Hello lads, I've seen a lot of creative idea's on this website over the years, but i found one thing a bit... "Lacking". Something i wanted to see more of... I always like special effects, i love them in fact. It's what makes a movie awesome to me, from Thor's lightning to Smaug's fire it's what makes everything believable As a Lego fanatic i want to avoid Photoshop as much as possible, and create my own effect using the thing i just photographed! (Does that make sence?) I've seen lot's of great Brick effects on Flickr, Like this awesome Nightcrawler BAMF! effect from Tim Lydy - https://www.flickr.c...s-77334655@N07/ This amazing Gambit effect from my good friend Grantmasters (Who makes LOTS of these) - https://www.flickr.c.../in/dateposted/ And my all time favourite explosion effect, by Torsten Bonsch ( I still don't get how he does it) - https://www.flickr.c...v-pV64uL-pV64nS So because i love those effects so much, i decided to make a thread for it. and for Everyone to share their effects here may it be Ant-Man, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Wolverine etc... the craziest things And i decided to make an easy guide for effects with a part lay out so everyone can join the fun and make their own. So first up is Quicksilver: 1. My personal favourite It's a great example of Quicksilvers speed trail from Age of Ultron, easy to make and it looks awesome in MOC's 2. The sleek effect This one is very Cartoony / Comic like, it turns out as a very sleek effect. Working with the colours that come from the Quicksilver Minifigure 3. The busting Ultron drone effect This one also represents the speed trail effect from Age of Ultron, except this one doesn't follow the colours of his clothes and hair, this is a blurred line really, and the nice parts are the Ultron drone bodyparts flying around, just like in the movie (Altough not possible in different angles sadly) And then the one i almost forgot 4. The very easy effect As said very easy, just a single Banner / Flag piece in trans blue (True ) So i hope there are some of you that like to contribute to this thread, and i would love it even more if someone actually uses these effects! Next up Doctor Strange:

We haven't seen Zemo in set photo's... Also, seeing that compiled list from Sir Gareth, makes me want to shove 200 bucks in a Lego employees face and beg for the new sets Crap i will be losing money next year i love the idea of a retail exclusive later, (Believe it or not) but i like a long wait for a good set!

My bet is that one will include, Giant Man, Scarlet Witch, Bucky, Cap, Iron Man. wich would leave Tony heavely outnumbered but who knows? The jet should make for an awesome display piece, i also spotted the Watchtower in the leaked trailer but can't link it here

All i can say is... Called it called it called it... the Airport is going to be a big part of the movie, hence the set. So the airport includes the "Jet like build" and a retail exclusive? sounds good! maybe for the missing characters like Hawkeye and such? But off course! that's it! my guess is it will include Spidey! to avoid spoilery mess

Screw this, i'm moving. All joking aside, i love the fact we are getting Carol, Thanos, T'Challa, Zemo and all those other amazing characters in the same year, we are very lucky this year guys But i'm not feeling positive about the Summer wave (Prove me wrong Lego) seeing as Doctor Strange will be released in November, and October / November is not a usual date to launch Lego sets, the chances are slim... I was really hoping to finally get a MCU Stephen Strange... Couldn't wait to start design powers and flight for him, but who knows? maybe we will get a set...
