Hello Chaps, I just finished this little diorama about Battle of Puebla (Mexico) May 5th, 1862. The Battle of Puebla took place on 5 May 1862 near the city of Puebla during the French intervention in Mexico. The battle ended in a victory for the Mexican Army over the occupying French forces. The French eventually overran the Mexicans in subsequent battles, but the Mexican victory at Puebla against a much better equipped and larger French army provided a significant morale boost to the Mexican army and also helped slow the French army's advance towards Mexico City.

Collectable Minifigure Sightings & Availability
Snowspeeder Pilot replied to mo123567's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Toys R Us in Calexico, California have just two boxes from this series. I grab all of them except for the Chicken Guy. I made a mistake, when I was touching the bag I though I got the chicken guy but not, I grab Cyclops, well two cyclops are ok for me. And 15/16 minifigures is good to me -

By the way the Hoth Rebel Soldiers' uniforms are wrong since the Battle Pack, those looks like more the Hangar Personnel instead the trench soldiers. LEGO designers needs to watch Empire Strikes Back one more time. -

My hope for a new Rebel Pilot (Wes Janson, Wedge Antilles (New Face), Hobbie, etc.) is gone... I will get this set only for General Rieekan, you can make your Hoth Luke using the Hoth Planet Set and your X-Wing Luke. -

Thank you very much for your comment Brig. Brick, you have a better and great explanation of this mexican tradition. I decided to add more to this scene because I noticed that was poor, I added another tomb and a typical character of this tradition, Don Juan Tenorio. Don Juan Tenorio is a play from José Zorrilla (spanish writer), is typical in mexican teathers during this time. Hope you like it.

Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de los Muertos) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. It is particularly celebrated in Mexico, where it is a national holiday, and all banks are closed. The celebration takes place on November 1 and 2, in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saint's Day and All Soul's Day Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased usin sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts. They also leave possessions of the deceased. (From Wikipedia). This is my little diorama for this day. A little party of the deaths.

Also if you check the Episode IV, V and VI, you will see it the same helmets, for example, you can see on this picture, Red Leader's helmet (Episode IV) on the left, behind Princess Leia, Tiree's helmet from Episode IV, Hobbie's helmet is the same that Dutch Vander used during battle of Yavin, Porkins' helmet is used by another Hoth Pilot, is in this scene at the right. -

Thanks for sharing this! I was crossing my finger for Janson or Hobbie on Planet Hoth but this figure is amazing! I will buy several of this! Snowspeeder looks great for me! Well, the box only shows "Snowspeeder Pilot", there were a many pilots that used that helmet during Hoth Evacuation.
