Hello everyone. I have decided to make a discussion thread for one of the biggest movie franchises of all time. Bond, James Bond. Right now a discussion is going on about who the next Bond should be. Some say Idris Elba, some say Tom Hardy, some say Tom Hiddleston. Who do you think should be the next Bond?

007 Aston Martin V8 Vantage by rolli From James Bond 007: The Living Daylights (1987) Built for the fbtb.net's "MOC the 80s!" contest. I've been talking about doing James Bond related MOCs for a while now, always putting them off for something else. This years fbtb.net contest left me without an excuse and I decided to finally build one of my favourite cars from the franchise. It was quite a quick build, just two evenings in early September. And then I had to wait for those lovely striped tiles that are incredibly hard to get. And now its the last day to enter ;) My thanks and credits go to Calin for the wheel technique - and for Cecilie for providing me with wheels I didn't own - cause why would I own any? :P Intact side with 007 (out of camera): Back (out of camera): Real car for comparison: Looking forward to your opinions on it! I'd be happy about any feedback whatsoever, it being my first car. Best Markus

Hi all, I've built some James Bond 007 movie cars recently. Being a big Roger Moore fan I always wanted to build one of his nice Lotus Esprits, however, this proved to be more difficult than I had thought. Anyway, I finally found a way to build the frontend without using curved slopes which don't meet the shape of a Lotus Esprit. Now this is the Lotus S1 from the movie "The Spy Who Loved Me": The model is built in a 1/35 scale which I'm actually preferring for passenger car purposes. A scale of about 1/40 would be better regarding the minifigs, however, it seems to be very difficult to get good-looking sports cars at such a scale. Plus a scale of 1/35 still allows you to fit in a minifig without mutilating it: Anyhow this Lotus Esprit might be among the smallest and lowest you may find in minifig scale. After that I also wanted to have the Lotus Esprit Turbo with the iconic skis from the film "For Your Eyes Only". Of course, the colour doesn't match the original plus I had to take the older mudguards here, but I was able to build a better backend on this one: Now I wanted to see what this setting would look like with the newer mudguards. Fortunately, there's another Lotus Esprit Turbo in "For Your Eyes Only" - a white one which didn't last long due to the most stupid burglary protection Q ever developed. I also found a way to add a proper rear-view mirror on this one: Of course, the most important and most famous version was still missing which was built some days ago. I just had to think about a way to mimic the boat-like understructure which is built upside-down: More pics of the several Bond Esprits on my Flickr. Still, there are some more Bond related car MOCs. Some of you guys may know the Rolls-Royce from the movie "Goldfinger" which was built to go with the Aston Martin DB5 from last year: Being a James Bond fan there'll probably some more 007 MOCs in the future. Thanks for looking!

As this was originally a reply to a Request Thread request, I thought I would actually add more and more to it, as I'd love to make some of the James Bond characters from the new movie, Skyfall, but also from the classic films and add them all here. As I get theme done, I'll just add them here, instead of the request thread. Hope you like and as usual your comments and critiques are definitely welcome! (Only have one design done and may not add to this for a while, as I have the Assassin's Creed designs to go back to first) Note: The following designs are original property of the designer and are provided for personal use only, alterations or use of this design for sale are only allowed by permission of the designer James Bond - Skyfall (Daniel Craig version) Though I know it is tradition to keep the eyes dark, Daniel Craig's blue eyes are so distinctive and part of his look, that I think it was necessary and needed to make them light blue. Based on this picture: Clear Version: Silva (Javier Bardem)- Skyfall Here's a work in progress face, as Silva's face is VERY difficult to get right. It may be changed and edited from time to time. For now, at least, I thought I'd release his face for those that would like to print it off and use. I think the best use for this would be with a tan torso and dark brown legs, and the tan swept back hair like here. I will also upload a version with his police decoy outfit soon, so stay tuned. Tan Suit Version (This should be sized correctly to fit the minifigure and will not need to be resized in Microsoft Word if printed off - please let me know if this is not the case) Clear Version:

One of the most infamous conspiracy theories contends that the United States never actually landed men on the moon. That, in fact, the images from the moon were actually photographed in a soundstage or aircraft hangar. Conspiracy theorists point to odd shadows or reflections as supposed "proof” that the moon landings were faked. This urban legend has even been featured in several movies including James Bond's "Diamonds are Forever", and “Capricorn 1” staring O.J. Simpson. This box diorama has been a popular exhibit at NILTC shows, and was featured prominently in promotional advertising for the 2014 Brickworld shows. Hi After the overwhelmingly positive response to my James Bond project, which is still a WIP, I have decided to make a sister project of Bond's famous adversaries. Like the Bonds, these will all be purist and I am open to any suggestions, feedback or constructive criticism, enjoy! Please note, some of the descriptions may contain spoilers for the associated movies. Dr Julius No (Dr No) "Unfortunately, I misjudged you, you are just a stupid police man" The first Bond villain, Dr No plans to demonstrate the power of SPECTRE by sabotaging US Space launches from his secret base in Jamaica. Having lost his hands through radioactive exposure, he has metal claws strong enough to crush a gold statue. Donald 'Red' Grant (From Russia with Love) "I get a kick out of watching you, the great James Bond, find out what a bloody fool he's been making of himself." Grant is SPECTRE's most formidable assassin, sent to kill Bond aboard the Orient Express and steal back the top secret Lektor machine he took from the Russians. The figure is carrying the exploding briefcase that causes his downfall after he blows his cover as a fellow British agent by ordering red wine with fish. Auric Goldfinger (Goldfinger) "This is gold, Mr Bond. All my life I've been in love with its colour... its brilliance, its divine heaviness." A millionaire obsessed with Gold, Goldfinger embarks on the crime of the century, to break into Fort Knox, but doesn't plan to take a single bar of gold... Elektra King (The World is not Enough) "You wouldn't kill me. You'd miss me." After her oil tycoon father is assassinated, Elektra inherits the King pipeline, bringing crude oil from Azerbaijan to Europe. She and Bond become extremely close, before she reveals her villainous intent to monopolise oil production with a nuclear meltdown in Istanbul. Gustav Graves (Die Another Day) "You're a rare challenge, Mr Bond. " A wealthy diamond miner, Graves has developed the Icarus satellite, supposedly capable of increasing daylight in parts of the world which normally spend months in darkness, however he is in fact the disguised Colonel Moon, a North Korean war criminal who Bond supposedly killed. Graves and Bond meet during a fencing match, so I have re-created that look here. Le Chiffre (Casino Royale) "I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire." A maths genius and expert poker player, Le Chiffre is also a terrorist banker who uses his skills with statistics to play the stock market, but when Bond prevents a terrorist attack on Miami Airport, his plan to profit from a drop in airline stock fails and he must turn to the casino tables to recoup his loses, hence he is seen here with a gambling chip. That's all I have for now, I hope to post some more (and better pictures!) soon!

Hi I have decided to create a custom minifigure of James Bond for each of the official films, which will eventually include the soon to be released Spectre. For each film, I am trying to recreate Bond's 'signature look' which is easier for some films than others, any ideas, comments and criticism is welcome. These are the ones completed so far, all are purist Dr. No Being the first film, I went for Bond's iconic tuxedo and, since the only guns are revolvers which don't really match what Bond uses, I have given him a Martini glass. From Russia with Love For most of the film, Bond wears a light grey suit and tie, this one I think is a good match. I have given him the sniper rifle he uses in the film and the brown suitcase represents the Lektor machine he is assigned to steal from the KGB. Goldfinger One of the most famous scenes in Goldfinger has Bond and the villain play a tense game of golf. The outfit here is very similar to Bond's but in the wrong colour, his sweater should be a dark red or brown, but I haven't found a better match so far. He is seen here holding the bar of Nazi gold he wagers against Goldfinger in the match. You Only Live Twice In You Only Live Twice, Bond must disguise himself as a Japanese fisherman in order to infiltrate Blofelt's base. I have recreated that look here with a black kimono and Japanese wig. While Bond himself does not actually wield a samurai sword in the film, several other characters do and it seemed a good fit. On Her Majesty's Secret Service The first film without Sean Connery, hence I have given Bond a different face and hair. For much of the story, Bond impersonates a Scottish Baronet, in appropriate attire. As he proposes marriage in the film, I have given him a wedding ring. Licence To Kill One of Timothy Dalton's two films sees Bond pitted against the evil drug dealer Franz Sanchez and cut off from MI6, so his sharp suits give way to more practical clothing. As the story revolves around drugs and money, including $5 million dollars Bond steals from Sanchez, Bond has a bank note here. These are all of the Bond's I have completed so far. Most of the other films are somewhere in the pipeline! Coming soon; The Spy who Loved Me Moonraker The Living Daylights Die Another Day
