KevinMoo Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 (edited) Hi. This is my first post on EB. I'd like to share with you my latest MOC - a Customized Forklift. It features: 1 PF Servo Motor for rear-wheel steering (inspired by Madoca's SUV) 1 PF XL Motor for rear-wheel driving with differential 1 PF L Motor for fork tilting 1 PF L Motor for fork lifting Youtube Video: For parts list and building instructions, check this link on Rebrickable: http://rebrickable.c...omized-forklift Have fun. MajklSpajkl Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I saw this one on rebrickable, really nice forklift! I like it a lot. A forklift is on my to-do list, so I might be peaking at yours before I start my own :-) Quote
Milan Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Looks very massive, but why not double front tires? Quote
KevinMoo Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 Looks very massive, but why not double front tires? Not much room left, already too compact. And I don't like protruding tires, actually. Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Not bad for a first MOC! How much can it lift? Quote
thestericho Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Seen this over on rebrickable, and its on my list to build once I get a few missing parts. Also had my eyes on build Not bad for a first MOC! How much can it lift? also had my eyes on building your 8x8x8 :p Quote
KevinMoo Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 Not bad for a first MOC! How much can it lift? First post but not first MOC :) Honestly not too much with the prototype shown in the vid, it's an empty box with no phone inside. Much better with the white clutch gear changed into a normal 24 teeth gear and some more gear rack added. Quote
Corvette3 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I love it! i almost thought it was an official one, could one of the Ls be substituted with an M? Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Welcome to Eurobricks, that is a great little forklift. Quote
darksheep Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 This is very cool I made it in red . Quote
kandykop Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 great MOC. Do you have account on lelezen? Quote
Carsten Svendsen Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 (edited) Very cool forklift! Looks great too! The only negative thing I have to say is about your controller. It's not really user friendly to have both driving and steering on the same side since you only have 1 thumb on each hand. Either split them apart or rearrange some wires on your model. Cheers! Edit: Nevermind, I forgot that you made a crossover bar thing on the controller for steering. TL;DR Keep up the good work! Edited November 26, 2014 by Carsten Svendsen Quote
BusterHaus Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 This is a very good looking model. I think the steering could be a bit sharper to mimic real fork lifts, but I'm not sure if you can do that with the hubs you are using. Great work and a very nice video, too. Quote
KevinMoo Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 I love it! i almost thought it was an official one, could one of the Ls be substituted with an M? Some side holes of the Ls are used as part of the whole structure, which Ms don't have, but you can try anyway. Not sure if it's a rigid structure any more. great MOC. Do you have account on lelezen? I do, but never posted anything. Quote
Dafgek81 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Like what I see, would indeed put double wheels in the front. And I don't know why it has rear wheel drive, real forklifts use fronwheel or all wheel drive. But mabe I am wrong. Quote
robert Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Really nice MOC. Actually I build your forklift last weekend. Found it on Rebrickable. My compliments for the instructions, they are really good. Cheers, Robert Quote
ms09 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 A very neat MOC. Why is it called "Customized"? Quote
Lakop Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 That's a great forklift. It has a heavy duty look about it. Steering could be sharper etc but great work. I might build it. H Quote
leksivalen Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Excellent creation KevinMoo!!!... When I first saw this at rebrickable at that moment I decided to build it. Finished building it 2 weeks ago and my kids loved it.. Quote
Kumbbl Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 wow - very professional instructions - even with PF-cables and strings... thank you for the good model and the BI for free!! Quote

And I don't know why it has rear wheel drive, real forklifts use fronwheel or all wheel drive. But mabe I am wrong. I have to make some compromises. :) Really nice MOC. Actually I build your forklift last weekend. Found it on Rebrickable. My compliments for the instructions, they are really good. Cheers, Robert Glad you like it. A very neat MOC. Why is it called "Customized"? Becasue it's not an "Official" set. That's a great forklift. It has a heavy duty look about it. Steering could be sharper etc but great work. I might build it. H Right, a real forklift does have a sharper steering. A 12-teeth gear and a 7 studs gear rack will be much better. By the way...PF cables and strings in the BI are really annoying...Get it done, though. Quote
jantjeuh Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Very nice MOC indeed, as I already told you when you first posted it on Rebrickable Welcome to EB! Quote
