I think you would get both. The Nexo promo is with any purchase, but you might need a coupon for it.

I got both the Retro Knight and the NK King's Guard at one of the LEGO Westfield stores yesterday. No token or coupon needed. The retro set required a minimum purchase amount. I think the King's Guard came with any NK purchase which in my case was Ultimate Flama.

I have a feeling that even though the NK promotion was supposed to run from 1 to 9 July S@H has already run out as it no longer appears on the site. The Retro Knight, however, is still listed.

My Lego store sternly asked for the coupon :(

Looks pretty boring imo... I prefer minifigures, or little monsters.

So not sure, If I would go buying it. There isn't something interesting about it.

Same here, me too.

I like it, if only for another blank pearl gray shield.

Also mixes the Classic Space and Classic Castle mini-set vibes together well.

Yeah, the parts are cool.

So I got and read the Book of Monsters recently, and I have to say, I'm really excited about the future of Nexo Knights. I'd love to see the Forest and Sea monsters get sets, and I really hope they delve more into Monstrox. The book makes it seem like the Book of Monsters IS Monstrox trapped, but at the same time also makes it seem like the book was a servant of Monstrox, or something similar. Particularly the Monstrox article, where he prefaces every mention of him with a (Gasp!) before his name.

Perhaps Monstrox is trapped inside the book, but his personality is only vaguely aware that he (the Book of Monsters) and Monstrox are the same person? Or maybe the Book of Monsters really isn't Monstrox, but instead his second in command or something, trapped in book form to contain his master?

When I read it, I felt it was pretty blatantly implying that

the Book of Monsters is Monstrox, trapped in a book, and knows it, but doesn't want to admit it to the reader (probably he doesn't want to reveal his whole game plan before he's sure it's too late to stop it).

The pages where he talks about Monstrox in the third person are basically his way of saying "My friend saw Monstrox showering and he said that Monstrox has an eight-pack. That Monstrox is shredded".

Great comparison.

You mean the upcoming one? Here's the pic again:

No, the august's issue.

The July's issue(racer) shall be available now.

Black knight mech is taller then I expected, I like that it's a very different build then king's mech ,slightly weird articulation points but all mechs have their limits really, I don't mind the added blue/darkblue at all in the toy version.

Whiparella is a nice minfigure (my first snake tail fig), and the monster hover "bull" is cool that it has integrated spring loaders yet keeps a similar size as the hover horses.

The prison area is a good addition, fits the style of the lava lair in it's design and the accesoires(2 mini swords/1 sword/dynamite/dagger) & ash attacker with black lance is always nice to have.

Also happy Robin is a different color/print this time with a different logo (got 4 robins total ultimate/polybag/magazine so this is extra nice)

How tall would you say it is in comparison to the King's Mech? Could you possibly post a comparison picture?

I'm sigging that quote in the spoiler tag, if you don't mind. Best comparison. :D

(hopefully it's not an issue to anyone since it was in a spoiler tag...)

It looks like Red She-Hulk's face is Lavaria's

They look like a perfect match.

It's not the same, I saw some larger pictures, and it actually looks way better.

Well, I meant that the Hulks look like a perfect match for the theme. But thanks for the additional input on the Lavaria matter.

I like the magazine lava warrior figure, even tho it's a mix of a flame thrower on a ash attacker body, the axe and crossbow trigger (brown, not grey) are different then the norm.

The knight racer isn't really special, but still will try to get it as a vehicle for a generic soldier since I got some more with a 4-pack+1 promotional I just got, hope there's a minifigure again afterwards since they seem to alternate them.

Would love to see something like a princess macy or armored queen but I doubt the magazine will do that as it's too many unique parts.

Got the book of monsters recently, seems to sum up the lava wave nicely, as well as expecting to see the other plant/water named minifig characters at least in sets next year since they already look like lego figures for the most part (might need some new molds/colors for some parts tho)

I guess they planned at least 2 years of nexo knights, 2016 being lava monster and mostly knight vehicles/fortrex as well as having a lot of sets in general due to being its 1st year

Hopefully 2017 hopefully will have some more monster focus sets/locations.

I don't think the water monster or plant monster would take 2 waves each unless they surprise us, or add a ton of knight vehicles which imo we dont need more at the moment

So, I recently got Clay's Rumble Blade, and it's every bit as good as I thought. I accidentally applied the headlight stickers on the little cars upside-down, but they're relatively even, which is all that matters. I also got Ultimate Axl, but his little backpack arms are kind of ridiculous looking, and don't resemble the ones from the show. I've come up with a fix for it in LDD. Would anyone be interested in seeing it?
