  1. I keep forgetting to pass by one of my local TRU. I'm lucky I have 3 within 15-20min. I think I'll just get a clone battle pack instead of buying 4 separately. Do you guys think these will become "rare" in the future?
  2. I suppose it's a little late to say nice review. I can't believe this set is going for that much. I bought it when it was released and didn't think much of it. I actually prefer the CW Dooku / Yoda. The cheapest used but 100% complete on BL goes for $34. In Australia.
  3. In the PAB there are no minifig parts. There's a section where you can build 3 minifigs for $10 though.
  4. Haha, good eye AND memory! I just could not pass up on the dropship. And after finishing building the first one this past weekend I am very glad I picked up a second.
  5. You captured the shape of the ship very well. It's immediately recognizable without the description. I wonder why TLC hasn't made any Nubians other than the Naboo fighter, they're gorgeous ships.. especially the one in Episode III.
  6. I drove 5 hours this past weekend just for the PAB, and "free shipping" I stacked all the bricks, or most anyway. I was the only one doing this by the way, and the store was packed (downtown disney). I asked if the cups had to fully close and the staff said that as long as the top was no more than an ~half inch above the cup, it was ok because they taped it anyway. I didn't take detailed pictures and I surely did not count my pieces but I'm happy with what I got, just wished they had more plates / tiles. Picked up a few sets, I know the bigger set is "overpriced" but after building my first one I can see why it is expensive, the engineering that went into the set is incredible.
  7. Done, and done!
  8. Thank you WhiteFang, I didn't see that thread. Don't even get me started on the Venator.. it would have to be minifig scale for me to consider one. I'll keep an open mind until I get to the store. By the way.. I've been watching CW, and noticed this ship, which looks like the precursor to the Tantive IV. I'm not sure if they share the same landing gear, however.
  9. I keep looking at the RAS and I just can't stand the blocky shape of it. It's too small compared to the real thing, too. I like the Tantive IV but I'll have to build the landing gear. I wish I knew what I needed for it since I'll be at the PAB already. Hard decision!
  10. Hey guys, I'll be driving 5 hours tomorrow to go to the "biggest Pick a Brick in the world" in the Orlando Lego Imagination Center. I'm mainly going for the PAB and plan on spending a pretty penny there, but I also want to pick up a set or 2 because and take advantage of the "Same Day Air" shipping. I haven't made up my mind yet on which sets to get. I want to get a bigger set, preferably a hard to find or S@H exclusive, something I can't find in the local TRU, Target, etc. Just some things about my collecting: -I collect PT and CW, no OT (with few exceptions) -After my dark ages I have been in the "Republic Army" mindset. And just so I don't get suggestions for sets I already have, I will list them: -2x AT-TE 7675 -2x Republic Gunship 7676 -1x Republic Dropship / AT-OT -2x ARC-170 (1 new, 1 older version) Ok, and now is my biggest question: I am considering getting a second Dropship/AT-OT, as I love the set. I would also be tempted to get the Tantive IV, but not both - because I also want to buy a few PAB cups. I like the Tantive IV because its color scheme is similar to the Republic theme and would go nicely with the rest of my sets. One thing that bothers me about the Tantive IV though is the lack of landing gear, and I'm not 100% sold on the design/shape of it, especially the cockpit, or how stable it would be. I would have to build the landing gear for this set if I bought it. I am also considering the Republic Attack Shuttle, which I would have to modify right out of the box. To those who have one or all 3 of these sets, which would you get? 1. Tantive IV + Republic Attack Shuttle 2. Republic Dropship + Republic Attack Shuttle or forget the Shuttle completely? I look forward to your responses :)
  11. Ditto. I may be in the minority here, but I love ALL Lego. I have more than several TECHNIC sets including 8417 Mag Wheel Master, 8428 Concept Car, 8458 Silver Champion, 8466 4x4 Off Roader, and the list goes on and on. But I LOVE the Star Wars line. And I enjoy trains (Santa Fe, anyone?) and the HP line as well. You walk into my room and you'd think it was a SW Lego store. Funnily enough I "played" with my TECHNIC sets when I was 14. Now? They're in the closet. TECHNIC does not = "adult" or more "advanced". Build the UCS Star Destroyer.. that seems plenty advanced to me.
  12. It is well known the quality is not the same. However, for the price of these rare[r] figs, they're not bad. Magnet thread
  13. I agree, it has that space feel to it. Nicely done with limited bricks.

    MOD 7675 AT-TE

Looks awesome. A job well done! I plan on modifying my 7675 AT-TEs as well, I just haven't found the time. Can you post pictures without the top plates/roof attached? Just to get an idea of what yours looks like as a whole. Clone gunner helmet disparity: I noticed in the gunner station the two gunners have a very noticeable difference in the printing of the helmet. Is this common?

    UCS AT-AT

I think a minifig would be a better choice, not all of us have UCS TIEs!

    Rebel Tank

I like your design, I just wish the driver had an actual windshield.
  17. Neat little ship. I like how much detail you've packed in there. Is the landing gear retractable? How many minifigs fit inside? Just the pilot?
  18. Now why'd you have to go ahead and do that. I have a feeling I'll be making a few purchases from there. Can they be trusted?

    UCS AT-AT

looks great so far. I haven't paid attention to the real AT-AT so I can't tell how accurate yours is, but it does look good. Good job on tackling such a big project.
  20. Lol @ you guys still bumping this thread. I think the majority of us who don't already have the Venator agreed on buying the magnet set and cad bane's speeder. By the way, I saw a couple more Venators today at TRU. Shame their BOGO 50% off sale excludes SW. Wonder why.. no, not really. Off topic: I went to a different Target today and noticed their *Clone* battle packs were marked up by $1 (12). Needless to say I didn't buy anything there and drove happily to my usual one.
  21. I'm very happy with them, actually. After I replaced certain elements. I can't collect for the sake of collecting - I have to like the set in order to buy it, and the Venator and Solar Sailer just don't serve me any purpose, other than taking up space and collecting dust.
  22. Impressive, just like Kim's. This should be on display at a LEGO store. Preferably the Orlando Imagination Center 100?? Try again. look at the first picture for a hint on how they're all standing in uniform.
  23. She can tell if it's Han Solo or Endor Leia but not a simple snowtrooper. Impressive nonetheless.
  24. pm'd. Just some sets I would be interested in trading. -Venator (with figs) - 7676 Gunship - Separatist / Corporate Alliance sets - Republic Cruiser - Ahsoka's Starfighter + other set
