I was wondering if I wanted to (at some point in the future), if I could add another embassy from a "small kingdom", maybe it is across town (or something). For the vendors items has anyone come up with stat lowering items. What I had in in mind was "Vial of Sickness" witch lowers strength by 1 (for a time but doesn't poison the target). Next one is "Radiation Burst" witch lowers spirit by 1 (for a time). Then "Radio Interference" witch lowers skill by 1 (for a time), I was thinking it could make hacking slightly harder if that was the route people wanted to go. I was trying to come up with stuff that sounds scientific and plausible at the same time. I did just think up of another one "Brainwasher" witch lowers smarts by 1 (don't know what else makes you stupider that is not some sort of Sickness). On a different note about planet(s) destruction, what if something thing "ate" the planet. That I was thinking about a quest (and not trying to give to much away) was what if a "thing" came along and take apart a planet. And not just one planet the whole System of planets including the "sun". Just so someone could build a "big thing" but at the same time they don't want anyone knowing what happen to the System, basically they want people wondering what happen to the place. I think part of my problem is with this quest is it might get a little to modern day political for some peoples taste, well it starts that way.

Hhhhaaammm, do your people not give proper names to things, like everyone seems to do. Either way looks like a couple of drag-leaks each way. To bad none of us could jump or fly like a dragon it definitely would be quicker... OoC: -

As the smoke bomb goes off. Later! Angor couldn't help but shake his head at this an experienced warrior. Really. He said to himself. "Huh. . . Angor said I looked familiar, so you've probably just not been around where I'm from - Not many people have. No, I said you remind me of someone. Come to think of it, exactly where are you from again. Because you sure don't come from Oediv Emag mountain range like I do. Looking the guy over. Still not sure about you... Turning to the rest of the party. I don't know about the rest of you but I am still in the mood to fight. Let's find something to fight... -
Well I do have some points on the Orcs. @Lord Duvors What if they come into the war late and they are the main reason it ended because they always seem to win every fight they got into. I guess the rest could be the same. For their personalities l imagine they have a tell it like it is (kinda like a family member) for example; they would rather call you a dumb @$$ and punch you in the face, instead of stab you in the back like they see other creatures might do. But you are better off being friends with an Orc(s) than have them as an enemy. As for the red banner, I got a China type of vibe from the whole thing, if you need names maybe you could some from China. I don't know why you got quoted, but it does sound like you have a quest forming in your head. I somewhat thought it might go a similar route, so their is a similar vibe going on.

I think you might need to remind me (and everyone else) what you have written on them and what you need help with. I was wondering how to do some of it and here is what I have so far. Picture = should be self explanatory what the enemy looks like (I imagine their can be more that one picture here too). Name - Cyber Slime = what is the enemy called in general but I also thought of... Nickname = this is optional information like if you have a certain way to identify different units, for example; Al 22, Bob 45, Cal 99, or 76 Dan, 36 Ernie, 31 Frank. Stats = you know the same thing your character gets. For example Cyber Slime... Vitality - 10 (health) Strength - 4 Skill - 2 Smarts - 1 Spirit - 1 Proficiencies - 3 close range weapons, 2 athletics, 2 agility Points Used = I figured this could tell you how difficult and enemy is spouse to be, the above example uses 21 points (if I did my counting right) Equipment = this tells you what the enemy is wearing AND possibly what it could drop for treasure Inventory = similar to equipment but you know it is not wearing the things AGAIN another possibility for treasure dropping Special Skills = I am thinking maybe the enemy does something that the players normal can't do like have a chance to poison, this might be considered an optional feature Legends = this information is considered colorful stuff and maybe help the DM run an enemy in combat. For example on: Cyber Slime - No one knows how these things came about, one theory is all the virtual viruses, spyware, malware and just bad programming bugs just fused together. Their single goal seems to be absorb everything in sight. They are mostly found in virtual realms but been know to hijacked hologram projectors and show up in other ways. Cyber Slime is considered one of more aggressive of the Techno Slimes and should be destroyed quickly before it gets out of hand and takes up everything. Well this is what I have for now, if you think I missed something let me know (this goes for anyone) or something needs adjusting again let me know.

