  1. It's mostly from the original set, except for some plates and two BURP and some accessories. All 6 pieces with mountain carves (not sure what they are called) are used on the back. They look better than I expected when stacked together (forgot to take a picture).
  2. I got Troll's mountain fortress at a 33% discount recently. It's not the best set at it's full price, but $66 it's a great deal. I believe the reviews for this set are generally not so good. So I decide to mod it. I added two levels to the main tower. The main tower is mostly untouched. close up of the two levels I added. inside the dungeon, the big troll is feeding on a dead horse. With the other troll, I decided to make it more sci-fi ish. Comments and criticisms are welcome.
  3. My troll ride idea. Maybe not so much of a cavalry.
  4. probably not for now. I was thinking about doing a green army men truck, but I have almost no green bricks. I'm thinking of doing a different set. Like a power miner vehicle in a castle setting.
  5. Oops. My bad, didn't see that.
  6. I recently made the granddaddy of 3179 repair truck. So I decide to do its grandchild as well. Different from its ancestors, it has a beam support elevator. The whole repair truck family.
  7. So now that we've seen the first mini-figure series, time to guess (or wish) what the second series is going to contain. I would like to see: an elf with a bow and a new flower piece (maybe) an imp with a black trident an angel with a trumpet (together with the imp and some thought bubble makes a great scene) a programmer in a free tshirt with a laptop a kung fu master in a Nunchaku I think we will see: a wizard or witch some kinda space sci fi figure a pirate theme figure What's your guess or wish?
  8. Great job. I like how the heart is done, a simple technique.
  9. The cheerleader's shirt has a "M" instead of a "L". I wonder if "M" stands for anything.
  10. Call me poor. I only have 2 set of 4 = 200 coins, neither is from a pirate set.
  11. I recently got 3179 repair truck. It gave me this idea of making one for a castle setting. So here it is. In action Together with his grand kid
  12. Is that a new ring? The image looks different from all the other rings.
  13. The easiest thing I can think of is LEGO. Like this
  14. Interesting topic. For me it's LDD. I didn't have money to buy real lego. So LDD is a great alternative.
  15. I recently got a random lot from Ebay. There are quite a few weird pieces. Can someone tell me where are they from, and what are they good for? I know what the tube is. But i got 50 of them. Any suggestions on how to use all 50 of them? Thanks.
  16. Don't want to offend anyone. In my opinion, moc and collecting official sets are two different hobbies (very closely related however). It's like comparing amateur painter and art collector. I see myself as both.
  17. It's just a normal black 1x1 headlight. Because of the way the torso dress is printed, it looks like the cheeses are perfectly downward. But it's not. p.s. I pull the new model apart right after I built it. :) I don't have anything that looks like old gypsy woman. This is the closest I can get. I used a different head piece to make her look less evil. The original figure is from the Fright Knights sets. My "baseplate" is actually 18x16 + the overhang. I can't quite fit the shark on without making it bigger. Looking at the map, there is nothing around the fortune teller. So I assume it's ok. Same goes for the directly above photo. If it's not ok, I can change it.
  18. Oh, yes... I see your future... AHHHHHHHHHH!!! Close up of the fortune teller in a skirt. I do have a long skirt piece, but we all like short skirts don't we ;) Top view
  19. 31. Fortune Teller Oh, yes... I see your future... AHHHHHHHHHH!!! Close up of the fortune teller in a skirt Top view
  20. I wonder how many big mac you can get with a $100 greenback...
  21. Thanks a lot. I've been using old credit card instead of my nail. But this looks like a much better option.
  22. This sounds like a basic question. But it is a big trouble to take small plates apart from a large plate, when it in the middle of the large plate. So what do you do? Do you use the official brick separator? (How useful is it? I'm thinking of getting one.) Also what do you do with tiles? They are tricky to take off from a base plate, like in all the modular house sets. While I'm at it. How do you take apart two 1x2 plates? I always have a hard time.
  23. This is very helpful. That's why my old grey and brown pieces look different. I thought it was discoloring. Good to know it's not.
  24. Question: Do I have to use a base plate? Can I use smaller plates to form a 16x16 plate? I've only recently got back to LEGO. And it seems like very few sets comes with a base plate nowadays! Is this a trend or what.
  25. I'll take fortune teller then.
