My expelliarmus should actually do a damage as well against protego. Sending for round 2 now. -

I'm always impressed by people who can accurately draw on a minifig. I can barely draw on a piece of paper let alone something as small as minifig parts. Or is that paint? Either way veery well done. -

If you're in need of fresh substitutes, I'm sure there are plenty watching this very entertaining game who would volunteer if asked... -

CMP, do you want to duel me? -
Just exquisite. It's one of those MOCs that makes you do a double take to realize it is indeed made out of Lego.

Perhaps you'd like to take on Flashburn? I have to warn you though that I'm due for a win because my wins and losses tend to stay even. -
Prince of Persia sets on clearance at Wal-Mart
CorneliusMurdock replied to B.C.'s topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I got my Battle of Alamut at Walmart this weekend for $49.99! They had all of the other sets from POP significantly discounted as well, but my wife only lets me get away with so much. -
I can't say I agree with all of the decisions so far either. I, for example, don't like the big wall pieces (*coughADHOcough*) . I still can't wait to see the end result. I am wondering how tall this thing is gonna be since we're already almost to the third floor and we're not even halfway down the list of builders. It probably is for the best to stick with the rules all the way through the first time. We're also learning so much about what this format of community building can do.

Great looking display. I would love to see more pictures, especially of the inside. -

I've tried for a couple of days to get the cart smaller but just can't seem to do it with the parts I have.(I don't have that many droid arms.) I don't think it looks that bad as is, you'll just have to imagine that Yoda went shopping late at night when there would be fewer shoppers to get in the way of his fun. I did try the cart in white since I just got some of the parts I used before in that color but it blends in too much with the freezers. -

It's funny that you think KDM and I have some sort of authority in this thread. However, I do believe the rules state: "If both characters are tied on health at the end of the 3rd round, a sudden death round is played. The first character to be dealt damage loses the duel." In this case, I think Carlos wins. Sorry, Professor, but it was an epic battle. -
Great in so many ways. The concept, minifig posing, and vignette itself are all excellent.

Wizard Duel Round 3 Johann Peterschmut | 3------Vs.-----Ollivander Dippet | 1 Low ~ 0 -------------------- Expecto Patronum ~ 0 Crucio ~ 1 ----------------------- Low ~ 0 Protego ~ 0 ----------------------- High ~ 0 Mid ~ 0 ------------------- Expelliarmus ~ 0 Low ~ 1 ----------------------- Mid ~ 0 Health: 3 --------------------- Health: 0 At the start of the third round, Ollivander's labrador patronus blocks a low spell from Johann. Unfazed by the big furry thing, Peterschmut uses the cruciatus curse, sending the Gryffindor into intense pain and ending the duel in his favor. The watching students clap politely as Dippet is carted off to the infirmary. Update your profiles accordingly. -
Went to Walmart today and picked up Battle of Alamut for $49.99 on clearance. It was not in the toy section, which was weird. If you want POP, now is the time to buy ( or soon if you think they'll be even cheaper).

Frustrated, he cast crucio and his opponent convulses in pain. Dippet blocks the next spell and then hits the Slytherin with a spell of his own. The Gryffindor summons his patronus once again only to have it face a shield charm. Send for round 3 when ready. -
I don't have a brickshelf account yet, ADHO so here's the file. lddrcb02.lxf.zip I'd also like to say that maybe we should add a rule that says we can edit some things but give a limit of say 5 pieces that we can change (not delete). MAybe you can only move or change their color. This is so that if one of us encounters something that may be difficult to work around, it can be slightly altered. For example, I think steps inside the building waste space but could see no other way to come down from the door. What I wanted to do was bring the floor up to meet the door frame but that would leave the windows sunken into the floor. I went halfway and moved the floor one plate height. I wish I could have moved the windows by two plate heights to make it so they can be more level with a tiled floor. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Can't wait to see what this turns into.
