I agree that the Jordans aren't exactly cleared but I'm fine with all of you investigating my place. I've got nothin' to hide.
-
Since you're basically "attacking" your ally with the staff to use it, I would assume it cannot be done outside of battle. I may be wrong, though.

I think for most it's the time of year. After this weekend, the next time I'll be home for a weekend will be mid-December. And after that, busy again. I hope you guys don't get discouraged.

Cronk feel refreshed now. Cronk go look at new quests. Hmm. Cronk want help mage's Gram-Gram. Cronk sign up for Quest 14. Cronk also think Cronk would enjoy bashing pirates. Cronk also sign up for Quest 15.

First Cronk goes to see new merchant. Hello, Elphaba! Cronk like to sell 1 bone and buy Healing Staff. Cronk knows Cronk not able to use staff now, but Cronk like idea of bashing friends to heal them. Bashing good for everyone! Besides, Cronk think Cronk may be able use staff in future. Cronk pay 45 gold, 50 for staff minus 5 for bone. Cronk thanks Elphaba for lovely staff and hopes merchant make good sales. Next Cronk visit Anwyl. Cronk ask Anwyl to switch Diamond from Sword of Bashing Evil to Cronk's new sword, Zoot's Bane. Cronk believes Cronk owes Anwyl 100 gold for this service. Cronk thanks Anwyl for his time. Cronk thinks Anwyl's craftmanship best Cronk's ever seen and is proud to have Swords worked on by blacksmith. This leave Cronk with 111 gold. Cronk now renames Sword of Bashing Evil to simply Sword of Bashing. Cronk now post notice that Cronk will sell Sword of Bashing (WP:5) to any fellow adventurer willing to pay Cronk 50 gold. Now Cronk go take nap.

Cronk thinks this has been lovely, but Cronk is getting tired. Cronk will go to marketplace and then go sleep at inn.

Sandy, you said the healing staff is treated like an attack on an ally, right? What happens if damage or special damage is rolled? Does the ally attack the one wielding the staff?

Heroica RPG - Quest Masters' Lounge
CorneliusMurdock replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
When I stayed behind, Zepher started a PM thread for it. He told me I wasn't allowed to tell the others. I was the reason the hallway count kept jumping up, the count was cumulative with both parties and I had to move around some. This was also where Zepher had me make up a message for Cronk to send to the rest of the party as an anagram. -
How about instead of locking it, we redirect the discussion? Debating whether or not it's going to happen is going nowhere but we could still discuss what we'd like to see in this line if it were to come to fruition. Personally, I'd love to see what they could do with a Rivendell set. The unique elven architecture would be awesome. I'd also love to see a set with the Bilbo's troll encounter.

Shh! Now you've spoiled it.

I don't think the potions should be arbitrary like that, Waterbrick Down. It's not like the contents of the potion change themselves from quest to quest. They either should or shouldn't damage Orcs. I also think it's up to you or Sandy to make the final ruling. Not that it really matters to me. I don't plan on seeking your potions out for trades. I'm hoping Cronk makes Paladin soon. I agree that quests that specify members have to be a certain race or not a certain race could be fun. It could be a way to develop the backstory of certain races within the RPG.

Cronk does not know where cookies come from. They were in Cronk's pocket when Cronk find Cronk's self in field with all of Cronk's friends. Cronk does not know what cookies are but Cronk does advise caution. Cronk does think that it would be mean if cookies weren't a positive thing.
-
Cronk think friend Thothwick do fine considering circumstances. Here Cronk think Thothwick deserve one of these cookies found in Cronk's pocket. Friend Hybros also get one cookie. Last one is for Friend Daggerfall whenever Daggerfall shows up.

Cronk was given chance to save Cronk, Felton, Hans and Mr. Cleric. Cronk realized that there was another way out of dungeon. Cronk remember elevators. Then Cronk find two problems. 1 Elevator only could be operated from dungeon, so one friends may have had to stay behind to get rest of friends out and 2 Mr. Cleric's barrier was still up. Cronk was asked to give message to friends by Wren. Cronk kept message short. Cronk knew shorter message be easier figure out. Plus it help Cronk talk like Cronk. Lever friends pulled lowered cleric's barrier. Cronk was running out time so Cronk could not wait for barrier to fall. Mr. Cleric agree to meet rest of friends in cavern room with elevators when barrier fall. Cronk took other two friends and went back to room with cells where captured friends were found. Cronk open one more cell and find Guard Lucas. Lucas agreed to operate elevator if Cronk freed Lucas. Then Cronk's party went back to elevators and found Cleric waiting. Party went up to arena floor and found crazy Lady Wren. Lady monologued for a bit, (killed Lucas below with magic) and release a Chaos Beast. Then Wren transported away (Cronk think Lady afraid be bashed by Cronk). Cronk, Felton, and Hans try bashing beast and cleric not able to help. Beast got lucky and Cronk fell. Felton and Hans made good use of Bombs beast dropped and were able finish fight on own. When Cronk came to, Mr. Cleric channeled experience into Cronk and friends help carry Cronk out. Then Cronk found Cronk's self in field with all of original party. Cronk not know what happened to other friends but Cronk hope friends are well.

