  1. Hmmm... I'm Roman Catholic, so it's good that at least one parish doing something with LEGO! :-D Maybe I'll make a mosaic for my church.... nah, they'll have to pay me! ;-)
  2. All that means is that you don't get an extra Obi-Wan head. :-P Just kidding ~ I'm glad LEGO has worked out the kinks (with some of them anyway! :-D ) ;-)
  3. No news yet. Keep your eyes open for ads in the Sunday Papers to come, since it is still early. But I'm not crazy enough to go to one of those stores on BF. No, no, no! They'll be so crowded! I'll just wait... unless the sales are too good to pass! (Like Dwarves Mine 1/2 off! Man, I'm hoping! ;-) )
  4. Hmmm... I missed that ad in my Big Toy Book from TRU. ;-) I'll probably get to one today, since I'll be near one anyway. X-D
  5. I just got back from the auction. I had a great time ~ it was really fun! There were a lot of important people there, including the governor, but it was still great to meet everyone ~ they were super nice! I also had a chance to bid on some things, and I won tickets to the Late Night with Conan O'Brien Show, so I'll be headed to New York sometime next year. But on to the main thing. I may have mentioned my brother made a chess set from polymer clay. That started $500 USD and went for $1500 USD. And the mosaic also started at $500 USD and sold for $1750 USD! I'm really happy for the Tomorrow Fund! They realy made a lot of money tonight! And a lot of people took my card, so I may be getting some commissions (hopefully! ;-) )
  6. Great job, PSP! But I think I already told you that! ;-)
  7. Good point, Mr. Phes. ;-)
  8. Well, I never make two of the same mosaics! ;-) I'm about to leave for the auction, so I'll probably let you guys know how it did tonight or tomorrow. ;-) BTW Col. Whipstick: I love your avatar! :-D
  9. Why thank you folks! :-) I always appreciate positive feedback! ;-)
  10. Do you mean 7994?! X-O
  11. Thanks. The first one my be easier if you are strong ~ but the second one was easier for me. You just need the right tools, lucky for me, the toolbox in my garage is like a plier store! ;-) Once I order the other keychains and work on them, I'll probably take a better pic for my avatar ~ the one now isn't perfect.
  12. EUREKA! IT WORKED! ;-) Thanks for the help so mcuh guys! I did use Captain Sly Owl's technique, since it was easier and worked better ~ but I couldn't the the metal screw out ~ I had to break it. Oh well! X-D Work area: Me as an ambassador (you may see a new sig fig from me soon! ;-) ): Taken apart: The coolest hat ever: Beret: Bottom: Torso w/ broken screw I'm gonna buy 2 more and take another apart and keep the other intact! :-P
  13. Interesting ~ thanks for the link! *y* The only problem with that is that I'm a weakling! :-D
  14. Hey! ;-) I searched EB for a thread like this, but I didn't find one. So on to my question: Is there a way to remove the keychain from LEGO keychains, so I can end up with just the minifigure (with a hole in the top ;-) ) Are there any specific tools or techniques? Because I want to get rid of the keychain portion of my ambassador keychain, but I don't want to break it, because it's the only one I own, and they're not cheap enough for me to buy a bunch and experiment with on bricklink. X-D (Ambassador keychain, in case you don't know.) Thanks for the help! :-)
  15. I know the LEGO Store had a 'Build Your Own Minifigure' promo. The wizard AND princess peices were among the peices one could choose. That's where I got all of mine! ;-)
  16. Shoot! >:-( Oh well, I got mine with a discount at the LEGO store anyways. Thank goodness for those loyalty cards! ;-)
  17. Yeah ~ the quality changes with the weather ~ and there's supposed to be a bad northeaster tomarrow! :-D I best not take any pics for a few days! ;-)
  18. Thanks guys ~ and I'll robably get a new camera for christmas, the one I use now is awful! |-/ Because he'd get em' dirty/ the act was slapstick, but the king wasn't amused! ;-) Off with his head! :-D
  19. Hello friends! *sweet* Here, we have a triple-vignettes, which stack up. These are supposed to by funny. ;-) The bottom one is of the castle's catacombs, the middle section is of a winery, and the top is the throne room. I'll explain each later. But first, here's is an overview with everything all together! Here's vignette #1: The Catacombs: One guard is surprised to see the lid to one of the great, but dead, knight's coffin off. Curious, he investigates, only to find the corpse staring back at him! You may remeber the hat 'popping' off the scared mnifigure's head from my Pirate Halloween entry! X-D Here's Vignette #2: The Royal Vintner The queen decides to take a stoll to taste a sample of the new wine, so she goes to the winery (if that's what they call it ;-) ) The vintner is pressing the grpaes with his disgusting, smelly feet. Suddenly, the queen gets such a fright that she knocks over the barrell of wine! The vintner is obviously angry, since it takes him a very long time to press the grapes with nothing but his feet. But what was the queen afraid of? The rat or the vintner? :-X And finally, Vignette #3: The Court Jester The king wants his court jester to preform. But the king is not impressed with the jester's slap-stick comedy act. He order's the guard to haul the jester away after seeing too much... ;-) (The white 1 x 2 tiles w/ grooves are supposed to be the fringe of the carpet) Thanks guys! Feedback's appreciated! *sweet* Here's the MOC page: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/40262
  20. As requested, I updated and revised this to make it look a bit more 'post-apoc' since I agree that it was too brown/rown. ;-) The details/changes are very subtle. What do you guys think? Better, the same, or worse? X-D
  21. Have you tried Bricklink ?
  22. Hmmm...here's my latest sigifg.... ;-) For some reason, this one doesn't have the new castle confident/scared face! X-O God: X-D
  23. Everyone's entry(s) were fantastic! *sweet* (Thanks for any votes! ;-) ) I'd also like to say "Good Luck to Everyone!" *y*
  24. Simple, effective, and very nice! But I can't help but feel I've seen this technique used before.... ;-)
  25. Amen! Finally, someone is aware of Fox News, or as I like to call it Faux Noise and their nonsense! ;-) Wow, I didn't start the political debate this time! :-D To reponsd to your second point: Yes, but even so, that just reinforces the fact that it is their opinon. Personally, for once, I agree with them about the ban being ridicuolous, but they don't have any primary sources. I'm surprised they didn't pull one of their poll gags and ask the people of america what they think! :-D Who cares what america thinks? X-D (that is hypothetical! ;-) ) But that's all I've got to say! Thanks! ;-)