I found 71711 Jay's Cyber Dragon on clearance for $30+tax this weekend. Needed Digi Nya (and Digi Zane but why doesn't he exists?) I guess getting Unagami is helpful too, I pretty much have everyone else in the set.

What is the other half? Weapons!?! Besides what is a better way to get information on him than see what he can do. What? Obviously confused to what is really going on. Then taking his Hammer and smashes into one of corpse as Angor stares down the necromancer as a low growl comes out of Angor. -

Good to know. Fine, fine, fine it sounds like, almost everyone wants to fight. Taking a practice swing with his Hammer as he slowly moves in to position. -

Not to me, the fact he was an outsider is more important to the humans back home, must be some sort of defensive instinct. What was her name, Nal'iey of the Old'san clan, yea I think that is it. Maybe just from where I come from, we don't tip toe over everyone's feelings like they are eggshells or something. Is that what it is, hard to tell. I heard something similar before. It is a good one if I am fast enough. Well it seems like you two have different ideas. I am wondering who everyone should follow. This guy does seem like the arrogant type. The scared human wants to run off to fight another day. But it does seem better to deal with this person right now and get it over with. -

What do I care about a human marrying another human. Not that I liked her or something, I just tolerated her, she was more annoying than anything. Besides it is just a point of information, I am not that religious I find most of them odd or weird. Your face dummy. You do have different hair color, and that odd color streak across your face. What is that some sort of makeup? And I think you a little tall that her, maybe. Unimpressed or confused with Yelana's techno babble. Technology or magic what is the difference. I will just smack him with my Hammer, that should knock the wind out of him. I don't think I ever fought a zombie before. Just crush it's skull in, to permanently kill it? -

Outcast?!? I didn't say that, they might be considered annoying. They are the only shop in my hometown. The father seemed to get along with everyone, it was more of the mother who seemed to butted heads with everyone and she probably spoiled the kids witch made them "bratty". Heck, I was friends with her brother. He was always cracking some joke witch probably got him in some trouble, I remember he would do these duck impressions that was entertaining, we ended up calling him "Bill" because of it, I wouldn't be surprised if he became a bard. Then the sister (that you remind me of) at one point own the only restaurant / inn in town with her husband. But then they moved to one of the biggest city around to run his family business. Witch cause their mother (and rest of the family) to adopt another human girl. From what I remember she was alright looking (for a human) and a similar personality to her "sister" and she was like ten years old (I think) when she was adopted. I got the wonder what caused that attitude she had... Probably a front stabber. Saying mostly to the others in the group until Angor turn back to Yelana. Now that is being rude! As he flashed a fangy smile. Are we close enough to the "wizards" yet? -
I was wondering if this is a totally good idea. If I submit 20 items at the beginning my character is going to have an extrem edge against everyone else's character. But maybe if "credits" was an option (or even items). Some people might want to pick those options or mix and match stuff. And do you have any template for "enemies" (or locations)? I do have some ideas rattling around in my head for standard enemies.

H20: Fantasy's Back on the Menu!
samurai-turtle replied to Lind Whisperer's topic in The Heroica Archive
Sure not that is what I was saying, Angor never going to think he is in some simulation. I was just being "the devil's advocate", you know the annoying guy. This is @Waterbrick Down I don't know what happened with the quoting... Like I said I get wanting to play with something familiar, you could say that is what The Demon Germ is. But apparently it was the reference that was the problem, if he @Classic_Spaceman just kept it vague and not mention any names it sounds like it would be OK. You should keep an eye on Ninjago stuff. Their last line dealt with cyber space, the ninjas suits are called Digi (insert ninja's name here). Imagine it would work well with the 2.0 stuff, and if you look around now the sets are mostly on clearance in places, I seen Jay Walker's arcade pod and Cole's +4 "car" set(s) for half price {$5 each original price $10 each}. -

