LEGODalekbuster523 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Its quite possible we will see Disney stuff (and Marvel and Star Wars) announced in a future announcement in 2017 or 2018. I bet it will be next year. 3.0 would make perfect sense for Disney-owned stuff. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 (edited) Here's my list again of all the licensed themes in the game for which physical LEGO Dimensions packs have been released, or will be. As before, ones with asterisks have had one or more LEGO CUUSOO / Ideas projects that made it to review (one for those that made it to review but weren't approved, two for those that have had at least one project approved as a set). A more important distinction, though, and one I can't believe I forgot to note before, is which ones are LEGO things only because of LEGO Dimensions. Slightly over half (!) are properties that have no other LEGO sets outside of the LEGO Dimensions packs, and aren't getting any that we know of yet (at least, not that I know of, but I'm happy to welcome corrections). All these LEGO Dimensions-only properties are marked with asterisks in front of the property name: * The A-Team Adventure Time ** Back to the Future ** * Beetlejuice DC Comics / Teen Titans GO! / The LEGO Batman Movie * Doctor Who ** * E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial Ghostbusters ** * The Goonies * * Gremlins Harry Potter / Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Jurassic Park / Jurassic World * * Knight Rider Middle-Earth * * Midway Arcade * Mission: Impossible * Portal * * Powerpuff Girls Scooby-Doo! The Simpsons * Sonic the Hedgehog * The Wizard of Oz * Edited June 10, 2016 by Blondie-Wan Quote
Vindicare Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 How come no one is talking about "Sloth" from Goonies, E.T. or Gizmo?!?!? Am I the ONLY one excited about these?!?!?!!? As a lover of Gremlins & Goonies, I'm totally with you. It's practically an 80's takeover. Wonder if Sloth will have a Baby Ruth printed tile(I haven't seen pictures yet...) Quote
Venkefedo Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Oh man, Raven looks weird... It's just because it's based on Teen Titans Go, like that Beast Boy. She's basically a head-swap away from being a decent comic-version, and it's quite possible she'll get such a version in some Bats/DC set next year, considering pre-TTG Teen Titans Beast Boy, Starfire, and Robin are in the Jokerland set. I'm not sure they'll ever really do a cartoon-based Cyborg (from either series) but the Darkseid/Dimensions version is fitting enough to go with the Jokerland trio, leaving Raven as the one missing character... maybe it'll take them awhile (like getting all 4 other members of Ultimate Spidey's team, which we finally have with this year's White Tiger) but they'll probably get to her soon. Felkin Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Oh man, Raven looks weird... Maybe she'll come with a double-sided head with a more deadpan expression on the other side. *fingers crossed* Maybe even, like Winter Soldier, they could have a TTG face on one side, and a "regular" face on the other (although that would be a bit weird for kids buying the game, I admit). Do Dimensions figs usually have double-sided heads? The only one I own is Doctor Who, which only has one face, but I couldn't decide if that was normal for Dimensions minifigs, or if it was just a commentary on Peter Capaldi's Doctor. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Well, normally the look for human characters on the box art are how they're going to look. So that's raven face... It's the opposite for creature characters, they look different on the box art compared to the actual minifigure. Quote

I don't have the LEGO Dimensions set yet (or any other LEGO Dimensions sets), but I do have the LEGO Ideas set, which uses what I believe is the same head for the 12th Doctor. I was amused to see that each of the other three minifigure heads - the 11th Doctor, Clara Oswald, and even the Weeping Angel - all have double-sided heads with different expressions, but the 12th Doctor has only the one, slightly stern, scowling expression. :D Quote
Vindicare Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I hope so!! And my wife thinks that Sloth will come with a tiny pirate ship. Oh, yes! That would definitely seem the likely buildable accessory to go with him. Quote
LegoMcBoss2004 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Has anyone noticed the pirate ship on the banner? Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Has anyone noticed the pirate ship on the banner? Yep! It's a hint to the Goonies. Quote
x105Black Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I'm so excited about these. I want almost all of them. I'm most excited about Adventure Time, but there are a lot of really awesome and unexpected surprises. Quote
Aanchir Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Hmmm, never realized this topic existed. How come it's in the Licensed forum? I'd think Special Themes or General LEGO Discussion would make more sense since it encompasses more than just licenses. I'm glad we're getting a new mohawk mold with B.A. Baracus since it'll be great for Axl from Nexo Knights. It's also nice that the new Harry and Voldemort figs use the shorter (3M) bars for their wands. I'm excited to see the alt builds for the packs that have been revealed on Amazon. The actual new brand I'm most interested in, which we haven't seen pics of yet, is LEGO City Undercover. I hope we get a Rex Fury minifigure and mini-models of some of Chase and Rex's iconic vehicles. Quote
x105Black Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I'm actually a bit disappointed with the wands. They were able to make an entirely new piece to represent the Doctor's sonic screwdriver, but they didn't make a new mold for a wand? They really should have. Quote

They were able to make an entirely new piece to represent the Doctor's sonic screwdriver, but they didn't make a new mold for a wand? They really should have. Maybe because the wands are different for each person in the later HP movies. In the first few movies the wands looked vaguely the same, but later they each became unique, like lightsaber hilts. Now granted Lego hasn't decided to make more than just three lightsaber hilt designs, but the main lightsaber hilt does have other functions. Quote
BaneShake Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 I was looking at the Harley Quinn minifig from Dimensions this morning, and noticed it had a double sided head. The preexisting Super Heroes 'figs should all have double-sided heads, as they have the same heads as they did in normal sets. Quote
notpennysboat Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 I'm so excited about Baracus, Gizmo & Stripe, E.T., Beetlejuice and Sloth, I never would have expected ! Great ! Quote
Legocity2713 Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 SPIKE LOOKS SOOOOOOO GOOD!!! PERFECT FOR UN-RELATED CUSTOMS TOO!!! :excited:   And Gizmo: :) Quote
TheLegoDr Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 They look great, but why is Spike so tall?? That seems odd. He was a bit bigger than tiny Gizmo, but regular legs seem a bit tall. Oh well, I'll still pick them all up! Quote

Oh well, I'll still pick them all up! He's tall because he's meant to scale with Gizmo...not next to 'normal' minifigs. This is just fan-art, but it illustrates it pretty well... Gremlins are taller than Mogwai. Gizmo looks a lot better than I thought he would based on the trailer (tho the plain white legs are a little...well..plain! Mostly because they're so bright compared to the white print on his torso, I guess, but some cute little toes like Stitch has would be welcome)! Spike looks pretty good! Nice 'monster' potential reuse in his body & leg prints. Quote
Borex Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I dont think his name is spike. His name is Stripe. Spike is the dog of tom and jerry. Quote
Exetrius Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Stripe is an absolutely fantastic figure! It's too bad none of the E3 footage has a high-res view at him. Quote
