  1. Now that's what I call an army! X-D Very impressive, I'm amazed how many of these guys you have! ~Amanda
  2. "Hi Amanda How do you get them to minifig size for printing?" Hello, When I am going to print off some of my decals, I open it up in The GIMP (Free-photoediting program (I've heard of others using other things, such as Word)), and set the print size to that of a LEGO Torso. I believe the height I set it to is 0.61 in. but I am not 100% sure, MCN is down at the moment, so I can't get in to check it in the template section. "Beautiful decals you have there , will you be doing any other custom designs?" I should be doing some more. Since creating this topic, I have been adding a few new things here and there, but these past few days I'm kinda slacking. Thanks for the comments everybody. ~Amanda
  3. Wow! Some of you have got quite impressive collections going.. "- 50 Crossbow Attacks - 25 Final Jousts - 10 Chess - 1 each of the other sets" ..Especially yours! :-D So far I have got a nice little box of extra bricks from all my sets, as well as a nice army of Knights. Very few skeletons though, since I had been selling them off to afford new sets, seems like the prices have dropped on eBay for them now, though. I want to get 3 Tic-Tac-Toe sets or so, maybe a chess set, and as many more Crossbow attacks, Jousts, and '08 sets I can get! Err.. afford that is. X-D ~Amanda
  4. "I just realized that all the forums are gone except this one??? did they just all get merged into one? what happened?" I believe they were all merged in one by removing all of the sub-forums. I like it alot this way, makes it much easier for me to navigate on dial-up. *y* ~Amanda
  5. Hello fellow Castle fans, This year has been treating us LEGO fans very well, with many promising sets and set lines. One of these lines that sticks out high above the others for me is the new 'Castle' line. I tell you, never has there been a line which I have boughten so much of (Although if I was old enough then, I would have bought alot of some of the older castle lines.). So far this year, I have purchased: -9 Crossbow Attacks -5 Final Jousts -7 Catapults -7 Prison Wagons -1 Dwarf Mine So I am curious, how much has everybody else been buying? ~Amanda
  6. I picked the plain metallic armor. While the printed versions are nice, and I just love the design on them, I had to choose metallic over pearl. As I have voiced before on other forums, the new pearl pieces are not my cup of tea, it just turns a brilliant piece of LEGO into something like a clone brick, due to the poor quality look of the pearls. I currently own just one suit of the metallic from my Dwarf Mine set, and absolutely love it! Looks nnice like shining metal, and matches the helms. ~Amanda
  7. Hey, happy (belated) Birthday to the both of you! I hope you enjoyed it. "Just a brilliant Nikon D40x DSLR camera..." "Oooh. I'm sure you'll have fun with that." Oh man, I'm going to have to second that oooh, that's a really nice gift. :-) ~Amanda
  8. "What a silly thing to post in a Pirate LEGO Forum ... ...Obviously the answer is forget Castle and use the money to buy more Pirates." Just because this is the Pirate Forum that doesn't mean there aren't Castlers hanging about. ;-) I would recommend the Castle (What are the odds, a Castle fan suggesting Castle?), especially with all the great sets that are currently out, the awesome new sets for next year, and the great chances of there being more to come in the next couple years. Another good thing about choosing a line that's currently in production is the chance of catching some great sales in the stores and at S@H. Of course, I personally think LEGO should just come out with a new pirate line so fans don't have to have such dilemmas. X-D ~Amanda
  9. :-D I saw this in your signature earlier and had a good laugh. Very creative, and very funny as well. Nice collection of Bob's you have there, by the way! ~Amanda
  10. Happy Birthday, guys. I hope you have a great day, and receive some great presents. Especially of the best kind, you know, the kind that jingles! (The way I described this it sounds like I mean money.. :-D (Well, either one is great!) ) ~Amanda
  11. Crownies and Dwarves are both on the same side. (Probably joined forces due to the new Goblin threats.) Skellies would be on a side of thier own, brought to life by the evil Sorcerer to wipe out the good guys. With the skeleton army now mostly under control, a new enemy arises, the Trolls and Goblins, due to this increase in enemies the Crownies join Forces with the Dwarves. That's the way I look at it at least, but as Sinner has said, there is no set story, so it's really just how you see it. :-) ~Amanda
  12. This is a very well designed layout. Everything ties together very nicely. I like the indian laying down in the yard of that one home. ~Amanda
  13. Very nice army you have there, mainly just the crownies though, but the skellies are nice too. I've got a good lot of them all too, but few skellies, since I've been eBaying them for more LEGO funds. I was thinking of buying a few Tic-Tac-Toe sets to increase my number of armored soldiers. Just remember, you can never have too many knights, so keep building that army! X-D ~Amanda
