Previously... Mars - 3187 A busy street in Brazos Valles... Koro and Blue have traveled back to Sol System after the events in Andromeda. The trail of Raven's bomber has long gone cold, leaving them to stew in a holding pattern while the suits figure out the next step for the company. Brazos Valles is a busy mercantile city. The foot traffic is such that Koro can pass unnoticed. On a whim, he checks a public media terminal that used to be a KG dead-drop back when he had skin. Blue isn't far away. She's been watching Koro's back for months now and likes to be on hand even if he doesn't necessarily know it. Confirming something on her scanner, she makes a call. "Yes, I understand that I'm not due to check in for another three days. This is urgent. For some reason, he's checking an old drop. No, I don't know if there's anything actually there. Of course I will. Yes. Haven't I been doing that all this time? Yes, I did. I thought you might know and want me to intervene. All right, I'll check in as soon as I know." Koro, meanwhile, can't believe his eyes. Not only is there a message waiting in the dead drop, it's about Raven's bombing! He reads the message slowly. Then again. But we both know that all these operators in the wind will almost certainly come back to bite us when we finally do return to Andromeda." "But we also both know that it's one operator in particular who keeps you up at night." "It's been months since there have been any updates. Rumor is that he and his partner are in deep cover, looking everywhere for anyone who knows anything about what happened to Raven. "You're worried he will find out we knew." "As you should be also! He's relentless. If he discovers our involvement, Raven will put us on the Kill List if he doesn't just decide to kill us himself. He's been known to do things like that, Ivanovna. I've seen the reports." "But we weren't really involved, Shin. There's no remaining tether connecting us to the bombing and you have to admit that it went exactly as we were told it would." "How sure are you about that? I have come too far to bet the whole farm on the competence of people I don't control." "That's why we have the failsafe. Don't worry, we will be able to move against Koro long before he can move against us." "In the meantime, there's only really one cure for the itch between my shoulderblades. Every space colonizing corporation, group or private company, needs their own submersible to explore, harvest or kill the deep ocean floors from planets, moons and comets. The following three submersibles are build to represent their own faction. My own submersible for AG back then, was the Kaito Mk1 from Kawashita. Shobuda entered the building slowly, brushing past the creepers and vines near the garden entrance. "Otousama," he called. "Otousama, are you at home?" "Yes," came the reply, "I am over here, tending to the anthynia. I found some kuwagata larvae destroying the roots, and I..." The older man broke off as he stood and saw the young officer before him. "Why, Shobu-kun, have you been promoted?" Shobuda beamed. "Yes, father. I am a captain now." The older man smiled as the young man continued, "and we are going back! At long last!" The older man's smile faded instantly. "Going back? But...why? W-w-when?" "Reports have come in saying the zone is safe. Our departure date has not been announced, but Octan is already preparing. Our forces have been commanded to be ready at a moment's notice. Your presence in Kawashita's science branch would mean much toward discovering new species and..." He trailed off, as the older man turned away wordlessly, squatting to perch himself at the edge of the small fountain in the center of the greenhouse. "Are you not proud?" Shobuda asked. "I am proud, but my pride is overshadowed by worry." "You need not worry! The Kawashita High Command has assured us..." "And that is my worry!" The younger man stood in surprised silence, interrupted only when the older man asked, "for what noble deed did they advance your rank, musuko? For bravery and honor in conflict and battle?" "...Yes," Shobuda started, beaming again despite himself. "What conflict? What battle?" Came the retort. His question answered by his son's resumed silence, the old man