  1. What kind of files are you talking about. http://www.peeron.com is a good recource for building instructions and TLG provides a number of pdf-building instructions on their own site: http://technic.lego.com/nl-nl/BuildingInst...ns/default.aspx
  2. Wow, thai is some real great wheel-stuff. I had no idea there were so many ways to construct wheels from plain lego-parts.
  3. I absolutely don't mind you making another excavator, because yours are just sooooooo pretty.
  4. Yes, extremely nice model. It didn't get more than 1.000.000 Youtube-views for nothing.
  5. Very very nice. That green colour makes it look extra mean !! Great work.
  6. Yes, this one is fantastic. And the printed result looks quite good to.
  7. Please take a look at the modifications Designer Han has made for the 8258 http://www.designer-han.nl/lego/. It made my 8258 function properly. He has also made some optical improvements.
  8. For me the best alternative model is the 5540 (surprisingly not a technic-set) Model team F1 racer, which is Bi-plane. I like it because it's vey pretty and completely different from the main model.
  9. Thanks for the encouragement, but I won't. "Making work out of your hobby" sounds very nice, but I already did that once. I'm a musician, make a living from making music and selling music-instruments in a store. I've turned my music-hobby into my day-job. I love my work, but when I get home I mostly want to something else, not music-related (like making MOC's !!!). So I want to keep Lego as a hobby. Besides, I don't have a desinger-education, so I don't have the right papers anyway. And I don't live in Denmark, but I'm not shure if that is a problem.
  10. Tempting to apply, but I'm afraid that doing this as work might take the fun out of the hobby. Now I can build if I feel like it, otherwise you'have to.
  11. Thanks to the istructions, I've been able to build it. I already had almost all the parts and the missing ones could be replaced by other parts. 'It actually felt like having a new set in my collection. I'm thinking about doing some modifications and maybe motorising it.
  12. Well, thanks for noticing, and thanks to Crowcillers for making them available (& for Blakbird for creating them) !!
  13. No I've never seen those before, but I'm just as curios as you.
  14. Indeed very good-looking. And the colour is nice too.
  15. Oh, this is very, very cute. If only it could really bark :-)
  16. That indeed is a difficult questions as there have been many great sets, each with it's own strong points. And it's rather weird to compare sets I own with sets I don't own e.g. the 8480 Space shutle seems to be very very good, but I can't say, cause I don't have it and will propably never be able to build it due to lots of parts I don't have. But if I'd have to choose I'd say: - Best design: 8285 Tow-Truck - Most complex/best functions: 8868 Airtech Claw Rig for it's pneumatics & compressor. - Most revolutionary: 8275 Motorized bulldozer for the powerfunctions - Most underrated: 8846 Yellow Tow Truck - Best small set: 8846 Yellow Tow Truck - Great, but forgotten: 8846 Yellow Tow Truck Conclusion: the 8846 is my favorite set (partly for nostalgic reasons) & 8868 is the best technical set IMO.
  17. And the ending is asolutely genius !! Very very funny.
  18. I especially like how smooth it drives, considering the size (weight) of the model and the fact that onle M-motors are used for driving. Nice work !! (And I can't wait to get the 8043 myself).
  19. I thought all of this is already possible with the 8879. And the 8884 receiver has 8 channels divided in 4 groups of 2. The main difference between the 8885 and the 8879 is that the 8879 doesn't have to keep IR-contact with the receiver for a motor to keep running. With the 8885, permanent IR-contact is needed for the motor to run, so when you switch channels, the motor stops, but with the 8879 it will keep running.
  20. There's no need to hurry :-) I would apreciate it if you could post one (or some) here with a link to your brickshelf-folder. This will make it easy for all of us to find them. Thank you !! With each MOC I make I consider making instructions. But do to the amount of work & time it takes, I can't promiss to make instructions for everything I make. But I will definately make instructions for some of the thing I (will) make. And could you let me know about the errors you found so I can correct them ?
  21. I just looked through the entire instructions for the 10x4 Dumptruck and they are of the highest quality. Very accurate and completely clear. They are the only custom instructions I've seen that are of TLG-quality (maybe even prettier). This is definately worth BIG BIG BIG COMPLIMENTS !!! And the model looks sooooo good.
  22. These models certainly look impressive. I really like the 1982 mobile truck for its nostalgic looks.
  23. I would really love to see them. Will you post them here ?