  14. "Though I'm large for my size, so it's really akward walking down the toy aisles - ah well, a kid at heart and age, but not in mass " It is pretty awkward checking out when you have heaps of LEGO. This is the one reason I like buying at TRU, they don't really give you the looks like others do when you shop at Target or the like, I mean it's a toy store- That's what everybody else is shopping for. :-) As for the age, I'm 16. ~Amanda
  15. Thanks, guys! "Mr. Tiber will have some work adding those pirate decals to The Great Pirate Torso Library." :-) I'm happy they will be added to the library, hopefully they will get good use. "I love that Indy face!" Thanks. When I saw the first picture of Indy I made that decal straight away, and successfully forgot to upload it until now. "Cool work, I especially like that female Town one, although I think it would fit very nice into the Adventurers theme as well." Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure that was an Adventurer torso. (I should probably make a category for Adventurer, rather than the oriental.) "And these wood/metal shields without the skull emblem
  16. Hello everybody, I have been making alot of official decal designs lately, (Actually, I started in the begining of Summer, been an on/off thing.) and since just yesterday I upgraded my Flickr account to Pro, I have decided to store my decals there rather than Brickkshelf, due to uploading time, the site going down, and time for things to go public. So far, I've gotten many designs up, some a few months old, some just fresh and new. Here are some links for you all: -Castle- -Ninja- -Western/Cowboy- -Oriental- -Pirate- -Space- -Star Wars- -Town- -Shields- -Faces- You can also view the whole collection here. If you have any suggestions for different colors, or if there is a certain official design you think I should give a try, just let me know by PM (Don't want this to turn into a request thread.) and I may try it out. If it's a whole new official design you want me to tackle, please send me a picture of the figure from this site. Please do not alter these designs, especially if you plan to pass them off as your own. If you use any of these decals, please give a little mention of credit. I looked around a bit, and I think this would be the correct forum placement for this topic, if it isn't, I'm sorry about that, this just seemed the only proper place to me. Enjoy the decals! ~Amanda
  17. Btw, is this torso already existing? It goes well with the Islanders. I just finished it and added it into the title for you. You custom torso designers are so nice, always willing to take requests! Why thank you. *sweet* I finished the minifig-sized junior Pirate and added him in, that was the first 4+ design I've ever converted into a minifig decal. Turned out pretty cool, too. ~Amanda
  18. I believe the "Mameluk" torso is the same as the "Imperial one". Thank you for pointing that out, just a bit of mis-linking, that's all. Would you be able to make a Minifig sized torso of the 4+ pirate captain? It would be highly appreciated! I should be able to do it. Would you mind linking to a picture of him, please? ~Amanda
  19. Hey, I've actually already done that one. I'll add it in for you right away. This custom section is quite cozy, by the way! ~Amanda
  20. Let's make it official, your are my favorite girl on this forum !! Heh.. :-D Thanks for adding my torsos into the library. I have just completed the two missing Imperials. ~Amanda
  21. Oh, cool! I really like the surgeon and the cook, just because I like the way the food and blood 'sploches' look. That Diplomat is nice, too. Very detailed. *y* ~Amanda
  22. Now we are only missing one of the official pirate torso's in the library. Correction, there is one more that's missing... Got 'em! (Just adding those two to the title now.) These are excellent. You make Town ones ever? Yes I do, over at MCN I have links to all of my decal re-makes I have been doing (About 40 designs so far.) -Click here to go there- ...Instead of purchasing another 300 pirate figs, i may use these torso designs instead. Wait. Another 300 pirate figs? You must have quite the impressive collection! Amanda, fantastic work. I very much appreciate the time and attention to getting us these designs! You are very welcome! I've really been enjoying doing this, it gives me something fun to do! Are there any imperials not yet done? I'd be happy to do them if so. ~Amanda
  23. Very nice! I love how Lego-like these are, looks very nice indeed. Would you mind if I printed me off a torso for a nice custom pirate? ~Amanda
  24. But, that's a Jungle Adventurer's torso! Heheh.. I've been caught! It's really the variations of that design that are the Pirate-y ones, but I decided to include that one too. I am just adding Mad Eye Moody and Captain Red Beard to the topic. ~Amanda
  25. Captain Redbeard is missing eh'? He just happens to be on my to-do list. Should be done very shortly, too. ~Amanda
