Burf2000 Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Sorry I been away for most of 2014, damn them kids lol So just knocked this up last night. Works quite well Here is my son having a go: Quote
Zerobricks Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Thats really impressive! How many and which motors did you use? Quote
Tommy Styrvoky Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 cool model, I have always wondered how well it works with having a large number of multiple motors to power sources. Quote

JGW3000 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Looks great, really cool proof of concept. Just don't get the hiccups when riding on it! Quote
BusterHaus Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Awesome job! This is quite impressive. Quote
Jim Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 The big guy is back! With awesome stuff as usual. We've seen the chair, at least most of us, so care to explain in a bit more detail how the controls via Google Glass work? Quote
Burf2000 Posted January 8, 2015 Author Posted January 8, 2015 So Google Glass runs Android 4.4w and so it talks to the main NXT using Bluetooth. This NXT then controls the others via touch sensors (paddle system at the back) Ask away if you want to know more! Quote

So, in theory I should also be able to control the chair using my Android Wear smartwatch? Is there an app or something for that or did you make something yourself? Quote
Burf2000 Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 Yeah anything thats Android and supports Bluetooth can control the chair, I hope to at some point do a iOS version, whats your smart watch like. I have a Pebble at the moment and love it. Is their a need for an Android app? Quote

I have a Pebble at the moment and love it. Is their a need for an Android app? Well, I know that there are apps available to control the NXT (and Evo). I don't use my NXT a lot, but I tried it out it in the past and it worked quite nice. But, I didn't know that it would also be possible to do that with Glass and Wear. I have a LG G Watch R as smartwatch. It would be fun to be able to control NXT with a smartwatch, but I don't see a real use in it Quote
Burf2000 Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 Once I get a Google Wear device, I will take a look. The main area missing is iOS support! Quote
