LegoGuyK Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Hi everyone! I have had some thoughts of my favourite LEGO themes, and I decided I would ask everyone else what their favourite is. Mine personally would be Chima or Creator. But what is yours? If you want to post here about your favourite themes, here would be the perfect place! Happy posting!!! :D Quote
Zerobricks Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 My faves are technic, creator and chima too. Guess I'm a sucker for animals too Quote
Andy D Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Modular buildings, Winter Village and some Architecture. Quote
Mikuri Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Chima. I have every sets :D! Huge fan of the minifigures. I have bought several copies of them too. And the Battle packs that are like the best thing ever. Next is Technic <3 And Modulars :D! Quote
Steph 104th Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Superheroes(DC+Marvel), Creator Trains, TMNT, Modulars, The Hobbit and LOTR. I can't say I have a favorite out of those, its like choosing a favorite child, some waves are better than others, but it differs from year to year and I love them all. Quote
XAxles Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) Sorry, officer, it's got to be Galidor. But seriously, Creator, Racers, and Architecture (hooked since UN HQ) keep on swooning me. Edited December 9, 2014 by XAxles Quote
tkatt Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I think Creator is the best, but Time Cruisers is my favorite. Quote
gylman Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Modular buildings, but maybe it's not a fair comparison because they are so much more expensive and detailed than anything else. A few years ago I would have said Classic Castle was my favourate regular LEGO theme, especially the Forestmen. But now I'd say Kingdoms was the best castle series. It had some wonderful sets in the series, especially the Market Village and the jousting set, but Village Mill Raid and even smaller sets like the Blacksmith. Quote
TheBrickPal Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) Mixels, all the way. A franchise that combines my love for both LEGO and animation cannot be beat. Edited December 9, 2014 by Puffle Pal26 Quote
Off the wall Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 While I don't buy them, I think TLG did a great job with their Friends product and very good with anything having to do with Star Wars. I did buy the Death Star set and it has to be the best lego set ever. I'm disappointed in modulars and in the continuing simplicity of the architecture series. Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Creator offers a wide variety. This certainly got more of my money than any of the other themes. For licensed themes, LOTR and the Hobbit are nice. They helped get me back into this hobby. Quote
emem15 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 oh, come on guys. surely it is Star Wars! :) Quote
Ondra Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Technic because... When Im older I want challenges, classic system isnt challenging anymore for me including even exclusive sets.Nothing can satisfy me more than model that is like real thing with all the gearboxes, suspensions or pneumatics. Long live and prosper LEGO TECHNIC Quote
dr_spock Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I got out of my dark ages with creator, technic and pirates. I like trains, city, batman, star wars and friends too. I think I've turned into a cross-themer mixing themes in my MOCs. Quote
JGW3000 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 umh, Technic it is, or better yet, the best combination of bricks and gears, Model Team Quote
Kivi Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 It's not that easy to pick just one to declare it the best of all time, as every era has something appealing to me. Thus my favourites are modulars, creator and trains among active themes and classic space and model team among retired ones. Quote
paul_delahaye Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 For me it's technic, followed by Train and then City/Creator, but with Modular buildings and a few exceptional creator expert sets thrown in the Mix, actually it's hard to pick just one. Quote
Robert8 Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Right now, I would say the Collectible Minifigures. Overall, Castle Quote
Peppermint_M Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Adventurers, duh. Nothing beats it, ever! Every LEGO product since Adventurers has just been a way to expand the theme! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Number one for me is city, followed by DC SH, then Marvel SH, after that castle/pirates. Though I would wish for an awesome sci-fi action license to appear one day.....ah, we can dream right ? Quote
JanetVanD Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 It's certainly not easy to pick just one theme as favourite (or even two or three) With several Lego fans in my household, nearly every theme is well represented! I suppose, if pressed, I would pick Creator and Modulars first, followed by castle and TLOTR& Hobbit as they are loved by all at home. Mind you, I have a good few Star Wars sets and Friends, and Chima and Technic and........and........... Quote
XAxles Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 and........and........... Racers? Any Racers fans with me? Quote
Slurpifier Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 For me, Star Wars, City and Creator. Star Wars got me out of my dark ages, and I have began buying City and Creator to bulk up my collection. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 If it's LEGO, I like it. Now while I do have various reasons for enjoying certain themes a bit more than others such as Creator with its freeform, I truly could not easily nor simply pick only one out of everything that ever was or will be. I like all the designs and challenges each provides. Plus more variety in bricks and colors makes building your own thing easier. Quote
SNIPE Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Technic. Because it put more motion into lego and it can be very compactly done, sure there was wheels and properllers before technic but thats not quite the same. Quote
