Great work, Andonii!

Official release of my Watchtower is up.

I present to thee, esteemed guildsmen, the Dragon's Tongue Watchtower. It keeps guard of Darwynia, a province in the Southern half of the Eastern Region. It lies between Durnovaria, and de Gothia's provinces, and about two to three days ride to the Capitol. Currently on duty out front is Standard-Bearer Matheson, a soldier held in high regard by Lord Kelperth. Official comments, criticisms, etc. are very welcome!

Thank you kindly, m'lord! In the distance is a screen of illusion. It is temporarily showing the north gate of New Kingdom City, the main city and stronghold loosely based on Anhk-Morpork in an alternate universe knows as "Velaria." [A six+ year build, about 80% complete. Here's an early WIP shot from two years ago.] Also, great work everyone! de Gothia, the siege workshop is another fantastic build. ZCerberus, your farm is great! Loving the details, design, and use of color.

Those are good reference pictures! They definitely hit on the look and feel of the Eastern region's architecture and style (despite not much being built yet.) I have a strong feeling the Guild Leaders were chosen for their specific guilds because of their own building style. So, I'd say use Derfel's wonderful medieval building tutorial as a guide when attempting to construct your MOCs. (Not saying you should copy him! Just use it as inspiration! )

This is by far one of the best watchtowers I've seen in any guild yet! Great job!

So, just to be clear, how shall I redraw the border of our two great nations? Should I just move it up so it cuts between the WitherWoods (excellent name, btw) or just pull the forest and grasslands down so it extends past the border? I wish to have as accurate a map as possible, and not create a rift between Avalonia and its mighty ally Kaliphilin. A PM or reply to this post should be sufficient.

Firstly, a thank you to my fellow guildsmen for the praise! My heart is warmed you all enjoy it! As for the questions posed: Brickdoctor - The tree icon represents the "mighty tree in the mystic isles" Derfel talked about in I believe the Avalonia description. (I can't seem to find the name of it, so it is as yet unlabeled. Also, I grappled with placing it, as it is supposed to be "impossible to find.") MikeyB - I'd ask Timura, as he was invaluable in placing certain things based on relative distance between. I believe it is somewhere around a week's worth of travel from one side to the other, but I could be wrong. Kertechniker - I'm guessing it's a good placement? I took a stab in the dark based on the landscape and description you made, but can definitely change it if need be. Fantu - Hybrasil will be placed where you have asked. I have several other new things to add, such as Azgareth and the Obsidian Tower that was just posted. An updated map should be up in the next few days, so stay tuned! Now that the bulk of work for the map is out of the way, I can finish my watchtower and get started on the task MOCs! Will tinker with it tonight, and wait for good lighting to take pictures in the morning. More to come!

Thanks for the compliments Nicemarmot! We Avalonians are prideful people, and have had nothing but good relations with the Kaliphilian Guild, hence the overlap of our borders. Our cartographers were slightly confused as to where the border actually lies, so if we are incorrect in our assumptions I apologize. Any revisions that are necessary will be made post-haste. The bridges through the Mystic Isles are enchanted so that they keep in place. It is often reported that while traveling over them, parties have seen some strange and inexplicable things! As far as Avalonia's greenery, we are known for our lushness, are we not? Water and Forestry are in no small supply in our guild, hence why we are so generous in our trading and supply of wood and produce to other Guilds. We appreciate and cherish our bond with all of the other Guilds, most especially Kaliphilin. May both of our lands thrive forever!

As time progresses, and territories grow, I will add and change the map to give us all a clear idea of what is happening and where. Thanks for your patience!

Not usually a fa of "Holiday" themed things, but this is very well done! It looks just like the real thing! Would love to see more!

My liege! An update from the land of Dragon's Tongue, where the Darwynian clan has finally been assembled! A current image of Lord Kelperth Darwyn, leader of the clan. Dragon's Tongue army, humble as it may be, swears fealty and to bring glory to Avalonia. Our archers. Our axemen. Our swordsmen. And finally the mounted Honor guard. I hope this news from my land will find you in good humour. Avalonia forever! (and because someone had to try and trump de Gothia. )

Excellent work from our guild leader, like usual! There's a reason I chose Avalonia as my home, after all! :D Can't wait to see the updates to the guide, it's kind of become religious text to me!

The royal cartographers are hard at work, no worries guildsmen! We have already considered what you have posted, but if you have a specific placement for your watchtower/town, please let us know through this thread or PM, so we can be as accurate as possible. There are already so many structures/establishments to place, it's kind of overwhelming! More coming soon!

Have to break character for a second to say: Holy crap! Fantastic! This is by far one of the best watchtowers, period! The details, architecture, and landscaping are all on point. You do your guild very proud! Guess I'll have to step it further up if I'm going to come anywhere near close to this one. :D

Great work, Fantu! Quite a fierce defender! They appear to be quite at home within the Enchanted Forest and Mystic Isles of Avaloina! The council of Darwynia would like to put in an order for several of these beasts. Are they easily tamed?

Yes! Show those Nocturnians we have the fierceness and nobility to uphold the King's laws and shall tolerate no violations of our lands and its great people! Long live Avalonia!
