  1. class ! great effort. Very good looking wolf. Love the concept. Well done.
  2. Deer (doe and stag) Wild Boar Sheep (white, black and brown - though Brickforge's ones are fab !) Wolf Donkey also Falcon (distinct from grey "parrot" shape) / bird with open wings (taking off / alighting) am flabberghasted TLG haven't pursued an "African wild game" series - lions, elephants, giraffe, zebra, antelopes, rhinos, hippos, vultures etc, and although not African, where have tigers been ?!) also, I think TLG have missed a trick with fantasy / legend animals - unicorn, pegasus, centaursv(again, well done Brickforge), etc ... (though they have offered minotaurs in the CMFS 6) I agree that recent cows, goats, chickens and bears have been real results - well done TLG
  3. love the portcullis love the plan for 20 no. 48x48 size - awesome, keep the pics coming ! (how many bricks ?!)
  4. All of the above Wood elves Rohan peasants loved the suggestion of Prince Imrahil (though as not in the film, unlikely) - especially his swan helm ! Gondor soldiers - White Tree Guards outfits !
  5. Inspired, well MOC'd. How about "7 wonders of the Ancient World" next ?! :)
  6. Ash, and Andy-C - thanks for your responses. Guess that makes sense. I'll calm down and await our turn in the UK for LotR to be released ... all good things come to those who wait, patience is a virtue, etc :)
  7. forgive me if this is a slight diversion, but not just pricing differences (which the reason for I get) but why are release dates different ? Lord of the Rings and Monster Fighters are already on sale in the US, but not in the UK (can't comment on Europe, or rest of world) - bt "why" ? a couple of years ago TLG release the Kingdoms Advent Calendar in Europe and not the US (causing frustration there). Can anyone explain why, not related to rpices, TLG treats everyone differently ? Why isn't the entire range available globally, and why aren't new releases released internationally at the same time ? (And does anyone know when LotR sets will be on sale in the UK ?)
  8. this is brilliant - you've done a great job, would love to see this as a set (UCS ?)
  9. I really like what you've done - the simplicity of that awesome set (the sweet smell of nostalgia) with a bit of love thrown and some landscaping - perfect !
  10. am loving the grey clouds - great parts usage ! clever MOC - excellent
  11. perfect, well done (great film, great MOC)
  12. I have two children, and I am an AFOL. I feel the packets to ensure getting two of each (one for each child) minimum. Personally am more of an army builder - and have no problem with collecting multiples of specific minifigs (18 elves, 7 dwarves, 7 romans, 7 spartans, 13 evil warriors, 7 forestmen etc). It's a game of patience. It appears there are numerous bags from past series available near where are. I have helped a number of kids in their search for a specific minifig - community service ? comparing feeling a minifig packet to an apple is not relevant (though I feel fruit and veg when I buy as I want to get the best quality - I then wash before eating, or boil / steam as appropriate). Minifig packets aren't the same as apples. Feeling packets is NOT cheating, or dishonest, or anything else negative. If anything, aged 38, it is verging on pathetic (standing in WHSmith for an entire lunch-hour ...), but since it's not just for myself, I can live with that ! I have as 98% success rate with feeling, and frequently end up feeling for others.
  13. I really can't wait to see this whole thing. Would love to see it in the flesh Awesome - inspiring.
  14. am I right that the last supper images etc are taken on the "reverse" side of the hill and that the entire MOC for the Easter story is thus 5 sides (4 faces and the top) of the baseplate ? - awesome concept ! well done.
  15. 7946 is the better castle, though 7094 has a dragon in it ! what about the Kingdoms Joust ? 10223 ? it's a fine set.
  16. basically what you've caputred here is why the LotR franchise is so awesome - they could be churning out new sets for a decade and we'd still not be finished. great selection, I love that you broek it down by the books.
  17. They're in the shops - well, WHSmith on Argyle Street in Glasgow, UK ... I know, because I was there this morning and bought 64 of them ! (2 of everything plus, in fact 3 of most, 13 more evil knights etc etc!) Awesome-tastic !
  18. awesome, these first edition sets are fab ... time to start saving, this could get expensive ! and what of subsequent issues and sets ? in time for Christmas ?
  19. That's because there are a series of "Easter Eggs" in the Indian Jones films referring to Star Wars : Raiders of the Lost Ark : the boat plane in opening sequences is an aside to Obi-Wan and C-3PO (this is picked up in the Lego sets) Raiders of the Lost Ark : in the tombs in Egypt R2D2 and C-3PO are some of the carvings on the walls (this is picked up in the Lego sets) Temple of Doom : the club in the opening sequences is Club Obi-Wan (this is picked up in the Lego sets) there's a couple of others too : http://www.destinationhollywood.com/movies/indianajones/feature_starwars.shtml etc oops - sorry, just seen this was covered off really early in this topic pages 1 or 2. Also, it's always annoyed me that the Viking Shields are onesense, when other runes say something. It's not like TLG to be so "slapdash".
  20. look like a printed sloping piece like other female minifig's dresses - at least that's what it looks like in my kids "LEGO Club Magazine" which came yesterday, and also clearly shows the red boar on the "evil" knight's shield ...
  21. well your little brother has a promising future ahead of him - keep MOCing
  22. love it ! the trees are excellent. well done
  23. nice idea, simple but effective. (inclusion of bananas forgiven !)
  24. fine adaption, well done !
  25. certainly not a selection I'll be running out to grab - very disappointing (but then I did find 18 elves first time around ! - not sure what the difficulty is, all that is required is patience to feel the packets ... )
