Do you mean the GCPD one? The ones with boots on?
-
Absolutely. Just make the figures that suit you. That’s the general gist of this thread after all. And it was totally brown. :)
-
Actually he’s wearing very dark blue. Lots of colouring for certain things on SW have been altered to match what they were actually wearing during the movies since the props and costume started touring and being photographed under normal light rather than the screen hues that were used during filming. The Black Series figure of Han has dark blue trousers and the Costumes book with the photographs of all the prop costumes from the time that's sitting next to me tells me they're dark blue.

Lego cape is better but I prefer the Phoenix for everything else.
-
Yeah. As much as it's good, looking at it again this morning I don't think it's worth the £50 investment to buy 65 pairs of those legs to update. They'll eventually print those hips anyway. Besides... that money can be spent on more arms, E-11s and various other bits.
-
I'm not taking any credit for this one. TWP showed me this with the Tank Trooper hips. So now to decide. Do I update all 65 Stormtrooper/Sandtroopers/Jumptroopers/Shocktroopers? Or not bother? *Sigh*

You can also get a pretty passable Dr Evazan from regular parts too. Second from the left: -
Well.... He was ripe for being updated. Dark Tan hair and those dual moulded legs. Get some printed arms from FS and this would be the perfect celebration Luke. Shame these have to go back on CC Han though.

There are plenty of FB groups as OCD-Chad mentions. You can still arrange through Paypal and those things are quite well regulated by mods so they've always felt like relatively safe places to buy and sell through. 10030 is a big ticket set though. I'm sure you'll have interest in it. Just make sure you do your research on pricing from BrickLink and eBay beforehand so you know the pricing is right on it. You could always post it in the B/S/T part of this site also. And yeah... 75192 cockpit really does take it up a notch. :)

That's the one. It's a Blacktron torso... I looked it up after mentioning it. I reckon that with the Biker Scout legs would work well. You've also got Lav Sivrak who could work with tan Jedi robes (maybe from a prequel Obi Wan) and a grey werewolf head. Kabe could be done with Bat head and ears from Manbat. There's a POTC torso which has a bare chest and waistcoat on a red torso. The bare chest is brown though so I'm not sure if it's fro a zombie. Get some red arms on that and matching short legs and I think that would be pretty good. Bo Shek is quite simple to do. There's a black torso with white space suit detailing. Just grab that with black legs, light flesh head and dark brown swept back hair. Maybe even Biker Scout legs for him. -
Keep the ones you want. Sell the ones you don't. If you're feeling this way then don't get precious over things. If you're not getting anything from owning something then move it on. I was in a state of habitual collecting and then re-evaluated things. I don't miss anything I've sold. And I wouldn't worry about things you've promised your kids. By the time it comes to hand then down they may have moved on and be interested in something else.

You also have the option of using Bricks and Pieces from Lego to order parts. BrickLink may seem daunting at first but once you get used to it you'll spend a lot of time and money there. Enjoy! :)

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!

I don’t watch Youtubers with any kind of regularity but someone pointed me towards a video of someone that appeared to fake a reaction to receiving a parcel of fake Lego. It turns out it was MandR. My impression with his channel is that he does know somebody that is giving him correct information regarding releases at times but he also takes info from other sources with no substance at all so there’s a bit of a scattergun approach. Because of that I’d take each prediction with a pinch of salt, although there’s a ‘chance’ of it being correct. -
I'm strictly OT so that's where I'm sticking. Maybe Luke on Medical Frigate but that's not something I'm going to worry too much about.
-
That's the last Luke we need to complete updating all his looks. Farmboy, Stormtrooper, X-Wing Pilot, Hoth, Medical Bay, Snowspeeder, Dagobah, Bespin, Jabba's Palace, Jedi with collar up, Jedi with collar down. If we get that we should be done (Celebration Luke still looks decent if you updated the head and hair). And those helmets are in dire need of updating. Although I'll then need 4 of them to replace all my Scouts. To be fair we've had pretty good updates of all the main trinity in recent years. Smuggler Han, Stormtrooper Han, Hoth Han, Bespin Han, Carbon Han, Endor Han. (although we need more of those dual moulded legs now) ANH Leia, Celebration, Hoth Leia, Bespin Leia, (MISSING ESCAPE LEIA), ANH Leia Gown (Medical Frigate), Boushh, Slave, General, Endor Maiden. So just one missing there really. *Please let B&P list Han's legs by accident *Please let B&P list Han's legs by accident *Please let B&P list Han's legs by accident *Please let B&P list Han's legs by accident :)

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

I think display UCS sets are safe. I think they just looked at how people tried to classify a UCS set and decided to create the Master Builder Series Tag to use on playsets. There are plenty of display models they can build to use one tag and plenty of playset type environments to use the MBD tag. -

Yeah... the minifigures in Juniors sets of other themes are the same level of design as regular sets. They haven't simplified them like they did with the SuperHeroes Micro Racer series. The builds on these smaller sets can be uninteresting to me but I'. keen to see what they do with them and especially what minifigures they include. -
I think Phoenix were working on a bigger project as they had a Leia figure designed too. I'm definitely keeping the Lego Luke but the Lando figure is getting sold with the Phoenix cape.

Inferno Squad BP would be the highlight of almost any wave for me. Any OT era Imperials or Rebels especially pilots. Still not sure how a Dewback BP would work. It all sees very repetitive, they have Ewback in the old Cantina, then the Sandtrooper in the new Cantina, then more Sandtroopers in the dropship, now more Sandtroopers with this. There's a perfect moulded Dewback already and I can't see them putting that in a £12 set with some figures. So why would they make a smaller, poorer brick built version? -
Here's the Phoenix Customs Lando with the Lego CC cape. I much prefer the Phoenix design for both the torso and the head but the cape from lego is stellar. With the Cloud Car pilots I do like the tan used with the gloves but I can't help but feel that the Bright Light Orange hands and dual moulded boots works too, although they may be a tad too strong in colour. Here's the Luke comparison between Lego and Phoenix. I really like the belt detailing on the Lego version but I'm leaning towards that version being the 'battle damage' version and the Phoenix for his arrival at Bespin. I'll need to order a couple more of those hair pieces in dark tan from B&P though. The Phoenix one on the right is actually a regular tan piece that was dyed for the release. I think they did a pretty good job colour matching.
-
I've got the legs but they're actually on my Captain Antilles figure
-
Actually... thinking about that. I was always leaning towards things that have the 10XXX set number sequence being a UCS set (well every other UCS set has it) so the drop ship and AT-OT could edge into that too.
-
I don't disagree with that. The backlash amongst certain fan groups towards the sequels does seem to have placed the prequels in a new light and the kids of that era are now older and have the disposable income to take advantage of large Lego sets as well as things such as Hot Toys figures. I was replying to this line 'the fact that we've had literally no UCS from the prequel trilogy'. I do also think though that the OT is a safer bet for the larger sets. Prequel and sequel toy ranges can be hit and miss with sales but OT items are always popular. In some other toy lines sequel products are shelf warmers. They hugely over-estimated demand and that has left a massive amount of stock unsold. The prequels are getting some love now though... I can see it happening in the next couple of years. Whether that be a UCS set or a Master Builder set.

Isn't 10215 Jedi Starfighter a prequel UCS set? Also, technically speaking, the 10018 Darth Maul bust is also considered a prequel UCS set.
