In short, its because she is WAY to long. I live in a very small house, and due to her sheer size everywhere I put her she managed to get wrecked at least once However I'm sure something good will be born from the ashes, so here's hoping

These are in a way commemorative photos, as this beautiful ship shall no longer be sailing my waters. Let it be know that this day, in the year of our Lord 2010, the Charger has been decommissioned after an exemplary record of service to these our states of America. Fighting pirates far and abroad in strange and foreign lands, and guiding me through the most wondrous places I could imagine. Three cheers for the Charger! This ship was my finest, and my favorite, may many more come after her! Can a moderator kindly close my WIP thread, as she is now done? Also forgive me if the pics are a little small, I wanted them to be as sharp as I could make them. And in summary:

Well done indeed! I really like the layout, and the stickers are the icing on the cake to be sure. It looks like it would be a very functional store that would go great in any town! Excellent job mate, and keep bricking!

A very nice build, the only thing I would suggest is like others have stated have a canal so the tanker can get out Well done mate, and keep bricking!

I actually like this a lot! you have inspired me to try a flyer of my own I really like how simple and sleek the design is, and the guns look like they are clumped for straight on charging

Purchase in bulk from Pick a Brick
Fires-storm replied to BryanKinkel's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Huh, I may have to try this, I need a ton of 1x6 and 1x4 bricks, as well as very VERY many either side studded 1x1's. To this day I have no idea what those are called -
I'll see what I can "Whip" up. (yes, yes, I know, fruit salad and smoothie jokes are so cliche)

Well done indeed mate. If I could give you a standing ovation for the unveiling of this magnificent creation, I surely would! The detail on the clock tower is simply stunning, and the entrance to the grocery stands out beautifully. Not to mention the entire building has a nice and cheery feel about it Again I say well done, and keep bricking!

Oh my.....This is a truly beautiful moc! I love all the flowers out front, and the gazebo is just perfect. Not to mention the picture is amazingly sharp, well done!

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Fires-storm replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
Camels or no, I can honestly say that I have never been more excited about a theme! Not only does this have a chance of greatly expanding the pirates line, but we can have a few of our most loved movie heroes in Lego! I love the look, and can't wait to buy my first set (though camels would be nice) -
Maybe he just decided to befriend the pirates and is going to be a turncoat I like this, and it is especially good for a limited supply of bricks. Well done mate, and keep bricking!

Heavily modified 7947 Prison Rescue Tower
Fires-storm replied to Sid's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I could have swore I replied to this! I was amazed by what the combination of two of these could do, and you blended them effortlessly to create one beautiful modification of the original! As others have said I wouldn't hesitate to drop 50 bucks for this over the original Well done mate, and keep bricking! -
I love this type of vehicle, so this is actually a very nice design to me. I like how the front is designed, and the display is pretty well done too

I actually did not think the dish was all that distracting, and I can't wait for your next house! Just one thing though, you may want to go view the deep linking tutorial so that your images can be more readily accessed on here

Well done, I really like the use of the bike chassis, in addition to the nice color scheme, however I would recommend the lime green on both sides, as it is an interesting offset to the other colors

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Fires-storm replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
True, sorry I was just so excited about the possibility of Spaniards that I spaced a bit on historical fact, I mean after all, with all the Redcoat/Bluecoat talk I wouldn't mind having a few Spaniards in the mix -
Well done so far on this ship mate! I really love how the staggered masts look, and the bow is just perfect IMO. I kind of liked it with the prefab rigging, but custom will probably look excellent as well! I may have to try some custom rigging on my two schooners I'm working on...We'll see. Your ship had really inspired me with its evolutions mate!

It would be amazing if they came back, but I think that Klaus is right that it will not be next year, because of the double header of historical themes with Pirates of the Caribbean and Kingdom, however I do believe that at some point they will make a return. After all, some people back in the 90's thought pirates would never come back too All that I know for sure is that when they come back I'll be right there waiting

If this is for real, I'm definitely going to get some! The detailing on those is amazing, and it makes the figures really pop with their own personal attitudes

MOC Collectible minifig Series 1.5 "Rodeo Clown"
Fires-storm replied to greg3's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Wow, well done, at first I thought that this was actually a first gen collectible, until I remembered the list of them You've done an amazing job on all of these creations, keep up the good work! -
Yes, those are truly very nice creations! I believe the one I like best is the corner store, as it shows some very good and well executed techniques. These are very well done in my opinion, keep bricking!

First off, I believe you mean fantasy Mr. Timms, as sci-fi implies science Second off, I honestly do not mind the fleshies, as they sometimes convey more of a nice realistic feeling in a moc then a normal yellow minifig's head can do, however if you do not like them, a little yellow marker fixes it right up! A few of the things I'm excited about from this set are 1: New horizons for Lego pirates, be they ghost ships or horrors of the deep. 2: A true honest to God KRAKEN! 3: A possibility of getting back Lego Conquistadors! I mean really, the fountain of youth, most often shown in Florida, home of the Spanish back then? If they don't get involved I'll be shocked. 4: Blackbeard. Need I say more? All in all, this should be a good set, and if it comes, I'm grabbing all I can. -
Ok, I never thought I'd use wow this much in one day on the town forum, but here I go again...WOW! The detailing over the front window is just fabulous, and the way you made it modular as well as playable is superb. It would truly look right at home in any city Some of my favorite features are the architectural design, and the care you took in designing all the figs

Oh my, this is lovely! I like the detail of the upstairs tiles actually, it looks like you put down a carpet, which is a very nice touch This is a truly beautiful building, it would look perfect as a set
-
Ah, much improved! I really like the design, mind if I use it in one of my wip modular houses?
