  1. Master A and B were not awake, so they shouldn't have dealt a free hit to be counterstruck. Only Apprentice B should have been counterstruck last round. Zander? Name was not familiar to Cronk... Did Cronk know Zander?
  2. While his idea of electing someone he didn't know at all was flawed, his conclusions do follow from their original thesis. So you saw no one (besides Zepher ) was going to go after Cam, and you decided to see if you could make Hinck look suspicious enough to throw under the bus? Who's next when that doesn't work?
  3. That's a pretty good piece for guessing the puzzle. I think it's pretty clear that Cam's been hit by a crappy action and several people have mentioned this. Some people are still advocating his lynch because they feel his posts don't have any content to them but no one's said we should lynch him for being silly. Actually, I think there might be room for two pieces in there but Redblade may have had one as well so...
  4. Is that what you were saying? I'll have to come up with something else to say now before someone accuses me of being a summarizer. Really I'm more of a winterizer anyway. Even if Flare was just a scum in the wrong place at the wrong time, it doesn't mean that scum didn't vote for him. Even ignoring the split teams of scum, scum on his own team might have decided just to go along with it.
  5. The catalog doesn't list Dogpound or Fishface as minifigures for some reason. It says the Shellraiser "Includes 4 minifigures and a character!". So TLG doesn't even know what to call them.
  6. If Flare had a piece, even if he were scum, I don't see why he wouldn't share it now. But it will still be interesting to see if he had one. It could be that Flare was just a scum lurker minding his own business when he was thrown into the light of the mayoral vote. Might be why he didn't react well to it.
  7. I've found the whole thing with Flare as something worth exploring as well. It seems odd that he became a strong candidate for mayor by doing almost nothing. A lot of the reasoning given for voting for him didn't seem to amount to anything. I'd like to hear from him a little more to see why he feels people voted for him. For now, I'll Vote: Flare.
  8. What about a top hat? I feel a little cheated. Did you use up all the budget on the Sphinx guy, def? I hereby promise to be the best mayor I can possibly be without a sash.
  9. I've explained why several times. No point in trying to convince you since you've voted already. The reasons the others stated for voting for you were dubious at best. I find that much more suspicious than someone whop has laid out clear reasons in thread for it. And not knowing you could vote for yourself is a prime example of why I'd make a better mayor. Suspect all you want. That's healthy.
  10. Please do not reply like this ever again if you want to stay on this site. If people want to discuss an issue they've found with a set, that's part of what EB is for. Making fun of them for doing so is completely uncalled for.
  11. Now I start rolling shields??? I'm not sure that you took encouraged into the equation for Felton and Alexis, And I thought free hits still took place for counterstrike purposes. Since Alexis is lucky, Alexis should attack Zander twice with the least chance of rolling special. Try using scroll of frailty on Zander first round. Do not worry about putting enemies to sleep this round. Cronk will bash Apprentice A from front row with Zoot's Bane. If A is still around Cronk will try bashing again, otherwise Cronk will heal Felton form front row. Felton bash Magician twice from front row. Gnash bash Magician from front row. McColt, encourage Gnash. Order: Cronk Cronk Felton Felton McColt Gnash Alexis Alexis
  12. I didn't say they'd be in charge of things, I was making an reductio ad absurdum argument. The mayor is a tool for the town, and any tool, no matter how trivial, shouldn't be given to a random person without thought. (Even if there's no real power, I'd get a badge of office or a top hat, right? Right?)
  13. Because I think it's important that a townie that will pay attention and participate gets it and I'm the only one I know for sure qualifies. And the SK is going to do what you say because....? The SK is not going to go for someone that has any attention on them at all. There could be a watcher about. We almost certainly have a protector, unless def is deliberately screwing us over. Figure it out. Trying to set up a future lynch by calling a bunch of random people scum? They just disagreed with your choice for mayor. At least they had a good reason to vote rather than "I don't know Flare at all. Let's put him in charge!". That rule of not talking in private applies to you as well, if it makes you feel any better.
  14. Because no one would notice it. You've admitted that you don't even know who Flare is. How would you know if his behavior changed?
  15. I don't think we should be afraid of the mayor being killed (We'd just elect another). Conversion, yes. But as long as the mayor says enough to be scrutinized, we should be able to tell if they've been converted. That's just one reason I prefer myself. I'll certainly be able to tell if I've been converted. If I'm elected and die tomorrow, that's just the way it goes. I'm willing to play this out. We won't get anywhere if we're too afraid to do anything.
  16. I think the killers could go either way. I don't think either of them could be a vig but we don't have enough information to conclude which is which and I don't see how the information would really help us today anyhow. We'll have to stop them both eventually. Unlike Scouty, I'm not the least bit reassured by Flare's statement. Whether he's a patsy or scum, only time will tell. I still think I'd be a better mayor.
  17. What I'm saying is that it isn't an "effect". The shield doesn't grant the entire party the "protected effect" the next round, it just protects them. The magician only comes into play with attacks and effects and the angel is neither.
  18. Words hurt, you know, shorty. Really, I think you're just jealous of my good looks. Not knowing anyone else's alignment, no, I don't have any better candidates than myself. But I really don't need any. I'm not sitting in a corner saying nothing, but I'm also fairly transparent. How would we ever know if a lurker was converted? Besides, if the position was really all that throw-away, why vote for anyone? If it's important enough to vote for, it should be someone who will pay attention to what's happening and can at least attempt to figure things out on their own. And I pledge to all o my consituents that I will not be swayed by either Hinck or Shadows privately. I've most definitely learned from my mistakes. Mayor: CorneliusMurdock
  19. Zepher, if you're saying that the Guardian Angel is an AoE effect, I'm sorry, but you're wrong. Effects are like Burn, Sleep, and Hex. So if Cronk hits, 39x2x2=156. And Cronk gets two opportunities! C'mon critical hit both times...
  20. Everyone, since angel is here, bash Zander from front row. Alexis, try putting Apprentice C and D to sleep with second halves of turns. McColt, encourage Gnash Cronk will bash Zander from front row with Twin Broadswords, focusing on Zander with both of swords' attacks, twice. Felton will bash Zander from front row, twice. Gansh will bash Zander from front row. Order: Cronk Cronk Felton Felton McColt Gnash Alexis Alexis
  21. I find it odd that someone who has barely spoken is being elected mayor. You guys have found a reason to justify it but I still find it suspicious.
  22. How would the magician affect the angel? I don't see how the gaurdian angel would qualify as an AoE attack... But yes, it's nice to be protected for a round. Maybe we'll even all attack from the front row.
  23. I'm not changing any of your diapers, Cam. That's just gross.
