Hello Olaf I'm glad that you like my 1:20 scaled-down version of #8110 that fits the scale of the #8284 Technic Tractor. Right, there are no instructions for any of my MOCs available, however, by scrutinizing the pictures you should be able to build your own copy, if you like. Hint: My scale 1:20 UniMOC and the original #8110 shares two original parts - the pivot frame and the counterpart. I like this model a lot too, as it would match my scaled-down 8466, and because the scale match the scale of my Technic tractors perfectly And LEGO, those #44 Connectors in the windscreen frame need to be Black - please!!! Looks like a piston engine to me. Perhaps a V4 engine ?

One of the discontinued parts I would really like to see return is the 68.8 mm Model Team Wheel: Wheel #32004a (or #32004b) in Light Bluish Gray. However, this wheel needs improvement since the hub (the axle hole) tends to crack. A longer and stronger hub like the hub on #32020 would help. Tire #32003 (that fits the #32004a and #32004b wheel). This tire was a bit soft and needs improvement. Increasing the wall thickness and/or using harder rubber would help. I need this wheel rather badly for 1:20 scale trucks like my Scania R480.

Well, a way to overcome the eternal and innate problem about LEGO Trial Trucks - the steering - is to simply omit steering. Thumbs up to Coney/Contech7 for making something "different"

Yes, Denmark is desert all over Anyways, compared to the proportions of the Swedish forests, the forests of Denmark are of course somehow scaled down (more info on: wikipedia (in Danish, though)). And we do in fact manufacture one of the coolest piece of forestry machinery on the market - the Silvatec Sleipner 8-wheeler. You can check it out on Silvatec.dk. An official LEGO Technic model of the Silvatec Sleipner 8-wheeler would be just great!

Yes, Tobbe. You couldn't help thinking otherwise, could you ?. If you refer to your own listing above (with my comments) 4 years passed by with Pneumatics out of bounds - the longest period of no Pneumatics since today's Pneumatics were launced. And in the meantime it seemed like LEGO was so very keen on proving that LA's and PF's could do the job that Pneumatics used to do in the more complex kind of sets. And the first revival of Pneumatics after this 4-year period of (LEGO's own) LA/PF-euphoria was in a mid range set only, that could suggest that it was launched only in order to get rid of the remaining Pneumatic parts in stock. But now, 5 years later, LEGO has proved otherwise by launching the top-of-the-line and in some respects State of the Art #8110 Unimog (that very well might end on top of my own list of favorite Technic sets of all times!), where Pneumatics play a main role. You see, that's the big news - on top of the Unimog being "big news" in its own right, of course.

Looking more like 81.6 mm to me, and the rim/wheel looks as if it's a narrow version of the #44772-wheel. But let's wait and see what LEGO is coming up with. Considering the huge loads of new parts launched every year for LEGO System compared with what LEGO Technic gets really should give you an idea of why every single new part for LEGO Technic is so appreciated by Technic fans. To me it looks like a pile of studded parts fitted in rather neatly. Indeed. In case the retail price exceeds the one of #8043 it might be due to the Pneumatic parts - production costs are somewhat higher than those of the crappy LA's. Perhaps LEGO has learned a lesson regarding the limits of the LA's ?. As far as I remember there has never been any such issues with any Pneumatic set as those with the #8043 set. In real life LEGO Pneumatics are really tough and can hardly be overloaded (if built in correctly) - if the load is too heavy they simply won't move. Heavy loads an LA's simply wears them (and the built-in clutch) out.

Yeah, for those being retrospective, everything was better back in the good old days - that was real LEGO! And that is what this guy thinks too: Traumatic Events in the Life of a Lego Fan Oh no, innovation, oh no, new ways of doing things. Just gimme that good old wooden stuff, or just the good old 2 x 4 bricks made of CA. No, it's a great new ALOF word! (Adult Lack Of Fantasy - or should we say Imagination, since fantasy is not this absent in other adult contexts..). As we grow older some people suffers more and more from functional fixedness and a grumpy kind of "retrospectivness". Just look at (and learn by) how children put LEGO together, sometimes it is upside down and in various "impossible" ways. Some adult builders has preserved that functional unfixedness throughout their adulthood - like Michael Jasper or MisaQa among many others - and ask yourself whether this is the core of the LEGO spirit or whether it is being grumpy and retrospective This particular item is not a one-hit-wonder. Please reconsider once again how you would achieve what this thing is doing by using any existing parts. And no, don't start by searcing your collection for 2 x 4 bricks. We really should welcome any new Technic piece, since each of them offers new building possibilities. The Technic theme has never before been endowed with so many new and very useful parts. Appreciate every single one of them - and start using them and use your imagination. Please!

I fully agree that an Orange Supercar would be great! Perhaps a 1:10 Orange Lambo - but IMHO almost anything goes. So, come on LEGO - surprise us!

I really like seeing liftarms being used in MOC's - and the overall looks of this one is spot on But boy, it looks heavy. What's the weight of this wonder ? Well, front suspension is always an issue on TT's - so how did you solve it ?

I could tell by the very first glance that the gear rack misaligns badly. And heavy duty ? A pendular and simple steering like the one on the #8284 Technic Tractor can definitely stand the test - and if it is too wide, then use 11L liftarms in stead of the original 13L liftarms. And for further reinforcement you can secure the upper liftarm furher. I could post some pictures of how I did it on my Technic Tractors, in case you a little need help in this matter

Really? Looks like they've used pictures from the BrickLink Catalog. Furthermore, it claims that the 41 mm Znap Wheel is a Hard-Plastic Wheels - no tires used. Well, the bb180-Tire fits neatly on that rim, as you can see here: Great site anyhow
