(1)Stein replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Funny, I actually paid €149 for the tower on Monday and also got a second Great Hall for €119, I wander if the mark their prices by region? and agree about the space as well! 🤔 -

Although this Hogward's Express has been around for a while, I still think it's the best mini figure scale version too date! After all the others only came with one carriage, which really never presented a train. This one was finally done right! And can still stay on the shelf a little longer! Also the Hogsmead station fits well with the "Build The Most Detailed Hogwards Castle" -

I wander if the Hogwarts castle, hospital wing be a part of the third building in the castle lineup the library annex? with a price of €99 its going to be a relatively large set! So maybe the library annex will be split into several modules making it a bit easier to buy... -

I posted last year that the Second part of "Lego's Build the most detailed HOGWARTS" Series would be huge with 76454 Hogwarts Castle Main tower. You can actually see the size of the tower in the instructions from 76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons, page 132 and can tell that its going to be massive, The big question is of course how the stairs are going to be done!? Sadly Brickshelf is down and Eurobricks still doesn't have picture uploads available yet!! -

Just asked Frank Stephenson about the lego model and he wasn't very pleased! He didn't like all the gaps in the doors, wich I agree is a little unsightly, But might get it and have him sign the box, since he designed the original car!? By the way if you want a good look at the P1 download the McLarenP1 app. and then look at this image...😉 -

The dorm tower wich also features the grand staircase was usually depicted as a very large tower. -

Here is a picture from the instruction manual from 76426 which doesn't have the outline around 76435 where the complete front castle section can be viewed a little more clearly! Again click to zoom! -

Thats not really true! Lego 76430 Hogwarts Castle Owlery, 76428 Hagrid’s Hut,76424 Flying Ford Anglia and 76440 Triwizard Tournament: The Arrival are all standalone sets, Then there are the new Diagonally system sets with 76422 Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and 76439 Olivanders & Madam Malkin's Robes, which I'm surre Lego will expand on with lots off future sets! With small scenes thrown in-between, probably all leading up to the new movie next year and after the new Netflix series... -

Agree! If you go by the instructions to 76435 page 118 &119, you can see that the next two + expansions are going to be massive in comparison to 76435 Great Hall alone. How long it will take them to get there is in the open but it's sure ambitious in the least! Click Image to zoom! -

I think it's pretty clear from the text and outline from the picture I posted that we are looking at a really huge extension to the Great Hall! The only way that Lego could reduce the price of the middle set is if they split it! but this will not reduce the price of the series in the end. If they keep adding large sets with small sets as add ons, it's not going to be designed for kids but more the teenage-adult collector! If we look how far Wizarding's World has gotten with the original book series we have some of the books in excess of €200 just for an illustrated edition with people gladly paying the price. It's not for everyone but there are still enough people out there willing to pay the price. Room is a different story entirely! 🤔 -

If 76426 Boathouse and 76435 The Great Hall, is the start to the most detailed Hogwarts Castle system yet, I do hope that they somehow also do the grounds, and not just the front castle! If we go from the picture on the box about the extension, the next release will be massive and probable cost +€300 with the third part costing another €200!? -
I think its a cool set! Since I'm a long time Nintendo fan and actually started with the NES it's something I'm sure I will get. But I think I might even mod it to see if I can put one of my NES or Famicom classic system inside the set and make it work... Since I use the Switch Classic NES wireless controller with my Classic NES mini this should make it a breeze!?

Although i'm really happy that TLG has graced us with another great Locomotive, i'm a little sad that its not really a train.... The potential would have been there to make some european freight cars to match. But this is where Lego always falls short!? When I was growing up my favourite train was 7740 where it was also possible to buy several additional railcars to fit the set. As an adult I had High hopes when they released the Santa Fe Super Chief where if you bought two carriages you could have five add on cars! I will definitely purchase the Crok, but its not my favourite and hopefully we don't have to wait for another 7 years to get the next exclusive TRAIN!!!

Wow! That's one exceptional set... the colors used are amazing and the set is very well done! A little on the expensive side but still a set I will get! Nice one TLG!

"What a peace of junk!" But I will be adding it with light-speed too my collection... -
Really like the set! It is after all a train station for a village and not a city, so size wise it great as well! I'm glade to be able to add this too the two holiday trains I have and expand the village accordingly this will make it set #10 plus all the small stuff, I'm already working on a huge layout with will be set up in the attic...

Thanks for the review! The set looks great and I really like the colours which where chosen... I just hope it sells well, so that Lego and the AFOL community votes on more of these types of buildings! All in all can't wait to add this to my collection.
