That's the thing, it wasn't a single vote like Carl and Dan when Dan was already screwed. Just go read the ineraction between Rob and Brice on Day One and the beginning of Day Two. Does that look like two people putting on a show? It seems genuine to me.- 60 replies

No, they're not. Your story doesn't check out. You made the wrong claim. It contradicts what we know and one of the most obviously pro-townie players would have to be scum for it to be remotely true.- 60 replies

You chose....poorly. As I said yesterday, the investigator trusts me. All that you need to know is that it's between you and Brice right now. And as you wisely point out, it's probably not Brice because he and Robert have been going at it since Day One.- 60 replies

Minimal Mafia: Day Three
Ellsworth Kelly replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I AM ELLSWORTH KELLY, HEAR WHAT I HAVE TO SAY!!! As I said, Dan's townreads evaporated on Day Two. Thanks for bringing up his post today Jo, I didn't even see that. He's been really all over the place, which is a shame because he looked like he was really trying on Day One. A scum slipping up? One-shot conversion? I don't like what I'm hearing. Vote: Dan Flavin. Word of advice, don't vote anyone you townread "from the beginning", regardless of where the votes stand. I've been in contact with the investigator (though that he is the investigator at all and being trusted by him is news to me) and we've sharing suspects and such. He contacted me late on Day Two, since you're so curious about that kind of sensitive information, Anne. THESE WERE THE WISE WORDS OF ELLSWORTH KELLY! -
Minimal Mafia: Day Three
Ellsworth Kelly replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I AM ELLSWORTH KELLY, HEAR WHAT I HAVE TO SAY!!! I'm glad an investigator's made contact with someone, finally. Assuming we trust the result, this (mostly, minus Godfatherhood) clears John and Eva, and honestly, I doubt the scum would take this big a risk to make such a play when they're already on a roll. I'm inclined to believe in it for now. This takes two of my major suspects off the table, though, which is a little unfortunate. Dan, though...that's an interesting suspicion. I was townreading him on Day One, but Day Two....not so much. Take a look at this for example. He suggests we scrutinize Frank and Tony, then seems to pull back after people start poking at them some more. And then says his primary suspect is completely different and acts like it's always been regardless of his suspicions on either of them. Incidentally both Frank and Tony were both town, and we've got good reason to think Eva is too. I don't like it, but I'll wait for him to address this before tossing a vote his way. THESE WERE THE WISE WORDS OF ELLSWORTH KELLY. -

You say replace like you don't place any value in your own suspicions, like they're interchangeable with the suspects everyone else is talking about. My vote stands. -
Minimal Mafia: Day Two
Ellsworth Kelly replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Vote: Tony Smith I feel like Sol made some good points. Your useless attitude and failure to bring up a single suspicion over the course of two days seals the deal for me. We've been discussing your name all day. You've had plenty of opportunity to make a case for yourself... ...And this is what you came up with? That said... ...This is pretty much what I expected from John. I've still got my eyes...well....I've got my 2x2 yellow face block on you. -

That is weird. Maybe he was hoping to jump onto what would hopefully be a bandwagon (Eva's at the time of his changing his vote had ground to a halt while the votes were just beginning to land on me) under the guise of trying to save himself? -

Or you could be part of one of the second worst scum teams and do it anyway thinking the town couldn't possibly think they'd be so obvious. I also noticed some abrasiveness between Sol and Jo even while both voted for Tony. -

Agreed. Two kills and likely a lynch every day? This would barely last three days. -