Heroica RPG - Quest Masters' Lounge

Just a few comments, Zepher. I really enjoyed the quest. It was fun to roleplay the trapped aspect of it and see what all the characters would do in that situation. Your characters were great and I look forward to seeing Wren in a future quest (So Cronk can bash her. ) I'm really glad you gave me the private side quest after I was left behind. It was fun, though I wish I could've had another PC there to talk things through with. Felton and Hans were good fighters but not great conversationalists. I do wish there would have been more closure for the NPCs with us. Where'd they go? I had a lot of trouble getting Mr. Cleric out of there, and I don't even know where he went (or even what his name was). Was it just me or was my boss fight harder than theirs? My chaos beast hit the party for 5 with his special instead of Draco's 1. Yes, it's health was a lot lower but if I hadn't gotten lucky that last round, Felton and Hans could have both been taken out in one fell swoop with that special. It did turn out okay in the end, though, and I'm glad to have fought it. It was an epic battle that I'm not likely to forget. Only other thing is there could have been more loot to find as we were wandering around that dungeon. -
Cronk walks into the hall and collapses in a chair. Cronk sooo tired. And sore. Cronk really sore. Cronk is glad to have survived and help destroy nasty arena. But Cronk could use vacation. Pretty Orc Lady! Cronk would like some buttermilk please while Cronk waits for Cronk's friends.

It looks like a great game but I'm going to be away a few weekends in November and December so it looks like I'm going to sit this one out. I'm looking forward to following along from the sidelines and I hope all the players enjoy playing.

A few minutes ago I might have argued with that statement. Bash Draco good, Friends of Cronk!

The current Lego Club Magazine came with a free DVD. It's entitled "Lego Club DVD". (Not tremendously awe-inspring but fitting.) I fully expected just a couple of shorts from the website but I popped it in the DVD player and started to watch it with my daughter. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of content. I know it's probably all stuff you can watch for free on the club website but you don't have to wait for downloads and it's larger on the TV screen than it would be on my computer. Plus it was free. It has seven sections (and here are my thoughts on them): 1. Hero Factory (Haven't watched this one yet. Not terribly interested.) 2. Lego City (Some police themed shorts. Funny, I like the police officer who never puts down his coffee mug.) 3. Cars 2 (My daughter picked this one first. It has the lego-fied trailer for the movie, a short brickflick, and a goofy series of videos that provide an inside tour of the design of Lego McQueen and Mater. It's fun.) 4. Nijago (Wasn't interested in this either, really. I may actually get around to it eventually once my daughter tires of some of the other content.) 5. Heroica Adventures (Basically the full comic that came with each game, slightly animated and put all together. Didn't hold my daughter's attention (she's 3) but I liked it. Might've been better if they'd actually voiced it instead of making you read all the speech bubbles.) 6. Lego Club TV (Some Max shorts and other various "Club" labelled content) 7. Best of Lego Shorts (A bunch of things that didn't fit in the other categories. My daughter's favorites of these was the brickflick of Spongebob singing "Don't be a jerk, It's Christmas" (much to my wife's chagrin) and a couple of Alien Conquest shorts. Also included was an in-depth tour of Legoland Florida. Pretty neat and makes me hope to take the kids some day.) I didn't think it was bad at all. Especially for free.

I'd like to check under any bath mats or carpet.

I'll look under the bed. With the amount of deadly weapons already found in this house, I'm expecting to find a chainsaw or machine gun somewhere under there.

Prison Riot! The Conclusion
CorneliusMurdock replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Speaking as one who's team was on the wrong end of the bloodbath that night, it was a little annoying (Especially since Draggy had the only kill that wasn't added). I do completely understand why the kills had to be added back in. The game probably would've gone on for another month at least. As for meal choice order, Zepher got the short end several days. He still managed to get useful things those days, so it wasn't as big a deal as it could have been, I think. I will second Cam's sentiments, though. "Wrist's the pint of having meals?" -

Bah. An ancient relic backed by more old men with faded printing. Bah, I say! -

Ha! Great game, Hinck. This was a real challenge for all of us. I'd like to thank Draggy, Fangy, and Zepher for being a great team to play with. We almost had it. Cuxun gets the last laugh, however. He gets to live on the moon with his moon maiden Elles. What more could a crystal man ask for? -

C'mon, grandpa. You haven't been anywhere near a king in years. Me, I'm in with the Crownies and the Lions. The Falcons are even thinking of switching sides. Go live out your miserable existence in a retirement village somewhere and let the colors still being produced get some peace.
