Hello everybody I am from Canada and am 11 years old. I like Pirates and Castle the most

-
New Zealand? Nope I live in a small town in Canada Would you mind sailing the Grandeur here?
-
I have been inspired by many things, but what inspired me the most was Master and Commander: the far side of the world which i am watching right now for the 50th time.

Computer Game - Napoleon: Total War
Captainkiwi replied to Sir Wellington's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I got this game one month ago and im hooked! A great buy even if you don't like strategy games. -
I think it's quite fun for a strategy game. It takes some time to get used to it though. Thanks for deeplinking my pictures!!!
-
You can see the finished product now. It is on my post "Le Vigilant" in the pirate MOC section.
-
I started this 2 days after I took apart my first ship, The HMS Royale. I used some of the same features, but Incorperated some new things like the slanted stern, new sail arrengement, and another mast. The name "Vigilant" is a french word meaning "A watchful eye" I thought it was a nice name for a Privateer. Deeplinking didn't work for me, so I just put the links here. Enjoy! overview: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4405466 stern: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4405468 figurehead, a one eyed bull (relates to the name) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4405470 broadside: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4405470 deck: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4405472 side shot: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4405475 Another shot of the deck: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4405477 side of the stern: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4405482 The captain in his cabin: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4405485 Some goods : http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4405487 I hope you enjoyed this one. I'll probably keep it alive for a bit longer.

Nice brig. I really like color scheme of the IFS
-
Wow! It is going along very smoothly. You put some good techinques into it and I love the Darwin and Fitzroy figures.
-
All of this sounds great, but where are the rest of the pictures?

A WIP American Schooner of the line*odd, I know* the U.S.S Charger
Captainkiwi replied to Fires-storm's topic in Pirate MOCs
I think you've pulled this off well so far; especially for such a unique ship. But... i think that you should get rid of chewy..... -
This is a hard one, but my vote goes to Z Cerberus' Barrister's Office.
-
Sucess!!! after two hours of building my brains out I found a good technique to make a nice slanted stern. It blends nicely with the rest of the ship, and it looks quite a fair but like the HMS Surpise. I will get some pics on my brickshelf and post a WIP picture in the MOC category. Thank all of you for the help!!!
-
Thanks! I will look at the index, and If i dont find any ideas I will ask Admiral Croissant for more pics of Le Vesta's stern. But.... I can't really use The build a frigate because I don't have all the parts, and Can't order off the internet because my dad says so
-
That is what i want my stern to look like, but it does not show what hinges he used so slant the windows. The rest gave me a good idea and im going to get to work
-
Yes, that does very well help. My main idea is a frigate stern that is slanted at the back. I want to use 5 windows, 3 at the back and 1 on each side. My overall goal is to make the stern look like the HMS Surprise. I have been working on if for quite some time, but I just can't put my finger on it....
-
Now that I am half way done my second ship I realized that I am not the best stern builder. On my last ship, my stern was more of a boxy shape than slanted and beautiful. I am hoping for people to post their tips or pictures of sterns so I could build off some ideas to make a better one. Hopefully this is where i post this...

What i meant by getting organized was making my brickshelf viewable, but know I know that it's not a big problem thanks to you!
-
Thank you for realizing that! I just made it today and I do not yet know that much about the site. I will go to the help menu and try to get things organized
-
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=425252 This is my brickshelf page which includes the new pics. I am also now working on an english frigate with an improved broadside.
-
This is truly a perfect frigate. I love the positioning of the masts and the perfectly symetrical headrails. Also, many frigates I have seen before don't have that certain "frigate" shape, but you did it perfectly. Keep making ships!!!
-
Looks pretty good. I like the fact that there are some good details all around and they are REDCOATS!!!!
