So sort of like a pass along story... I like it. It would be fun to see what it could become. -

Wizard Duel Round 3 Diana Fabray | 3------Vs.-----Okay Turkoglu | 1 Expelliarmus ~ 0 -------------------- Expelliarmus ~ 0 Crucio ~ 0 ----------------------- Stupefy ~ 0 High ~ 0 ----------------------- High ~ 0 High ~ 0 ------------------- Protego ~ 0 High ~ 1 ----------------------- Low ~ 0 Health: 3 --------------------- Health: 0 The duel continues at Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor with both duelists trying to disarm each other. Then Diana tries Crucio while Okay uses Stupefy, both spells miss and upset tables and chairs throughout the parlor. Another barrage of spells miss and then Diana tries two shots to Okay's head. Turkoglu blocks te first but cannot stop the second. The last thing the Hufflepuff remembers is Fabray standing over him with blender full of milkshake. The cascade of shake pours over his head as the Slytherin laughs evilly. You'll have to avenge your ice cream cone some other time, Oky. Update your profiles. -

She tries to retaliate but Turkoglu holds on and uses a shield charm. Send for round 3 when ready. -

Wizard Duel Round 1 Diana Fabray | 5------Vs.-----Okay Turkoglu | 5 Crucio ~ 1 -------------------- Low ~ 0 Expelliarmus ~ 0 ----------------------- Stupefy ~ 0 Low ~ 1 ----------------------- Mid ~ 0 Mid ~ 1 ------------------- High ~ 0 High ~ 0 ----------------------- Expelliarmus ~ 0 Health: 5 --------------------- Health: 2 Okay Turkoglu busts through the swinging doors of Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour and walks slowly up behind a young woman seated at the counter. "You owe me a double scoop cone, Fabray," he says to her darkly. "I don't give, Hupplepuff," she replies without turning around. "I take!" She turns and casts crucio on Okay and he writhes on the floor as the other customers clear out of the establishment. He gets to his feet but Fabray disarms him. She laughs cruelly as she levitates two large conatiners of Ice cream at his head. Both find their target and Turkoglu slumps to the ground. He regains his footing once again and disarms his opponent. Send for round 2 when ready. -

"Push me you will, yes, hmmm?"
CorneliusMurdock replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in Watto's Junkyard
I appreciate your insight, my Hufflepuff buddy. My original plan when I came up with the idea was to have Dooku push the cart. If I tried to downscale now, though, I would have to redesign everything else too( except for the aisle display which I think is closer to minifig scale). The freezers for example look pretty comical with a minifig beside them. And if a minifig were to try to get something out of them, they could end up like that poor half a skater from the Winter village bakery. Even if I had the maraca I probably wouldn't use it, because my Yoda is less an infant and more of the eccentric sage from the Empire Strikes Back (The little tug of war with R2 is one of my favorite parts of the movie). I can so picture that Yoda doing something like this. And, yes, Prateek I know about the force push. But what fun would that be? -

Wizard Duel Round 3 Ollivander Dippet | 5------Vs.-----Carlos Peerce | 2 Expelliarmus ~ 0 -------------------- Expelliarmus ~ 0 Low ~ 0 ----------------------- High ~ 1 High ~ 0 ----------------------- Mid ~ 1 Mid ~ 1 ------------------- Silencio ~ 0 Expecto Patronum ~ 0 ----------------------- Crucio ~ 0 Health: 3 --------------------- Health: 1 Both duelists try to disarm their opponents but the spells cancel each other. Carlos then manages to catch his Ollivander off guard twice in a row. The Slytherin then tries to silence the Gryfindor but Dippet casts a spell first and Peerce skids across the ground. Enraged, Carlos tries Crucio one last time but Ollivander's labrador patronus blocks it easily. Knowing that his luck has turned, Carlos flees down the street, avoiding capture. It had to happen some time, CMP. Congrats, CF. Update your profiles accordingly. -

MOC: Adventurer's Cottage
CorneliusMurdock replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
He's out adventuring, of course. I was going to put someone in it but I liked the look of it without him. -
Instead of hinging like the original set the roof lifts off of mine. Because of this, the roof can overhang and the chimney can protrude. It also allows for a more connected floor plan. This simple design could easily be modified in different widths and lengths, and made with a variety of colors to produce an entire small village. I'd love to be able to build a few and pack them around the MMV and the rumored windmill set. Exterior front Exterior back Interior with front wall and roof removed. I copied the design of the bed directly from the MMV. Interior from above Feel free to use this design to fill out your own villages. All I ask is that you let me know you have done so and maybe post pictures of your village to share. (I don't have the room or money for a permanent village of my own right now so it would be cool to see it in the context of a larger display.) I'm attaching the LDD file (It does not have the interior) for your convenience and perusal. Adventurer\'s Cottage.lxf.zip P.S. The helmet on the little stand is the Brickforge Great Helm in Dark Gray. Even though I like the new ones by Lego better when worn by minifigs because you can see the eyes better, this one still looks better as a display because the slits are smaller and it is more detailed.

