  1. Looks quite impressive. It seems to be a combination of 2 gearboxes (main & auxialary), quite smart.
  2. Yes I am, thank you !! But you are the true master: you deserve much more credit for this creation than I do. Making my own TT-chassis would propably take weeks of building, testing and breaking gears & U-joints. I must say that discovering your website and your fantastic models (about 9 months ago) has inspired me so much that I have spent many, many more hours (weeks, months) with my Lego-bricks than I would otherwise have done. And I would like to thank you very much for that. I'm especially amazed by your building speed, you seem to be able to make very complex models in a limited amount of time. I will definately keep following your work.
  3. This is what I made from Sariel's chassis: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"> More info can be found here.
  4. This indeed is truly PHE-NO-ME -NAL !!!
  5. First of all: Big thanks fo Sariel & everybody who helped making the instructions for the Jeep Wrangler (which can be downloaded here) !! It made it possible to easily make my own Trial-Truck: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"> As I wanted a break from my main project (which is a new supercar) I decided to build the chassis of Sariel's Jeep Wrangler. It performed so well that I decided to make a complete car. The looks of the iconic 8466 was chosen (I finally found a use for those weird green panels). After one day of building, the chassis was ready & tested, it took another day to make the global looks of the car and a couple of evenings were spent making the final details. Constructionwise it is very different from the original 8466, it's also a bit smaller, about 80% of the original. The doors of the 8466 are one of its coolest features, so those had to be recreated. They unfortunately don't have the damped shock-absorbers for 2 reasons: there was no space & the doors might open out of themselves when doing offroad-driving. A small truck-trial circuit was created in my own backyard to do some offroad-driving and filming, which was a lot of fun !! I'm very impressed with the performance of this chassis. Only minor changes were made to the chassis: I made some protection for the rear knob-wheels, preventing anything (like plants or grass) to come between them. I noticed that the rear shock-absorbers were a bit loose so I locked them. And the chassis was reinforced a bit. You can find my Brickshelf-folder here. 6. Looks very promising. I'm very curious for the result.
  7. Those suspension & gearbox certainly look interesting. Nice that no u-joints were used.
  8. Allready seen this one a time ago on MOC-pages, but it's still very cool !!
  9. Amazing to see what can be done with such a small number of parts. I love LEGO !!!
  10. This is the first Lego-lawnmower I've ever seen, and looks like this is a smart one as well. Very nice model !!
  11. Haven't painted any parts so far. It's just like Mahqua says: it makes you more creative. But when reading how difficult it is to get a good result when painting/spraying parts, I will propably never try it. I won't neccecarily dislike models with painted parts (even Jennifer Clark painted some parts white).
  12. It's not the only LEGO-Useless machine: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">
  13. Yes, my yellow XXXL-jeep was built in only 2 days ( 1 1/2 day to make is, 1/2 day to make it twice as long, according to the new rules).
  14. That's a real pity, cause these ACC's are really big fun. And making a simple RC-car shouldn't that difficult for an average technic-builder, meaning lots of people can enter such a competition.
  15. Love to see Lego float, great job !!
  16. Not being a fan of machines designed to hurt people, I do like this model. (And Lego doesn't hurt people :) ) . And works pretty well as well, nice.
  17. Model looks a bit crowded to me. Does this Hayarobi-guy work for LEGO ? Or can everybody just use the LEGO-LOGO and a make up a set-nr for their moc's ?
  18. Wow, impressive !! I especially like the tracks which can be extended & retracted.
  19. Yes, it look like these gear aren't secured, which causes the 16t to slide down and start rattling. Make sure all the gear-transitions are secured on both sides when high torque is needed.
  20. Yes, nice work indeed. Now everybody can make a real "Sariel", cool.
  21. Yes, add me to the list of people inspired by her truly fantastic work. My excavator was mainly based on the information on het exellent website. Thanks Jennifer & Thanks paul !!! Yes, add me to the list of people being inspoired by her fantastic work. My excavator was based mainly on information on her exellent website. Thanks Jennifer & thanks Paul.
  22. Seeing this reminds me of those years that have passes. I remember this as being the only interesting Technic set from that time, and I'm very fortunate to own it. Brings back good memories, thanx for posting !!
  23. This indeed is quite a challange. I've built both myself and I'd advise to start with the excavator as a Backhoe loader has almost twice as much functionality. You can find an LDraw-file of my excavator on my MOC-page or download here directly. . Take a look at this website from Jennifer Clark, it basicly explains how to make a motorized excavator. If you have any specific questions, you can mail me at Jurgenstechniccorner@hotmail.com Good luck & happy building !!
