  1. Nice! A bit cold for Santa showering outside
  2. I had the same feeling whenever I saw someones Holiday Train. Because a new one is too expensive I bought all the pieces on Bricklink. I think in total it cost me around 120 euro (this is with shipping costs). Everything is exactly as the real one (including the minifigures) so I think that is a fair price. Maybe you could do the same .
  3. Sorry! I downsized everything. I hope it's ok now. Thanks for all the comments! The train station is the MOC from Brick City Depot. Unfortunately it's not a creation from me . Next year there will be lights in the houses and white base plates to finish the whole thing!
  4. Today I build my Christmas Village under the tree and I wanted to show the results . The Village contains the three Winter Village sets, One MOC from Brick City Depot, the Holiday Train, the City Advent Calendars form 2009 en 2010 and some Lego Minifigures Series. Enjoy and Happy Christmas to everyone in advance! ps. Find the two Santa Claus! Overlay of the village. The artists playing my favorite song Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. The Toy Shop owner making a snowman, some extra toys for sale and a boy fighting the men in suits! Worker cleaning up the mess the children make so the Girl didn't wanted to make a snowy mess and throws a cat instead! The postmen are collecting all the presents to get them to the right place in time. Two strong guys but the girl needs to do all the hard work... The very busy frozen pond with stands for skates and hot coco. The stand for Christmas trees and wood for the fireplace. Hold on honey, men at work. Even the Holiday Train is late. But it's Christmas time so nobody complains! Our national pride Nicolien Sauerbreij in action. Happy Christmas Everyone!
  5. I just saw this on the Lego shop website and in the Netherlands this set is 70 euro instead of 60 euro like in Germany. I think I'm still buying this but I think 70 euro is a bit to much for this set.
  6. I think the cashregister is behind the wall. You can deliver your mail right there. You can also see a pricelist hanging on the wall.
  7. I just found about this thread and I'm stunned. I's not only a big landscape but the detail you put in every single aspect of the landscape is stunning. It's..... I really don't know what to say. It's not just beautiful or something like that. As soon as I know a word to describe this I will. But for now I will just enjoy your posts.
  8. I think the logo is an updated version of this logo (without the letter): So it looks like it's a horn. I think the inside of the gazebo is just empty. That way you could fit the musicians in the gazebo and put the singers of the toy shop in front of the gazebo. I just saw that the post office minifigure has skies on and that the woman is also from the post office. Didn't noticed that before.
  9. Alright! Have to build the Toy Shop and Bakery again sometime. Apparently I don't remember these sets very good
  10. The woman who post the letter has white hands. Is she the first minifigure in the winter village theme with gloves?
  11. How do you know that the next winter village will be a post office? Can you provide me link the link with this information. Thanks!
  12. As I said before. I'm Dutch so the translation is a bit easier for me and the shop is talking about a 'herdershond'. In The Netherlands 'german shepherd' are normally called like this. A border collie is a kind of shepherd as well but it looks like the dog will be a normal 'german shepherd' like almost any other dog in Lego.
  13. I'm from The Netherlands so I will translate it a bit better: This new modular home, released in 2011, actually consists of two modular homes. The first is a house that is currently painted by the workman. The second is a petshop. The set has again several minifigures, a green bike, various animals including a parrot, a shepherd and a brown cat!
  14. WOW this is great! It's is so big and there is so much detail. I love the carts at the kiosk and James Bond great job!
  15. The calendar is a bit a let down for me too. I was hoping for another Christmas theme that goes well with the toy shop and village bakery. Only the fisherman is great but I won't buy the whole calendar just for him...
  16. I'm also Dutch (Ik kom uit Den Haag) and wanted to buy the Fire Brigade and looked for internet shops that sell them and found one shop where they have 5 Green Grocer's left for 170 euro with free shipping. I've just send them an email to make sure they still have them. I think I will buy the Green Grocer and hope to save some money for the Fire Brigade. Sorry I didn't know there was a general topic about this. Will look better next time!
  17. Thank you both for answering so quickly. I know the Green Grocer will be more expensive in a short time but I think I will only buy one of these sets (I haven't got the money to collect them all) so rising prices are not that of an issue. I'm leaning towards the Green Grocer because I thought I could make some interior myself (maybe copying it from the Fire Brigade) to make the interior as good as the Fire Brigade.
  18. I have a very hard time trying to decide wheter to buy the Green Grocer or the Fire Brigade. I like them both very much but I thought maybe some of you have both sets and can tell me which they like better and why. This will be my first (and for now only) modular building. I know the Fire Brigade has an better (more) interior but the outside of the Green Grocer looks more 'alive'. I hope you guys can help me with some extra information! btw the price isn't an issue because the Fire Brigade is 157 euro and the Green Grocer is 170 euro.
  19. This is huge! This is already looking great. Good job so far. Can't wait to find out if the stormies are good in tennis and soccer
  20. Alright Thanks for the info. I'll just have to wait for the toy fair. Only problem is that I can't... Need. This. Millennium falcon. Now!
  21. I always listen to him otherwise I will be punished I just wondered where this information comes from because I never heard anyone talked about the amount of pieces in these sets. If this is true (and it must be because it's in the first post) this version will contain 243 more pieces than the 4504 version. I think this is a big difference so I'm wondering what Lego has improved. Or are the 243 pieces mainly greebles and is the ship basically the same. But I think we get answers when the Toy Fair arrives in February...
  22. The first post says that the new millennium falcon will contain 1238 pieces. Does someone knows where this information comes from? I missed out on all the previous versions so I'm very interested in this one.

  24. just put some tape over the button and it will stay one. If you make the tape longer than the brick you can just switch it off by pulling the tape away from the button.
  25. I just feel like a complete idiot. I think I'm in the correct section of this forum but I just can't find it.
