  1. Here is Southern Pacific 'Daylight' steam loco number 4449 with it's matching streamlined passenger train. These five cars have been built since late March, while the loco is much newer. The consist includes: - 4449 and it's tender - a baggage car - two coaches - a dome car - an observation lounge This is my 7-stud wide interpretation of the last surviving member of the GS-4 Daylight class, otherwise known as Southern Pacific 4-8-4 steam engine number 4449. I made this MOC as a companion to the later GS-6 type No. 4460 (of which I have a MOC of already and you can see in it's own topic here), and I actually used that other last-of-it's-kind Daylight as a starting point. I added the full streamline shrouding and the famous Daylight color scheme of red, orange, and black. I couldn't quite do 4449 total justice, but I did my best without using any stickers. As for a train for this engine to pull, the coaches have already been built for a while and match up perfectly with this loco. The rear of the engine. You can read about 4449's long history on this Wikipedia page. Baggage / coach. The two passenger cars. The dome car. The observation car. Thoughts? (apologies on the potato quality of some of the pictures!)
