    MOC: Mario Kart

Wow, this is a sweet little build Rupi! It's so sleek, it looks like a lot of fun to zoom around on the floor. The only problem is, I'm sorry to say this, with such a great little kart, I know I'm not the only one who will want to see karts for the other racers too! Nicely done!
  2. I've been wanting to comment on these new sets for so long, I'm so glad I have the chance to now! Considering the earliness of the images, I still feel confident in saying that this new line looks gorgeous! I cannot wait for these to be released! There isn't one of these sets that I don't like, I hope to get all of them! The departing from Fantasy style is too bad, but we can at least look back fondly on the last few years, and appreciate the new life that the Fantasy line breathed into Castle. Overall, I feel that this new line is more than a worthy successor. I'm really anxious for better pictures of the new great helm, I have high hopes for that piece. Like others have mentioned, the early lack of the breastplate is disappointing, hopefully Lego will keep including that great piece. Also, I'd like to see the visor helmet continue. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't appear in this theme, but we'll see with more final pictures. I'm really digging the color scheme for the "bad guy" Dragon Knights in black, dark green, and gold. They look a lot cooler to me overall, much more so than those Lion Knight clowns in the red and white . The one thing I hope Lego doesn't do is stereotype the faces too much. Too often the faces of the "bad guys" look unmistakably evil and mean, I would like it if they can make it a decent balance, because these Dragon Knights sure aren't going to be evil in my world! I think the way Lego did it with the Crown Knights would be a good pattern for both sides. But ultimately, the heads can always be swapped, so it's no biggie! I'm really excited for 7947 Prison Tower Rescue, I love the look of the architecture in the towers build, and hopefully that is a great new princess/maiden mini-fig in the prison cell. Anyway, here's hoping for clearer pictures soon! Mac-K
  3. Nicely done Vaiano! The F-15 has been one of my favorites for a long time, I'm happy to see you gave it such credit with this really accurate and complementary build. I don't know if you do decals, or anything like that, but seeing some squadron markings or national insignia would really color this fighter up. I have to agree with Siegfried though, I'm not big on the cockpit pieces overlapping. But considering that one, small detail, this is some solid work. Thank you for sharing! Mac-K
  4. Well, here's the glorious set that got me hooked on Castle, 6042 Dungeon Hunters! This set kept me entertained forever! The ironic thing is, I never used the carriage as a prison, the Forestmen and Crusaders were always friends in my little world. But somehow, these three little guys went on journeys for hours. The knight with the heavy armor has always been perhaps my most favorite mini-fig, he always represented me in my medieval adventuring . Thank the gods, I still have this set. Mac-K
  5. Well, my name is just a shortening of my middle name, MacKenzie. I've been called different variations of it during my life, and I figured this one sounded decent. Actually, my brother and cousins really do call me the Commodore in real life, but I figured that there were more than enough Captains, Admirals, and Commodores running around in the Pirate forum. 6. Thank you all for the welcome, I appreciate the kind words a lot! Thank you Big Cam! Hi VBBN, no, this is my first time being involved with the online Lego community. Thank you for the welcome! Thank you Zorro, I will definitely do that! Thank you KimT, I couldn't agree more about finally joining. Mac-K
  7. Greetings Eurobrickers! Well, I've been planning how to word this for awhile, so here it goes! My name is Mac-K, and it's great to have finally joined your community! I've been following here for close to two years, and I didn't join until now, honestly, because I was nervous at the thought of trying to fit in with such a close-knit group. It's also a little weird to be a total newbie, yet I feel like I know so many of you all already. But anyway, it's good to have finally shaken that uncertainty off, I'm really looking forward to getting to meet you all! So, I suppose I ought to say a bit about myself. I'm 24, and I live in the United States, the state of Maine to be specific. Where is that, you ask? Well don't worry, a lot of my countrymen and women think we're part of Canada. I am a recent college graduate who majored in history and political science, and I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do with my education! As you can likely guess from my interest in history, my first loves in Lego were the historic themes, our beloved Castle and Pirates! I wasn't solely dedicated to them, I collected bits of the other themes as well, but they're still my sweethearts . I'm currently reeling from the news that Pirates will be paused for a time, especially when the sets are disappearing off the shelves for good and I still don't have them all! But the discovery of the 10210 Imperial Flagship more than made up for it . Giving credit where it is due, I was pulled out of my dark age many years ago (it really was a long time ago, thinking about it ) by my first sight of an upcoming Lego X-Wing in a magazine. That, was a good day, indeed. I don't have nearly as much time for building as I'd like. In fact, I don't really build at all currently. My hope is in the next month or so to start accumulating bricks via Bricklink and try my hand at building Castle related MOC's, as creators such as DNL, RebelRock, TinyPiesRUs, and SlyOwl have thoroughly converted me with their fantastic works! Anyway, there's so many things going on here that I've kept up with; from the ridiculous hilarity of the Redcoats vs. Bluecoats in the Pirate forum (Go Blue!), to the Community Castle build and new Pirate one taking form. The great comics like Joebot's Unlikely Society and Sandy's Princess Quest, and the excellent Mystery Castle of Dragonator and the disappointingly brief Infection ! I am looking very forward to the new developments that spring up here, and I know I won't be disappointed, judging from the quality of the examples just named, and the many, many others like them. In closing, I hope I can prove to be a good member of Eurobricks, and I want to thank everyone for having me! See you all around! -Mac-K
