Why can't they just join one brick on top of another and be good with that? I like dumb bricks! ðĨļ -
Remember that the Star Trek license has already gone to several manufactures previously, Play-mobile as well as Kre-O & Blue Brixx with limited success! I think the current Lego clientel is better suited for more detailed sets, and at the moment Lego probably doesn't want to make sets that where previously released by others! But the Alpha Quadrant is large so they have tons of models they can choose from!

Sure! the thread is not super long and until we know how far Lego is willing to go with the series we can continue on with this thread!

Honestly, I think that Lego needed to test the water on this licence since I'm sure it was really expensive, and is a key asset in Paramounts portfolio, Usually when contracts like these are made there can be a clause for a test run, especially if two large companies come together (Example Nintendo and Lego) If the series turns out to be a flop at the beginning the a company can recline from further licensing involvement! I think Lego and Paramount are now in full negotiations to continue their cooperation together in the Star Trek Franchise! I'm sure we will see more Star Trek sets in the future but not under "Icons" but it's own theme Star Trek!

I said last year that the great hall would be the start of a really huge system, with some people completely disregarding it! I for one think it's great they should give us the best Minifigure version they can! and I don't want them to stop at the the viaduct area either! I want the back portion of the sets as well with the clock and astronomy tower! Guess you only live once so enjoy it! I want it all! ðĪ -

I think since the license has changed from Warner Brother to Amazon (HBO Max), with the new series in the works, Lego is giving us the last opportunity to get a most complete movie version of Hogwarts castle that they can make! If the new series uses a completely different concept for the school then it's pretty well the last in this series that where going to get! And if there is a new castle then in future Lego will be releasing that version! After all this is the 7th version of the Hogwarts Castle and like we know after 7 it's over and done with! So get it while you can! We really don't know what comes next! ðą -
