Sell Star Wars Minifigs as a lot Vs. Indivually? Help

Recommended Posts

I've got two mini-armies of Episode I battle droids and gungans that I'm considering selling. There's two MTTs and a bunch of kaduus too (approximately 50 of each).

Do you think it's smarter to sell them as armies or try to sell in smaller groups of several and or one on eBay? It looks like Jar Jar has been pricing pretty well lately, but I haven't really seen anything comparable as a group.

Also, if anyone's interested in buying or trading for any, let me know and I can put up some pics and more specific information.

Some things I need, in multiples, tradewise: Killer Croc, new Orcs, Trolls, Dwarves, and skeletal horses ... but generally interested in castle as a whole ... so, let me know.

One at a time will cost you a fortune in fees on ebay. also people get pretty excited about seeing a photo of an army. I sold an 'army' of tusken raiders at what I thought was a ridiculously high buy it now, but it sold with a couple hours.

Go the army, just one package to send, you'll generate lots of interest and lower listing fees, and yo ucan afford to start it really low as there's no way it will sell for some ridiculously low price.

I do all my sales individually. Sorry for the bumperifficality, but I once sold a blue astromech droid for over 20 USD individually, and a HP professor for over 20 USD. I suggest selling them individually, since more items mean more bids and more bids often means more people. Plus, say you list an army of Orcs, Skellie Horses, and two Trolls. Say someone doesen't want the horses. That's one bidder down. Say someone doesen't want the Orcs. Another bidder down. Say someone doesen't want the Trolls. Three bidders down. You may say, Everyone wants extras, but at what cost? There's my, well, more like 50 cents. Good luck in you sales! *y* *sweet*

Never thought Jar Jar would sell well on Ebay. X-D Time for a Gungan Battle pack ;-)

Equally good advice :) Thanks! Now which path to take ... I might do a sample listing w/ a couple of different figures. See how they do and then make a decision based on that. Pictures forthcoming shortly.

Yeah, if it's Battle Droids, sell em' in lots of 5-10. If it's Gungans, sell em' seperately with a weapon(a spear, or, if you are the improvising type, whatever you want ;-) ) and a kaadu. IMHO, just sell a little of each. A few in a lot, a few alone. A single fig with no accessories makes for a sorry sale, but if you buff it up, for example, a Goblin with a sword, helmet, and a shield would sell better than a Goblin with a sword. ;-) Again, good luck listing! *y*