continued. "There has been no conflict since the Gates were locked, and armed competition has been outlawed in this solar system. Why reward you now when the conflict has been over for months?" Again, the younger man remained silent, his proud grin becoming replaced with an angry scowl. "I presume many of your compatriots have also been promoted?" Shobuda gave a sharp nod. "The danger is real my son. Not danger of war, of sabotage, or of any human creation, but of greed. I believe you worthy of your promotion, Shobu-kun, but I do not believe your superiors would grant it to you upon merit. I see that they would rather buy your allegiance, that they may use you to enrich themselves." Incensed, Shobuda stood unflinching. His father slowly turned to face him, and when their eyes met, Shobuda could take it no longer. "You are an old man, and know nothing!" he cried. "The world has changed much since your time! You will sit idly by and watch, with your old ways, while I will inherit a new future!" "My son, please reconsider..." "No. I am going. I will prove myself and you will see! You stay here and waste away, I have worlds and riches before me!" Cursing under his breath, Shobuda turned and stormed out through the arbor. The older man sat silently, sadly, for several minutes. When he came to himself, he stood up wearily and returned to his work, collecting the kuwagata grubs in a basket. He had a game of Go in the afternoon, against an old ex-marine friend from Mantis. Previously... Luna - 3187 The Skylanes above Aristarchus City It's been a while since a particular pair of Kawashita operatives have seen each other. Bonnie, who was once called "The Mechanic" and renowned for her technical skills with exotic weaponry and cybernetic prosthetics, has been retired ever since the retreat from Andromeda. After what he discovered on Mars, Koro felt it was time to look her up. "It's not that I'm unhappy to see you, Koro. It's just that, after the way you left it..." "Look, I'm sorry. After Orinshi I knew it might be a very long time between visits and I just didn't want to leave you hanging." Bonnie feels a little skeptical. "You must think I'm really quasarin' stupid, Koro. We're both professionals." "C'mon. You didn't really want to sit there waiting for me to get all beat up before getting to see me. What kind of relationship is that?" "Maybe you should have let us figure that out." "Maybe." Koro throws up his hands, conceding. There's an awkward silence... "There's more to it, isn't there?" "Ain't there always?" "Did you finally catch a break in your investigation?" "How did you know about that?" "Raven and I talk all the time. I've probably got better security clearance than you do, these days." "I thought you were retired." "Well. Semi-retired." "Okay then, yes. There's been a lead. I won't go into details about how I found out, just your average boring spy junk, but it's starting to look like an inside job." "Does that surprise you?" Koro becomes uncharacteristically thoughtful. "I don't even know any more. The whole Andromeda thing was such a clusterbrick. Opsecs blown left and right, people going rogue or defecting, second guessing every body at every level. Kind of makes it hard to be the company's #1 Killbot, you know?" "Reminds me of the turmoil around the Belt Resource disputes in 3052." "You read too much, Bonnie." "Whatever. Why tell me all this, anyway? You could have just played the stoic assassin who doesn't trust anybody." "You're about the only person I do trust, Bonnie." This catches Bonnie off guard. She goes quiet for a while, thinking about something. Koro is oblivious, naturally. "Umm... What about Blue?" "Hard to say." "I don't see how. You've been traipsing around with her for a year." Roomba Robot The Scurrier I Spy... ...Something Green and Red Inspired Action Sudden Geyser Galaxy Transport The Bentley Wheel Well Sushi Chef Ender had been exploring one of the mountains on Arium Minor when his dog Yankee ran off. They were near the summit of one of the mountains and there was so much snow around it was hard to see where Yankee had gone. Ender finally cornered Yankee. And he was about to grab him and head back to base. But all of a sudden, the ground fell out from beneath him!

