A quick MOC from the Phantom Menace - the Flash Speeder used by Naboo Forces in Episode I as they take back Theed. Seraph-Class Landspeeder (Flash Speeder) by TeddytheSpoon, on Flickr I got into a really good rhythm with this one, despite its awkward curvy shape. The duck-bill shaped front was especially tricky, and somewhat inspired by Branduin's version on Reibrickable, but it was a really enjoyable challenge. Darth Maul's modified Razalon FC-20 "Bloodfin" Speeder! Stored in Lord Maul's Scimitar front cargo area and deployed via the bow access hatch. Seen briefly in The Phantom Menace when Darth Maul attempts to intercept Padme and Qui Gonn et all as they're leaving Tatooine - with a quick try at squishing young Anakin Skywalker by riding over him - because why not? :) In screenshots from the film, the Bloodfin appears to be very dark grey in colour or dark brown, or possibly a very dusty black. Toy manufacturers and graphic designers have portrayed it as being all different colours from beige and brown to grey and many 2-tone variants... so, I included a few colour ideas for you in the photos, although in the instructions I've stuck to Dark-Bluish Grey with Reddish Brown seats. Hello there, some time ago I started to build a Star Wars diorama. It is the first diorama of this series, because I want to build all episodes. In this model are two main scenes of the first episode. On one side you see young Anakin screwing his Pod Racer on Tatooine. This ship is an old favourite of mine, along with Anakin's Podracer they represent the geeky peak of my youth! Having a go at this in midi-scale was a lot of fun, the ship came together really quickly and going bigger than micro meant being able to explore lots of ways to do the curvy body. It's turned out to be a simple little build that is about 2/3 the length of the last set by Lego and hopefully just as sturdy. I started this one with the cockpit and droid socket area, a pilot can sit inside but it's a tight fit, their arms will have to be touching the controls at exactly the right angle and their hands need to be upside down. I've managed to squeeze in controls and a single instrument along with some seat padding, the pilot will be sitting on the floor which is the plate running along the bottom of the ship. The sides of the ship were the most interesting part of putting this together, getting them connected so they rest in position and don't move was tricky. I have to admit that I stole the engine construction from the 2015 Naboo Starfighter set 75092, the designers have definitely come up with the best method there is and it's a very strong and cheap solution too. Finally, there's a simple and cheap stand to display the starfighter, at a bookshelf-friendly angle. I had the idea for this on the 1st of May and hammered away at it for two days to get it finished for the 4th, there's nothing like leaving your homework until the last minute, right? I am working on a Mandalorian version, making slow progress but I'll have it done at some point. The N-1 is a compact 27.2cm long, 20.8cm wide and weighs about 200g, overall its about 2/3 the size of the 2015 N-1 set. Free instructions are on Rebrickable, I used the most common parts I could to keep the cost down, for the 259 pieces it will cost about £25 but adding a printed droid head will be extra. I finished this one a little while ago and have made a few minor updates to more closely match the build of my Mando version (posted later). Hello everyone! Today I will be sharing my thoughts on 75169 Duel on Naboo Photos are from brickset.com. I have yet to purchase this but I am sure that I will. Here is the box… Let's begin with the minifigures, arguably the main draw of the set… Qui-Gon Jinn is my favorite minifigure in this set. I do not have him yet, so he is good to have. The lack of a cape is excusable in my opinion as none of the characters in this scene were wearing their capes at the duel near the reactor shaft. I like the grey highlights on Qui-Gon's beard and his alternate face. The only complaints I have are that some of the printing isn't the best (the torso part which shows Qui-Gon's overly tanned skin and the leg printing). Obi-Wan Kenobi is my second-favorite minifigure in this set. I also do not have a Padawan Obi-Wan, so this is welcome. I stand by the fact that LEGO should make a new hairpiece for Padawans, as Obi-Wan's hairpiece in this set is grossly inaccurate. I do like his face and robe printing, however, but the same skin tan problem is present here. Darth Maul is definitely my least favorite minifigure in the set. His front torso, back torso, and leg printing are all excellent, and I like the Zabrak horn headpiece, but his face is awful. I know they were going for a grimace, but it ends up looking like a crazy Joker-like maniacal grin. On to the main build next… Does look like quite a mess, doesn't it? I wouldn't want this set if not for the awesome minifigures. Here, the play features are all visible, the Technic beam for the laser gate, the plasma purification chamber, and the reactor shaft with the catapult's lever jutting out. Laser Gate Function… Push the axle in, door opens. Pull the axle out, door closes. Simple enough. However, the laser gate is really inaccurate in my opinion and a drop-down, solid brick-built trans red panel would look better. Despite this, the play feature definitely works well. Here is the plasma purification chamber. It is really tiny compared to the humongous columns present in the scene. The clear piece can open and the plasma can be removed, however, it is evidently not too easy as the cockpit bubble cannot be opened too much. There is also a golden grille piece next to it. I personally feel the pink and the gold clutter up the appearance and color scheme of the set, though others may beg to differ. See? THOSE are the purification chambers. The LEGO one looks really tiny in comparison. There is a clear 6x6 radar dish piece to simulate a hole, but flicking the lever enables Obi-Wan to jump up… or at least it should. Check out JANGBRiCKS' attempt at it (though Maul's lightsaber did block the way for Obi-Wan to jump out in his review): The price… … is $24.99, which provides good value for just over 200 pieces. Verdict: So, do I like this set? Yes. I already said I want to get it. But why do I like this set? It is solely because of the figures. The build, whilst okay, isn't really all that great, and looks kind of messy to me. Therefore, in my opinion, you should get this if you want the minifigures. If you don't want the figures, I think this deserves a pass. But what do you guys think? Let me know in a reply

So after hearing we'd be getting another version of Anakin Skywalker's Podracer in 2016, I decided to go ahead and make my own rendition of it. This model has 253 pieces, and many features such as a detachable stand, rotating engines, and detachable cables. Minifigures include Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padme Amidala, and a Pit Droid.
