It would be rare in red. 2 - Different size between rear and front wheels. 3 - Huge wheels in comparison with the car I will have room for nothing. 4 - Build another V8 central engine would be like redo my F40 with AWD. jorgeopesi Posted April 24, 2015 Author Posted April 24, 2015 I see, but will you add rear wheel steering to the chassis or not because the new gt3 rs does have all wheel steering? I didn´t know that... 5 years ago I built a skyline with rear wheel steering, a lot of work for just a little steering... I think the porsche will use the rear steering for high speed so a GT3 without it would be good too... if I build it right... Quote
jorgeopesi Posted April 26, 2015 Author Posted April 26, 2015 First, reverse, sixth and seventh speeds, everything unreinforced yet, it will work better someday . The chassis works even on seventh speed but I don´t know yet what ratio is better to use with the gearbox, I am thinking about use a motor just to show how everything works, I suppose nobody will want this car to play. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zaig2TfcWL4&feature=youtu.be'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oC8ccd0il_g&feature=youtu.be Quote
jorgeopesi Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Chassis finished with a M motor for steering, 2 L motors with a seven speeds and reverse gearbox but I thought something, 3 different settings. 1 - The current mine, 7 speed and reverse gearbox with 2 L motors, M motor for steering, very complicated to build, no room for anything, bodywork side hard to do and not very playable but realistic. 2 - First option, 3 speed and reverse gearbox with ? motors, Servo motor for steering, easy to do, room enough and playable. 3 - Second option, 7 speed and reverse gearbox with a motor with clutch just to show, no motor for steering, manual playable and realistic.