He walked to the entrance of the briefing room. New Orders by North White, on Flickr A Kawashita Stormninja stood in front of the entrance of the briefing room. His ranking was far above Mesabi. His eyes were hidden behind sunglasses, and his face covered by a ceremonial bulletproof ninja covering. He grunted at Captain Mesabi "Business?" Asked the Stormninja "Captain Mesabi. Secret Mission." Replied Captain Mesabi New Orders by North White, on Flickr "Head inside." The Stormninja moved aside New Orders by North White, on Flickr Captain Mesabi walked into the briefing room where Mister Baxter and Mister Fischer stood in front of a holographic console. New Orders by North White, on Flickr "Captain Mesabi. You're record precedes you." Said Mister Baxter "When other Kawashita team members in Andromeda went MIA, you kept up the fight." Said Mister Fischer "Thank you." Said Captain Mesabi New Orders by North White, on Flickr "So let's go over your mission, Captain." Said Mister Baxter Mister Fischer pressed a button on the console. A blurry hologram of a space station appeared. New Orders by North White, on Flickr "This is the only image of a station located somewhere in Andromeda. It was created by the Omega Group, a mysterious group that has operated in the shadows since the first forays into Andromeda." Said Mister Fischer "We think they're developing a weapon. But that's just speculative." Said Mister Baxter "So you want me to?" Asked Captain Mesabi New Orders by North White, on Flickr "Find it. It must have sustained damage in the radiation flares, so personal on the station may have been evacuated. But again, this is all speculative." A ship will be provided, once the portal to Andromeda is reopened." Said Mister Fischer "Ready your crew. Prepare them well." Said Mister Baxter "Thank you sirs, I'll leave immediately." Centuries ago athletes would shoot low caliber firearms at targets ranging from 10, 50 to 300 meters away. As time passed the distances increased to where we are today. Athletes fire from a landing pad at passing asteroids over 30km away. The weapons are high powered kinetic energy weapons. With extremely high powered scopes they fire a shot, then head home to see if it hits hours later. long day today, so my weekly build may be late tonight, keep this build simple before I head out!

They had just defeated Graver and his robot, a threat to the Kawashita corporation, and most of his friends were celebrating. But Ender was in the training room trading blows with a training bot. Tifa, who was essentially his superior officer came in and watched as Ender finished a programmed routine. "Didn't anyone tell you we beat the bad guys already? Why don't you come celebrate with the rest of us?" "We got lucky this time. What if my plan hadn't of worked? How many more would have died before they were finally stopped? I have to be stronger so there's no luck involved next time." "We're one step ahead of you. We've been training men and other things to be ready for whatever threat might be next." "What do you mean 'other things'?" "Oh he's so cute!" "Cute and deadly. We've trained him to attack anyone or anything that's threatening you. This way, you'll have him to watch your back. I hoped to do a lot more building for AG, unfortunately I just don't have the time to do so. But when SHIPtember came up, I thought let's give it a try and build a spaceship. And what's a space if it's not build by the Kawashita Group So keep this up, with all the awesome mocs all you guys are building here. I'm still lurking in the shades to pop up now and than... :: A leader lost – Part II :: :: Guinevere :: More days past behind the screens of the library, until I crossed some documents of a similar case decades ago. When he dug into the story deeper he found out it was his ancestor Nar Bilu of Hemresa, Lord of Avalonia who was stung by a creature. Tales told it was a curse, but we now know better than that. Those same stories told it was a person from far away who cured him. Those terms could mean two things, he was not from Historica or not from that planet. Further investigation of the documents tells me that the latter is more reliable. Days went by, trying to find out what cured my great grandfather, after who I was named. I had to translate dozens of files from languages I’ve never seen before, but... I found something that seems like an answer. There is a cave here on Guinevere, which carries an odd plant. That mixed with the essence of Biomass, should do the trick. I assessed myself and decided that I have gained enough strength to burden myself with an exploration mission on Guinevere. Try to find the cave. I packed a gun, binoculars, a vile of Biomass essence and a medikit. The hoover-scooter took me upon the surface of craters, lava streams and erupting volcanoes until I found a couple of mountains with caves on a quiet piece of the planet. The directions in the documents were not very clear, but research pointed me to this location. The first few caves were not fertile enough to support any form of life, but when I searched for the fourth cave I was surrounded by fungi and trees. Initially I found the cave. The entrance was build, with some sort of technology and when I approached it, it came to life. It lit up and behind it, I saw green meadows, trees, water and a building. My curiosity couldn’t withstand the temptation. To be continued...