Wizard Duel Round 2 Ollivander Dippet | 5------Vs.-----Carlos Peerce | 3 High ~ 1 -------------------- Low ~ 0 Protego ~ 0 ----------------------- Mid ~ 0 Expelliarmus ~ 0 ----------------------- Crucio ~ 0 Low ~ 0 ------------------- Expelliarmus ~ 0 Expecto Patronum ~ 0 ----------------------- High ~ 0 Health: 5 --------------------- Health: 2 Ollivander continues the attack with a high spell that Carlos fails to block. Peerce fights back with a spell of his own but Dippet casts a shield charm in time. The Slytherin then starts to cast the cruciatus curse but the Gryffindor disarms him before he can finish. Carlos finds his wand once again and disarms Ollivander. Carlos casts another spell his way but Ollivander finds his wand and his Labrador patronus snaps at the spell with sharp teeth before fading away. Send for round 3 when ready. CF you should add your patronus form to your profile when this is over as a reference for future adjudicators. -

Wizard Duel Round 1 Ollivander Dippet | 5------Vs.-----Carlos Peerce | 5 Low ~ 0 -------------------- Protego ~ 0 Expecto Patronum ~ 0 ----------------------- Crucio ~ 0 High ~ 1 ----------------------- Low ~ 0 Expelliarmus ~ 0 ------------------- Expelliarmus ~ 0 Mid ~ 1 ----------------------- High ~ 0 Health: 5 --------------------- Health: 3 The Gryffindor, Ollivander Dippet, is the newest target of the Slytherin terror that is Carlos Peerce. Carlos tracks him down in Hogsmeade and tries to ambush him, but the Gryffindor has heard his approach and tries a preemptive strike. Carlos shields himself from the spell and casts Crucio on his opponent but it is blocked by Dippet's patronus.( Choose the form of your patronus and I'll put in next round. I be nice and not choose for you.) Ollivander then gets a high spell through Carlos' defenses. The Slytherin flies across the street and upsets a market stall. He rises from the pile of apples and tries to disarm Dippet but Ollivander tries the same thing and nothing happens. Ollivander pushes his advantage and gets another spell to hit Carlos. The apples around him turn to applesauce and he falls face first in it. Send for round 2 when ready. -
Halloween Mini-Month Avatar Contest! VOTE NOW!
CorneliusMurdock replied to Shadows's topic in General LEGO Discussion
These were all great avatars in the spirit of the holiday. I probably should've tried my hand at it... My votes: 1 Randall- such a cool and intricate pumpkin 2 KielDaMan- Maybe its because I see yours so often but the eye thing is very creepy. 3 Fugazi- Yours freaks me out every time I see it. (might have contributed to me trying to kill you in Shadows' game.) -

DS sent. Thanks for Adj., CF. I know it can seem overwhelming at times. I actually took an unannounced break from doing them this weekend. It would be nice if more duelers took a more active role in it. Without adjudicators this game would just die out. That being said, I am available to adj. duels tonight. Just send the DSs if you find an opponent. -
Harry Potter Minifigures by tin7

 I always enjoy seeing your creations. I just thought of a question, though. Do you keep every minifig you make or do you reuse the parts to make new ones? If you keep them, it would be cool to see if or how you display them. -

How many kills could you do a night? Or was my targeting for something else? I did try to kill you but I could have been blocked or spiked. -

Village of the Bloody Damned: Conclusion!
CorneliusMurdock replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
But who will look after the books?!! Great game, Shadows! Thanks for hosting it. I can't wait till I can play another. I just want to know who killed me. *shakes fist* This last night I targeted Kevin Ozempk to die and blocked John Hex. I thought the last one was one of you. Of course it didn't matter too much to me since I was neutral. I think that fit my character pretty well. -
What does the alarm sound like? Annoying, too loud, not loud enough? Is it just beeping or music? Looks awesome btw. If I got one, though, it would have to be my main alarm clock and functionality is important.

Village of the Bloody Damned: Day 3 Cycle

I do not babble, sir. Up until now I had thought you a sensible fellow. In fact in reading through the texts, you were the first fellow survivor I had eliminated as a suspect. I was just mentioning in my previous post that I have to rely on the texts to help me because I was not gifted with the powers of Holmes. But I wish you no ill will. I agree with you that Mr. Hex has acted suspiciously in previous days and that is why he is at the top of my list. Now, Shhhhh!
