Here is something that's been crossing my mind lately--What ever happened to the good old days of lego, I mean back when we had Jhonny Thunder, or Alpha Team, or Rock Raiders? Oh yeah, that's right. They were replaced by horribly half-cooked remakes, like Pharaoh's Quest, Atlantis, and Power miners. And I really wish lego would stop using SO MANY SPECIALIZED PARTS! Practically every single piece in "The Thunder Driller" is useless! Come on! In Rock Raiders, there was little to no juniorization AT ALL. Same with Alpha team and JT. There are also too many licensed themes now. The non licensed themes are godawful, just look at the new "Dino" line. Such putrid things have never met my eyes, until I saw this new line. The new Dinos are <insert that tiresome argument> along with pretty much every vehicle in the line. Remember Dino 2010? The Dinos were much cooler, and so were the vehicles. And why are the non-licensed themes so childish and cheesy? Look at Ninjago. C'mon! Really? 4 ninjas fighting a bunch of skeletons and snake people with trucks and ATVs? LAME. Gimme Classic Ninja any day. So much more realistic. Also, it appears Lego has shifted their target audience. Before, Lego appealed to adults and teenagers, not five year olds and toddlers! Lego Used to be a toy about building. Now it's a toy with "some assembly required". WTF!?!?! Little kids, go back to playing with playmobil! Lego is for mature people! Clearly Lego has also forgotten how to make a decent video game. Lego Harry Potter? Lego Star Wars? Lego Rockband? Pshhhh. How about Lego Island?, or Lego Racers? Not these crappy, repetitive excuses for games based off throwaway movies? Sheesh. Excuse me if I sound like a old timer, but all I'm saying is that if Lego went back to their traditional roots, they would make more money, get more fans, and build an even larger community.

Haha. Nice. Shouldn't there be a reptile in between the mouse and the fish though? -
Wow! Really cool!

Harry Potter 2012 Set Ideas Thread
Squishy Stelactite replied to Gregorovich's topic in LEGO Licensed
Lego's philosophy of these things is basically "If the company you're licensed with is done with what you've been marketing for, then stop marketing for it." However, I as an individual don't see it like that. Even though Harry potter is over, it's still a popular franchise. The novels are still selling strong, as well as the films, (which all have a fresh score on rotten tomatoes) and, who could forget Harry Potter? Really--just because the final movie came out doesn't automatically mean that it will be forgotten throughout time! Even non-harry potter fans remember our favorite wizard as that guy with weird glasses and a scar. The franchise is unforgettable. I still however, don't think lego will realize this and take it into consideration quite so easily. But, if you want to be optimistic, you could say that Indiana Jones' license lasted one more year after the movie came out (with sets like temple of doom, venice canal chase, shanghai chase, and Chauchilla cemetery battle.) and with lego superheroes, they're making sets for characters like the green lantern, (who's film came out months ago) Iron Man (Maybe a year) and Hulk. (a long time ago.) Why are they bringing them back? Because they're classics! Or maybe, (I dunno because I'm not hip like that) they all are getting a movie soon. Well anyways, putting that aside, if it is continued, here are my ideas: The Department of mysteries Minifigs: Harry, Lupin, Tonks, Kingsley S., Dumbledore, Voldemort, Bellatrix, and Lucius. (I would add more, but this is just me being realistic. Cost: 89.95$ USD Components: Shelves with prophecies, a red elevator, and an archway. Detention in the forest (Also an add on to 4865) Minifigs: Harry, Malfoy, Quirrel, (with cloak and hood) Firenze, and fang. Cost: 29.99$ USD Components: 2-3 trees and a Unicorn. The Chamber of secrets Minifigs: Harry, Tom riddle, Ginny, Ron, and Gilderoy Lockheart Cost: 69.99$ USD Compnents: Salazar Slytherin's face sculpture, Snake statues, and the basilisk. The first task (Board game) Microfigs: Harry, Fleur, Cedric, and Viktor. Cost: 29.99$ USD Components: Microbuilt dragon, rocks everywhere. RavenClaw/HufflePuff tower (add on to hogwarts) Minifigs: Luna, Cho Chang, Hufflepuff student, Cost: 19.99$ USD Components: Base of tower: Hufflepuff common room. Second level: Bathroom. (possibly Moaning Mertyl's.) Third level: Ravenclaw common room. -

Why Can't I View Member Profiles?
Squishy Stelactite replied to Gioppa's topic in Forum Information and Help
Hello. I'm new to the Eurobricks forums, and I face a bit of a problem. I can't view member profiles. Whenever I click on any link that can send me to the profiles, it takes me to a page that says "you are not permitted to view member profiles." ...lulwut? The stalactite is confused. The Gryffindor common room Greetings everyone. Today I bring you a small diorama of the gryffindor common room, semi-based on the one in the hogwarts castle, only I tried to make it a little bit more detailed. I also didn't add Sirius Black's face in the fire. I probably should have though. I also tried making a fireplace that was better than lego's half-assed fireplace in the hogwarts castle. Here's A whole view of the room.

Uh lol why is he wearing his hat...? -
:P. Nice review. I think I agree with Clone O Patra. The Bikini bottom express was actually the only spongebob set that REALLY impressed me. The others were okay, but IMO the minifigs are the real reason to buy the SB sets.

Spongebob didn't replace Batman. Batman is coming back. As well as Green lantern, Iron man, etc. Google "lego superheroes."
