  1. Wow, the one in the original height looks so good. I will for sure see if I can manage to mod it in a similar way too.
  2. This video is sadly not at all convincing me to buy the set. It is nice that they tell people inspiring details of being a Lego designer but I learned nearly nothing about Downtown Diner
  3. Yay! In the end the tension was getting me this time again! I loved all the builds and am excited to check out the winners of tomorrow. Wish you all a merry christmas
  4. Thank you so much for handling this! Turns out to be more stressful than expected...
  5. I absolutely agree! Looks amazing with all the curving on the roof and much more fitting with the colors.
  6. I think it would be very nice if you could be the room responsible! And yes, @snefroe join us!
  7. Ahh nice! So there will be a crazy swedish cabin again Lovely
  8. @Holodoc @Vaionaut What do you think about sharing a cabin? And if yes who would like to join?
  9. Indeed they totally made it worse! It was fine and there was never a problem for us with the beds they had. Now I guess I am absolutely light weight enough to sleep in one of these but getting in and not falling out will be a little challenge I guess... But anyway the wild west cabins are looking the same as ever on the website: https://www.legoland.dk/en/accommodation/legoland-holiday-village/cabins-motel-and-camping/wild-west-cabins/ And also Ninjago looks fine: https://www.legoland.dk/en/accommodation/legoland-holiday-village/cabins-motel-and-camping/ninjago-cabin/ I'd like to mention Vaionauts suggestion. We both would be in for sharing again! But we can sort out these things in the corresponding topic.
  10. Hahaha yes you know at one point we really need to make it happen!
  11. With all the nice and familiar people signing up I have too! So it will be me and I also need a room to share. Other info for me is that I have no clue what I will be doing for a job in May 2018 since I will just finish Uni in March...So I have no clue about vacation yet. But I will just make it possible somehow Sounds good for me Varionaut!
  12. I am a little bit exhausted with photo-shopping right now. So I am sorry but I will pass on this one.
  13. You are welcome! I mean the look does not change too much from the original I think. But also keep in mind that most of the other parts are not yet produced in Dark Azure... It is true that it somehow has a nice art deco / moderne style as a skyscraper and does look good from the proportions as a double with multiple stories.
  14. Actually for me this is too much. I prefer the double from the looks. But I bet there will be people that go compleatly crazy...
  15. Like this? Here you go!
  16. Wow! I am normally not a big fan of double modulars but in this case the building looks so much more complete and finished. The stand alone model looks just too small as a structure. But this one looks like it came straight from Miami!
  17. Thanks! The color that I used is no actual lego color, but it was easy to get evenly changed in photoshop. But I had exactly medium nougat in mind! I guess dark orange would also look nice tho.
  18. Well, as much as I love the fresh idea of bringing the modulars in the time of art deco the colours are just a little bit too much for me. And especially the big Diner sign makes the building look small in my opinion. Other than this I feel that there would have been nicer options to include printed tiles instead of all the star tiles that we already have seen a lot (especially in Palace Cinema) e.g. the Jack Sparrow printed belt piece that looks like bacon. Or the printed waffel piece from the Lego Movie sets. Also instead of the big brick build Diner sign that in my opinion destracts a lot from the rest of the building there could be a printed 2x4 tile like in the Parisian Restaurant as a more subtile Diner sign. And maybe make the round dish on top a nice clock. Anyway I did some quick photoshopping to change the colours and replace the sign and also the 4x4 dish. For me this would be a very much more fitting art deco style for my modular street. But I guess I will just remove the Diner sign when I have it build. Because this is bugging me the most somehow. (plus the 5x5 bow pieces do not excist in some earthy colours...) (on top I don't see a lot of extraordinary new building methods but I am happy to be hopefully surprised when I buy and build it anyway.) Even with only the big Diner sing removed I think it looks better (more like a solid, higher building). But then there needs to be something else there for which I did not came up with an idea yet...
  19. I defenetly want to come and see all of you great people! Buuut I will just be finished with my Master at Uni in April (even managed to sneak in some LEGO in my thesis ) and I have absolutely no idea what I will be doing by then so I guess it will get a little bit more spontaneously for me this time.
  20. I present you my LEGO - Christmas Tree I wanted to build something different and more realistic looking this year. So I experimented with just laying the Lego down flat. LEGO - Christmas Tree by Valentin, auf Flickr As every year this raffle is lots of fun, so my thanks go to CopMike!
  21. Wow Holodoc! This was the perfect review of such an awesome event. I had some good laughs seeing all the fun again. I am already looking forward to next year in Billund
  22. I totally agree. I need a lot of them! Really too bad tho that there seems to be no more of these in the other Ninjago sets...
  23. Hahaha I did not see that one!
  24. Beautiful pictures Holodoc! (I also love the rat spitting sequence ) It was such an amazing event once again! I will post a few pics too now.