Just some "brat" from back home. The family own the mercantile (well most of the family might be considered bratty). She even married some human from a different religion. Alright Mister Sam... If we get lucky they will kill each other off, and that will be the end of that. She is slightly weird, she needs some sort of magic device to talk creatures. Angor then realized something. Hey lady, what are we supposed to call you again? Well, it won't be a boring quest if we got into a fight so quickly. Letting out a slight chuckle at this point. -

I was kinda getting the impression, she was some sort of clone. Yeah it sounds like some of the other players are not currently liking it. If you want it in your head cannon best it just stay there. To play devil's advocate here but is that what mmorpg are multiple people playing a simulation. I get why he might want to play the same guy. But then it might go to doppelganger territory or something like The Flash TV show. @Classic_Spaceman you might want to think at some point, "Can I play a different character?" Besides you might just get board playing the same one all the time. I know it happen to me. -

Looking the landscape over. We sure this is the right way? I know I volunteered for this but, I get a bad feeling about this. Maybe it is because I am new to the area, but I figured it would be better to have a way out of here if I ever want to leave the area. Being stuck was never much of my thing, probably why I started to wander around. -

I noticed two things in the quest thread: one you might want to put who is playing "Old Bones ('Sam") i think Lord Duvors would like that, and two Peppermint_M character picture needs fixing. And I might be wrong but something tells me the first post is missing some story or I just don't get it... Edit - You might want to tag everyone to let them know the quest has started. -
My only experience is with a one shot that came out recently on free role playing day. If you are thinking about the "big storm" as a permanent thing, I don't like it maybe for a quest to stop it sounds better to me. But I was thinking about the Mass Effect (video games) and started to wonder if any of that stuff could be used. First thing was their "magic system" and how it seemed more like scientific in nature like you were some type of mutant. The second thing was the "rail guns" it sound like they could been made in any size for example(s) it could be made to a hand pistol (witch could take a block of metal for ammo and you would not need to reload for a long time) or scaled up to the size of a space station to launch a Star Destroyer halfway across the galaxy. (I guess my problem is I haven't played the game in a long time and it was for the Xbox witch I don't have.)

Was it Olegaia for the last game? I could see this quest happening there, a small corner of course maybe in a different time. -

I think an answer is here... I guess it is some type of city. So if you want to play a standard creature I would try to connect to the quest some how. How is my character spouse to know any of this. I rather be in dark, so to speak. -

I don't know if you ever played Dungeons and Dragons. But I originally made my character for that and their is a Background your character has, one of them is Far Traveler which I ended up using for my guy. Besides maybe my character is new to area and decided to stay there for a while. And I don't know how clear it was but he is not some farmer the humans are, I kinda had Amish in mind when I came up with that part. I just edited the story to help clear things up and make it seem like he is new to the area. -
Well I started to to think maybe it needs to be more general; like Mammal - Human - Light Brown or Droid - Android - Battle Droid {might as use something familiar}. And then I ended up watching Guardians of the Galaxy on TV for the first time since I seen in the movie theater. And it got me thinking what about plant(s) types like Groot, I figured someone might want to play "him". And then how does living things get classified in the scientific community, usually with multiple categories, so it started with plants and animals (I am just going to leave out single cell organisms). So I guess it would start something like this... Plants - (just a note I am no expert here) Grass, Trees, Ferns, fungus, mold, moss, lichen Animals - Fish, Reptile, Amphibians, Birds, Bugs, Mammals, Dinosaurs (???) Minerals - (I can only think of two {maybe three here}) Golems, Droids, Cyborgs (???) Energy - (I wondering if this should combine with something else) Ghosts, Celestials, Elementals I do think Cyborgs should be a sub creature thing for my example above: Mammal - Elf - Cyborg. But now I am starting to wonder what do I know, if I use an earlier example Kappa would probably go like this: Reptile - Kappa - Razorback.