Here's Sol's contributions. I guess the only thing we can do is keep talking. It looks like we have to vote though. When did "minimalist" become a bad word? A painting. Do you think there's any significance to it (other than to get us talking)? Could Dan laughing off Brice's accusation be a little game of WIFOM as well? Also, I was reviewing everyone's contributions so far and Jo, Tony and Frank haven't really said anything substance today. You must have some opinion on the accusations and subsequent votes. It might not help us right now, but if we don't get people's opinions, we'll allow the scum to hide and we can be sure to have nothing to go on, now or on later days. Why are you looking at the people who voted early? Of course you're going to vote today, because it's mandatory. Who are you going to vote for "if we don't hear much more today"? An artist who's flying under the radar is Donald. He only showed up to tell us he doesn't have a clip attached to his side and explain how forced perspective works. No, I don't. Given that the person with the most votes is lynched, I don't see why the scum would feel the need to get a bandwagon rolling. No, I read everything carefulty, I just didn't see anything of substance from you. At least you're offering some thoughts now. Wasn't it a bit too early to be "worried" about that? I could perhaps understand those reasons towards the end of the day when you'd rather see one of the candidates tied for a lynch lynched than no lynch at all. I can't help but doubt that Eva would vote so early if she were scum (for the same reasons I doubt John would vote first if he were scum). Out of the suspicions I mentioned earlier, I'm torn between voting for Frank or Tony. Frank hasn't contributed at all today and I agree with Jo that Tony could simply be trying to appear helpful by floating theories about catching scum based our works of art. You could even read this comment as subtly trying to cast suspicion on Dan. Vote: Tony Smith By the looks of it, near the end of the day, he was reading deep into Tony's words, and seemed to be pointing out suspicious comments and analyzing posts pretty well, but it's all pretty general up until he casts his vote. Perhaps he was right about all that and they had him killed to keep him from snooping any further? Or maybe they just wanted to off a helpful-looking townie? The last few hours of Day One had some other interesting stuff: Evidently Tony doesn't understand what we're doing here. Being critical and analytic is how we catch scum. Combined with his screwing around with the artwork/allegience connection, I'm not liking what I'm seeing out of Brent. This is a minimalist game. There's only a dozen of us. We probably don't have a ton of PRs. Behaviorial analysis is sometimes the only basis we're going to have. I know it's Day One, but anyone who's not willing to act on their suspicions (incidentally Brice voiced none of his, if he has any) isn't going to be very constructive or at least productive for anyone but the scum in the long run. Next time think someone's being so obviously pro-townie that you can't even picture him being scum, don't try to blow off their accusations. Work with them, not away from them. *you think -

I believe it's tied between me, John, and Eva at this point with three votes each, two votes for Tony, one vote for Brice and another for Anne.- 100 replies

Minimal Mafia: Day One
Ellsworth Kelly replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
The lynch is split between five people, it's at a tie, and there's only three people left to vote. It might've been a little early, but oh look, it still turned out to be a completely accurate prediction. This is how Day One usually works. People post fluff and roleplay, people derive reactions, people derive reactions from those reactions, votes fly everywhere. Sorry for being right, I guess.- 100 replies

Minimal Mafia: Day One
Ellsworth Kelly replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
At the time it was starting to look like that. Maybe I judged that too quickly. My point is that it was starting to appear like votes were being thrown in every which direction, as is usual on Day One, and I feared maybe they would be scattered enough for no lynch to occur. It's not as unlikely as you think in this situation. We number only thirteen, and I count five different people already being voted for. Did you read what I explained? I agreed with Anne's reasoning and elaborated on it when pried, I didn't change my reasons or bring out any new ones.- 100 replies

Minimal Mafia: Day One
Ellsworth Kelly replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I know it's fun to hide our identities and stuff, but all of us here knows how to use periods properly. Those are the neat little dots you can put at the end of sentences. I can see how agreeing with someone and casting a vote with them can be seen as sheepy, even on Day One. And I'll admit I probably haven't been as attentive as I could've been. But when someone points something out that strikes me as suspicious, what else can I do but use my vote and act on it? I'll say right now I'm probably not going to the be the first person to see something off in someone else's posts. Not to excuse what could be percieved as 'laziness', but I'd rather toss my vote in towards the most suspicious person with the most suspicious reasoning than find a weaker one just to look like I'm being active by not going along with somebody else's opinion. But since you've pushed me, I think John, if scum, may only be for voting Anne based on the short banter she quoted between the two of them. They each made cautious pokes about one another about the obviousness of several Day One strategies (I suspect John based partially on this, of his rolling the idea of some sort of gambit that would be undoubtedly disastrous for townies), and perhaps he simply wanted to strike the first blow to try and make it look like less of a retaliatory shot than if Anne accused him first (out of curiosity, Anne, would you have even if he hadn't voted you?) As far as everyone else goes, I'm not sure. Rob's voting Brice based on his (pretty foolish, in my opinion) suggestion that this art might have something to do with alignment. His first post looked like a joke, then he floated the idea of sharing our pantings/sculptures or whatever. Then, I don't know, he got into weird speculation about the town/scum ratio (why would it be any different than normal) and looks like he's trying really hard to get that vote off of him and pass it off as a joke.- 100 replies

Enlighten me. What solid evidence are you expecting to come up? It's a behavioral game on Day One, and I'm voting for the most suspicious person based on their behavior. Perhaps stupid was too strong a word. In any case at least I'm facing the reality that fluff posts and the reactions to them is probably all we're going to get as far as basing votes on today.- 100 replies

,? ,! That'll be the title of my next work. It's so...minimal. Let me take a second to catch up. Actually, let me take a wild guess. People are lynching eachother over saying stupid stuff and for voting for people who said stupid stuff. Well, if it's between that and a no-lynch, I'll Vote: John McCracken. Not because you cast the first stone - someone has to do it - but Anne's argument against him... ...seems pretty reasonable to me.- 100 replies
