  1. Oh, thanks a lot, guys! I really appreciate you congratulating me! By the way, Happy Birthday to you, Jemppu - good planning! *y* Glad you decided to be born on my birthday! X-D Healthy living, my friend. An apple a day keeps the doctor away... ;-) Daily workouts and sushi really help too, you know. X-D Ah, a pity there's someone older around. I wanted to quote Yoda, using the occasion: 'When 99 years old you reach, look as good, you are not !!' *yoda* Yeah, the 80s are a very nostalgic time... I think I'll have most of my new Lego's after B-Fest, and some more when the new SW sets arrive - I'm saving up, you see. Today, I just got a few technological gifts and some new outfits - I still accepted cash, of course... *sweet* Ah, thanks, man! 99 years ( *skull* ) and counting - reminds me of GMail... :-D
  2. I confess, I have cut parts and have glued parts. I have painted them and even made molds of them. Tell you what, I have never been entirely satisfied - they just don't looks as good as I'd like them to - they aren't Lego, if you see what I mean. That is why I only cut flexible tubes these days - and still prefer not to when I can avoid it. I have no hesitation to modify a minifig, though. Especially when it involves sculpting a custom accessory or making a fabric cloak. When it comes to cutting a piece for a custom fig, I do so. I try to be careful, but I still have ruined a lot of nice parts this way, however the results are worth it, IMO you can see an example here. I completely agree that MOC contests should not allow modifications - it's simply not fair, however, custom minifig contests are something else entirely. Anyway, just my 2 cents.
  3. Wow! That's a really great MOC! I have to say that this is the best minifig scale interpritation of the ship I've ever seen. *y* You can find the pictures of the interior in the SW: Episode 1 Increadinbe Cross-Sections, btw. It is supposed to have a few seating places inside for the passengers, but I like your version too. We're looking forward to seing more SW customs from you! ;-)
  4. IMO, the Royal Knights are the golden age of Lego Castle themes - or is it just so nostalgic for me?
  5. No doubt you're right, BJ - that'swhat the albums are called (Sounds of the 60s, for example) - but 'sound' was singular in my post. Anyway, I really don't think it's so important. Hope that you don't, too... X-D
  6. Hey Dillan, I really would like to thank you for your wonderful review - it is much more encouraging than the TLC's catalogs. I have been very neutral towards the Viking line until now, but this topic really awoke the love for sea and history in me. :-D Though I have not yet bought the set, I am certainly planning to do so now - I have a few ideas on how to customize it a bit to make it more accurate. Now, all I have to do is wait till the nearest TRU sale... *sweet*
  7. So it *was* you, jipay! I felt the disturbance in the force... X-D BJ - there's only one UA, right? 1 UA = 1 Sound. :-D
  8. You know, I simply loved the idea of 'titles' when I became 'Sound of the 80s'. Anyway, let me say no more so that I don't get a 'PVC' instead... *sweet*
  9. Won't help if we've got one of these babes:
  10. But then, the frst chords of an old song sounded and an unusual rain started... :-D
  11. Oh, you've wasted your money - I've closed the gas valve to avenge Ben. X-D
  12. Ah, I see. That's a really nice, nostalgic little set. Good Luck with the auction!
  13. Kahgarak, though I am new to the forum and really haven't gotten to know you, I too, feel sorry for your loss. I have recently lost a friend in a car-crash, so I know how it feels, though losing a family member must be even more terrible. There is life after death, in that I truly believe. It may be different from the one we're living now, but it will be there. There are no words that can truly comfort a person who has lost a loved one - that feeling will only come in time, so I will end my post here. ~Victor
  14. Which one is it, BJ? Part of the old (1992-95) or the newer (96-98) ones? I myself don't remember the sets very well apart from a great Armada ship in an '94 catalogue that I really wanted - never managed to get it, tho. ~Victor
  15. Oh, I certainly back this up. Great idea, rhymer. Shouldn't this be in the Site/Forum category, though? And maybe, just maybe, we SW Fans would get a separate 'sub-universe'? X-D
  16. Hilarious. Simply hilarious. I've never seen it before, though. I loved it almost as much as this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAz6XUXsDDU
  17. You won't be getting a groupshot, I'm afraid. *sweet*
  18. Whew! Thank god it ain't the part I thought you'd post for a moment... X-D
  19. I even know where... But that's our little secret, yessss preciousss, it is. We won't tell sssneaky Jawasss, no we won't... *Gollum! Gollum!* ;-)
  20. Well, well. Am I late? But I know you guys simply can't live without seeing my true face - the Unknown Artist reveals his identity, exclusively for EB: X-D Girlfriends coming soon...
  21. None needed - I like the 'sound' of my new title... X-D Army of Lovers - Sexual Revolution - yeah, still in the 80's :-D
  22. Ummm, I'm not a fan of any of the sets listed - IMO, a nice, minifig scale AT-AT (in REAL minifig scale, not the system one) would be much better that the electronic one... Sorry, Lego Group, you won't get UA's blessing on aby of these... *sing*
  23. Call me the 'Sound of the 80's', :-P but I'm actually listening to Queen - The Show Must Go On ABBA - The Day Before You Came Garbage - The World is Not Enough is also on the playlist.
  24. *sweet* NEXT: Blonde
  25. It's the Minifig Customization Network. - the home of minifig customization on the Web.
