  1. Mine's probably the trans-neon green chainsaw blade if you go by number of Bricklink listings. I don't have any kits pre 1994 so I can't go back too far. I'd love to add one of the old vehicles though!
  2. Avenged Sevenfold- Blinded in Chains
  3. The two opened sets I ordered arrived yesterday and are in a shape I'd expect them to be in had I bought them off a store shelf. The seller even included the plastic bags the bricks had originally been packaged in. Instructions are mint, I inspected every brick and they are in no worse shape than bricks in sealed kits are in today, and the boxes only showed minor shelf wear that was clearly visible in the seller's listings. The only problem was that the Hydro Reef Wrecker was missing 3 knives. The seller did not describe the item as for-sure 100% complete and those parts aren't really necessary to complete the model, so I'm letting it slide. But it has led to my first BrickLink order, so we'll see how that goes next!
  4. Apologies for not noticing this sooner haha, I will start on it this weekend.

I love the design direction of the new Mercedes. I'd be lining up for a CLA if it was rear wheel drive. Nice!
  6. I took a chance with a legitimate looking seller on eBay who had a 6670 advertised as complete and in unused condition sans instructions with a near mint box. I already have this kit from my childhood (missing pieces and in bad shape), so I took a chance and what I got was better than expected- a completely mint kit, minus extra pieces and instructions, for $8. I've ordered another $120 worth of sets from the seller today, I'll let you guys know how that goes.

Spock, that picture was taken just a couple of months after I bought the car from a wealthy gentleman who spent good money keeping it looking so nice. It's picked up a few scratches and scuffs from all the new mileage I'm putting on it, autocrossing, and track days...the key is being willing and able to spend money on keeping it nice, or having the skill to do it yourself. I do care somewhat about the looks though and have a good example of what I'm talking about from this weekend. The car has a pop-up rear spoiler that has a separate painted piece of plastic covering it, it's the small lip in this picture: Well, at the track this weekend, that part fell off the car. Fortunately, an attentive corner worker noticed where it landed and was able to get it back to me. I can't paint myself, so the part is already at a local body shop waiting to be resprayed. Then, I'll reinstall it myself. You just have to correct what wear and tear from use throws at you. Sometimes it's worth it- in this case, severe paint damage is fixable on the cheap, as the part's not big enough to warrant a big charge from a body shop and I can resinstall it myself, avoiding a fee for that. Sometimes, it's not. I have some scratches on bigger body panels that would cost a couple hundred dollars or more to have fixed correctly. Rather than nickel and dime myself on things like that, I just plan to just have the whole car repainted when it gets bad enough. You just gotta remedy anything that makes the car appear not-so-new

I had a bit of fun with the Porsche this weekend
  9. Cool to see a game end with an OT safety though.
  10. These are fantastic! I may have to sign up on Cuusoo just to support. If they make any sets with this license I will buy them.
  11. I'd buy the Land Rover. I'm not too crazy about mechs but the approved one looks interesting, I'll be watching to see what the final product looks like.
  12. He's been bad for more than a year at Tampa Bay as well though.
  13. I'd have to check that out, much closer to me than Florida.
  14. I wasn't expecting him to play that poorly...it's a shame, really, after that win streak he had a couple of years ago. How on earth does that happen?
  15. I'm inclined to agree with the review. I bought this simply because the pirate theme has become one of my favorites despite the fact that I have almost no sets from it; they were mostly offered before I was old enough to have them and during my "dim" ages. Let me put it this way- this pack more than doubled my pirate minifig count. But the quality is poor, with loose joints and colors that aren't quite right on the parrot. The ship in a bottle is sweet though.
  16. Probably Orthanc for me. I didn't keep track of how long it took, but it sat on my kitchen table in partial states of assembly for more than a week with me averaging maybe 30-45 minutes a day on it. So 6-8 hours. I've also built the Williams F1 car but that was some years ago and I completed it in a day, so I'm not sure if it's got Orthanc beat or not.
  17. I've ordered from the Customer Service site once- the larger baseplates for the Orc Forge kit. I explained that the baseplates I received were warped and they sent me replacements, no questions asked and completely free for me. Of course, the parts they sent were warped as well, but that's whole 'nother topic...
  18. Lego Island for me. The new games just never grabbed my attention.
  19. An app is completely unnecessary when the mobile theme works as well as it does with this site, excluded browsers like the mentioned above nonwithstanding. There's just no point. An app would look almost identical to the mobile theme.
  20. I'm inclined to agree with the above. Between the Internet, Lego, a job or school if those are applicable, and everything else available to you if something as unimportant as Lego is, boredom shouldn't really be happening.
  21. Just received my order from the online Lego store today- the Minecraft Village and Nether kits, 9679 AT-ST, and Halloween and Pirate minifig packs. An added, surprise bonus is a Lego Shop minifigure! Supposedly due to the new release of the mobile store.
  22. Oops, wrong thread...mods, please delete.
  23. I'd like to join and see what this is about. I meet the requirements and have at least one large kit that does not yet have a review, and probably some other smaller ones as well.
  24. I love the techniques you used to show road surface wear! An accurate replication of some of the road surfaces we have here in the US Is that car supposed to replicate anything in particular or is it just meant to be a generic? It looks similar to a post-war Hudson.

Yeah, had to have it drilled out and retapped. I thought it was because I took my muffler off and put it back on somewhat frequently, but I guess it just happens.
