Honey....I'm hooooome!!

That was one awesome trip. I need some time to process the pictures.

Welcome back! It took 6 months to me to arrange them into a decent album, so...good luck!

Just one curiosity..how many shots?

Won't take me that long

About 3000 shots I think (not even sure). But I will limit it to around 250 shots. Hopefully I will be ready by next weekend or so.

I'm more concerned about the videos shot with my GoPro. That project will probably take at least a year, possibly more

LOL Welcome back Jim!!!!!! Hope it was really great and you've enjoyed it!!!

We sure did. This was a very special (if not once in a lifetime) experience. I will probably elaborate more on certain parts, but the Grand Canyon was definitely the most amazing experience! Wow!

Being a scifi nerd and all, driving the Extra Terrestrial highway alongside Area 51 was very cool too

I was going to ask what was your favorite part. I'm glad you like the Grand Canyon. How far down did you get in the canyon?

We hiked two trails, the Bright Angel Trail and South Kaibab Trail. Bright Angel Trail we went down to the 3-mile point. Took as 2,5 hours down and 2,5 hours up. Downwards I took most of my pictures and shot most of my movies, that's why it didn't take much more time going up.

We did like Bright Angel better than South Kaibab (we went to the 1,5 mile point). The view might be better on certain points of South Kaibab, but the Bright Angel hike is more fun. We did the Bright Angel first and it was a unique experience. If we did the South Kaibab first, we might have liked that one better. Not sure.

The first look at the Grand Canyon (at the start of Bright Angel Trail) is something I will never forget. When you go see a mountain, you are prepared because you see the mountain from a distance. But seeing a Canyon is much different. It's suddenly there, and it's huge! The grandeur of the Grand Canyon is unprecedented.

We also did the Helicopter tour by the way, which was even more awesome! Flying over the trees and suddenly the tree line stops and you are flying over the Canyon. Amazing!

Heyo, first visit here, didn't even know there was a Technic pub

4 x 42039, wow, good source for the Bright Green parts, at least. I have one, currently built as the B-model since I skipped the A-model.

You should build the A-model as well because it is so nice and well organised piece of art... Maybe those headlights are kind of awkward but it is so nice and well-planned piece of Technic that the experiment is worth of while, trust me ;) And then you can disassemble it, of course, if you wish

You said beer?

Then build this:

Wheeeayyy! To one and only reason to build Technic MOCs! So great and for the one and only purpose  Really thanks for sharing

+1, the A-model is quite cool, one of my favorite technic sets from the past few years.

I'm not very interested in that type of cars, or cars at all really. I don't plan on keeping the B-model assembled either.

But thanks for the tip anyways :sweet:
