Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa Mosaics
SirNadroj replied to SirNadroj's topic in Pirate MOCs
Actually, I bought 90 1 x 1's for .83 cents on S@H, so I actually got a pretty good deal, but the black peices I had to buy off BL, so the black peices all together cost more than the three shades of gray put together! :-X Well, my family contributed to my cause because I donated the one, but I got enough peices to make another 10 or so, so I'll sell those off (for a profit! ;-) ) I've sold 2 already, and made a considerable amount of money compared to what was spent, so hopefully at the auction, someone will want to commission me. Or that's what I'm hoping! :-P Well, LEGO is copywritten, isn't it? Besides, I think people can infer by the colours and font, which looks pretty close to the real thing! And for the ignorant people, they'll just be curious, and eventually email me! :-D I'm not sure exactly, somewhere nice, I assume! :-$ (In RI, I think.) -
Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa Mosaics

Just wanted to update you guys ~ the auction is Saturday. To my surprise, it is gonig to VERY formal, but they provided a free tuxedo rental for my brother and I. :'-) I've acutally decided not to give the Barbossa mosaic, just because not too many people will recognize him ~ plus I've had the mosaics on exhibition and more people like and recognized Jack Sparrow. But I still have a feeling it'll rake in lots of money for them. Here's a picture of the finished, framed product. (The folks at the frame shop professionally framed it free of charge! :'-) ) I'll let you guys know how much is goes for on Saturday! X-D -
Simple explaination. It's Fox News. :-P

I've seen his work before and replicated it for fun! He does a great job ~ they're poseable and the look great! Very inventive (and cute!) *wub*

Another great review! *y* My opinon of this figure is that the torso is great but the captain bicorne looks horrible with it ~ the ragged red shirt with the belt and cross strap doesn't look captain-ish. ;-)

Well, I build sets and display them, and eventually I break them and sometimes sort them and use them in MOCs. Have the best of BOTH worlds! Because if you, like me, want to work for TLC someday, you may not get anywhere just buidlnig sets. (I dunno if you do, but I do!) MOCing is the way to express creativity!

"My God", or... "My Avatar!" X-D What the megabloks were these people thinking! Notice how this is FOX news, which is usually a bunch of propaganda, actually agreed that these idiots are probably legally skitzofrentic! :-D Communism? Give me a break! :-X Heck these kids are lucky they get lego! I never got to play with them when I was in school! :'-( And I couldn't help but notice they said 'Legos' but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't the plural of 'Lego' Lego? :-P And if I'm worng, didn't TLC release a statment saying they didn't want to be referred to as 'legos' but 'lego toys' or lego products'? :-P Amen, brother! ;-)

Like other people have said, there are a lot of idiots and children on MOCpages. You don't see spamming like that (usually ;-) ) here at EB because it's 18+, a dn the people younger are 100% mature. I bet those losers just post 1/5 stars for the hell of it. Not to brag, but my MOCs on there are a lot better than others I've seen, but I still get bad ratings sometimes. (Not to brag, or anything; just posting my opinon! ;-) ) I'll continue to use it as a back-up because you can never have enough back-ups. I'll probably redo my whole brickshelh and update soon when I have spare time, becuase I haven't updated in months! But again, flcikr all the way! *y* Let us know what happens! ;-)

Charles Band's 'Puppet Master' soundtrack. A very rare collection of scores, let me tell you! :-P

Either Umbridge's hair ( *wub* ) or the Victor Krum shark head! *y*

Hinckley AND Chuck both have good points... 8-|

$18 for an X-Lrg baseplate? Now that's a rip-off because retail in $9.99 USD, right? Where did you buy it? eBay? K-B toys? I know TRU sells em' for $12.99 USD. |-/

If anyone here has some they want to sell, please PM me. All I'm looking for is one of each shape or colour. I'm not looking for tons! Like I said, I only want a few for the sake of it! ;-)
-
Thanks ~ but the house isn't in my mind. The others living in it are! ;-)
-
Actually, I'm almost 100% positive NANOs are smaller than Modulex. Besides, I only want Modulex for the sake of it, and because TLC produced them, and I am TLC's biggest drone and sucker for buying anything they could possibly make. ;-) Especially items that aren't exactly lego bricks, like Modulex bricks. Close, but no shave! :-D
-
No offenese, but I don't think anyone on a LEGO forum wants those! :-P ............... ;-) But thanks for your offer. X-D
-
Did you read this? :-P Here's a pic of the jack-o-lantern I just finished carving. It's a cyclops. I know this doesn't have anything to do with my costume, but Oh Well!
-
Well, half way through Halloween, I'm gonna get sick of the mask anyway and take it off! ;-)
-
I was gonna suggest just buying what you need on BL, but you beat me to it! ;-) Personally, I'm not much of a city MOCer so I don't know, but maybe LEGO is just trying to give us a variety? Sure beats the heck out of me. Again, just buy what you need on BL, or buy the packs and sell what you don't on BL, like what Hincks said. ;-)

So I can breathe! :-P So, every year, since my brother and I set up a huge display to scare the kiddies, I take up a project. This year's project was: The Zombie Marine! This 6' + mannequin is REALLY creepy in person! 8-

Yup, it's one of those blank white masks. And I'm not a nazi, I'm a STAZI of the EAST german military! :-P Hitler committed suicide before East Germany exsisted. Besides, like I've said, I'm half-jewish! I just like foreign military things, is all! X-D
-
You guys may have seen the first pic of my costume, but here's the whole thing together: 99% authentic (minus the mask, obviously, and the golves. The goggles are probably U.S., not East German, too.) What do you think? ;-)
-
You can't find one for yourself, and I can't pick one for myself! :-D How about searching eBay for a custom Aayla Secura minifigure? X-D
-
Happy Birthday! *sweet* Lucky ~ even I don't have the UCS MF yet! :'-(
-
Nice vig! ;-) So I guess you don't want to sell em', huh? ;-) See, I searched BL and someone from Australia has many 1 x 4 wihte bricks only for $20, but I want a variety of shapes and colours...
