  1. Interesting, been working on something close to this but in a non modular way and also including the shop from 7633 But you have given me some ideas that I would not of thought of with out seeing this. Great work mate, Its sets like this that make me restart something to make it better.
  2. One word sums it all up WOW Every time I look through the pictures I see some thing else. Never really liked the modular buildings, but this it making me rethink the whole idea.
  3. I like the way they all line up together I nearly missed the phone box (wondered why the end of your post office looked orange) DOH, glad I caught it though, for something so small it really adds a certian something. As for your pub, I will be interested in how that turns out, I have just ordered some bricks to try and build one my self.
  4. Many thanks to Captain Zuloo, FreeBee and pe668. I'll try all 3 ways over the next few days and when I find 1 that works for me I'll post some new pics up. Once again thanks.
  5. I'm trying to rebuild my train station into something like my local train station. On one side the is the station and platform, then a foot bridge over two parallel tracks and the a small platform on the other side. This is a pic of basically what I'm trying to do, please remember this is a W.I.P. There will be a parallel track running next to the track shown. A few more pics can be found HERE At the moment I need the tracks to be 2 studs apart but to join up a a set of points not to far away from the station. Is this possible with standard straights and curves or would I need some flexy track or something else ??? Thanks in advance. [EDIT] I don't think it will matter to much but I will be using the RC track.
  6. Looking good mate. To my eyes it looks like there is a white border on some of your stickers. If it just the thickness of the stickers showing, get a felt tip that closely matches the color and run it around the edge not on the printed face. This eliminates the white edge that shows.
  7. Looking good mate. And I love the grey and red colors, and the stickers really make it pop

    MOC Repair Truck

Thanks for the idea...I have a spare camper roof some where, I have a play over the next few days and put up some more pics when done.
  9. I had my bank delivered yesterday but to my it missed the most important part, a safe. The rest of the bank is same at the moment, until I order some red 4x1x5 window frames so I can extend the office to go above the safe. The front is basically the same with just a side extension. Here you can see the safe door closed. And the open Money. What else is in there. I hope this safe is drill proof. Good job there is 24 hour security Comments and criticisms more than welcome
  10. Lady in grey - Excuse me do you sell this hat in a smaller size. Lady in red - Sorry thats not a hat
  11. Here my MOC for a repair van. There was one like this on my street last week changing some street light bulbs. Heres a LINK to what the real on looks like. Yes it is based on 7245 Prisoner Transport Comments and criticisms more than welcome
  12. Seeing as it will take over 1 month to get my hands on 10194 Emerald night from TLG, so I brought 7897 passenger train and will get emerald night next month. Also got some more stands to go into my football stadium.
  13. Damn I was hoping that I could get away with not buying this set and make do with the 10159 Airport but this set looks to good not to get. Thanks for the review.
  14. Well you could always use it as a Frisbee, or a small plate to put snacks on when building Lego. Or on a hot day you could always use it as a fan to cool your self down with.
  15. I like the look of this and I like the use of Technic pins to hold the tools. Just 1 question what is that in the front window to the left of the door ???
  16. Thanks for the great review mate. I'm really 50/50 on this. I like my 7893 passenger plane and this one seems small compared to it and I don't like the seating in this. Might buy it and use it as a executive jet to go with the heli and limo set I'm sure it could be pimped out.
  17. My town has needed a bank for a long time so when I seen THIS I had to get it. Last time I seen one of these on e-bay it went for over £20 so I think I got a good bargain. Not bothered about a box. Plus I have some spare bank window, safe and money for this set so I can expand this and make it bigger.
  18. Very nice indeed. I've been trying to build a truck like this for the past week and could not get it to look right with a 6 wide cab and a 4 wide hood. Might have to start again now I've seen how it can be done.
  19. Now where are the seats in the Limo. I thought a Limo was supposed to be luxurious. I was all set to rush out and get this and now I think I will wait. The Limo don't look right, could be the wheels or the fact it is only 4 wide as previously pointed out. Still like the look of the helicopter.
  20. I think a lot of this is down to nostalgia over the older sets. We always seem to remember things better than there are. Yes I had some of the classic sets that have been mentioned and I still have fond memories of them. The hours I used to drive my 4 stud wide cars around and I used to love my little police motor bike with it windscreen. But I don't think it is fair to compare it to todays Lego as todays is far superior. Just look at Compared to the older police stations I think this one wins hands down. Yes some of the modern set are bad but not every old set was great either. If Lego remains as popular for the next few years as it is now I sure TLG will bring out more and more great sets to prove this. As much as I loved the Lego I had as a kid when I build a old style car now it just don't feel or look right anymore.
  21. Oh trust me is was a accident and not staged. Although its not a bad idea to do, but I would have to video it this time. Just spent 30 min looking for 2 16x1 yellow bricks for the train station that was not needed, it was a 10x1 +a 6x yellow brick. Ouch I've got a box of technic as well an I know what its like when you drop a few never mind two models worth and yes it did make me smile.
  22. So I was sorting out all of my Lego so I could take some pictures and show you all. The problem happened when I fixed my passenger plane and asked of of my kids to take it and move it to the airport. Now as he took it and started to fly it around the room (as kids do) and he dropped it straight into my train station. The train station, bus stop, passenger plane, railway repair truck, cement mixer and a few other bits are now in hundreds of pieces. On a good note my tower crane just laughed when the plane wing hit it and there seems to be no damage. The worst part was I was working on a passenger bridge at my train station for passengers to get to platform 2, and that is now smashed up as well. Also there was a TV crewe filming a episode of world's toughest fixes and it looks like my Sean Riley Mini fig is dead as well. I've uploaded some pics to Flickr HERE
  23. WOW I think you got these perfect mate. Just looking at these brought back memories of some of the greatest episodes. I think the only thing missing is Adam burning his hair off.
  24. Love it, can't wait to see how you do the curry stains on Daves t shirt or a Holly would be great. Red Dwarf is on Dave later on tonight, might have to watch it again now.
