This morning we completed the Mall, much to my daughter's delight. Then this afternoon I found a couple of presents that the elves had misplaced: the Friends Catwalk Phone Stand and Winterfest Lobstar for Skylanders Trap Team. The Mall's catwalk has now been replaced with this much better version, and DJ Stephanie was on the decks banging out tunes for the afternoon's fashion show..... until my iPhone ran out of charge.

This afternoon I've been building the Heartlake Shopping Mall with my daughter, which she was lucky enough to get from Santa.

The first issue of the regular monthly Blocks magazine came out today. My local WH Smith had a decent wad of copies on the shelf.

My Hyrule Warriors Collector's Edition arrived yesterday; it's not due out until Friday.... Fantastic game, well worth getting.

The only ones I'm interested in are 36, 38 and the quite awesome looking 39. I'll leave the decision on 37 to my son. On a side note, the Creator Parrot set looks awesome.

Awesome. One of my favourite films of all time. Very well done.

Have you bought any of the 2014 Sets?

My Son and I have built the Hot Rod, Construction Crew, Container Truck, Cargo Plane and the Desert Racer from the first wave of the year's releases. We went to Toys R Us a couple of weeks ago, as it was his birthday, and got the Volvo L350F as well as the Pick-up Truck. -
Today I got the Lego Movie and the VW Camper in town, and then ordered the Mini Cooper online from the Lego Store.
-
The Lego Movie was released in the UK today so I've just watched it in 3D on the projector with the kids.

No idea what the bottom right one is.

As it's Easter the kids built the 40086 Easter Bunny this morning. We've been saving it for today since we got it from the Lego Store in Milton Keynes a few weeks ago. My son and I completed the Cargo Plane earlier on. We're both impressed with the size of it and all the functions. I just need to psych myself up to do the stickers now; there's absolutely loads of them.

My son's a huge Skylanders fan, so we'd both prefer it if Lego were involved instead of MB, however unlikely. I've never seen any of the COBI Winx Club figures anywhere, and thankfully my daughter hasn't either. Again, I'd much prefer it if Lego had that licence to produce them as Mini Dolls. Considering how many times Legend of Zelda has popped up on Cuusoo, I don't think I'm the only one who wishes Lego had the Nintendo licence. For the Super Mario characters they'd have to go with custom over-sized heads similar to The Simpsons, but that turned out quite well anyway. Bowser and Ganondorf would obviously benefit from being oversize figures similar to the Incredible Hulk. I'd love to have a Lego Mystery Machine and the gang on my office desk next to the Delorean and upcoming Ghostbusters set, but that's because I'm a huge geek. And due to that same reason I can only dream of the ridiculous amount I'd spend on Star Trek sets.....

My son and I started building the Technic Cargo Plane over the weekend.

I've been watching a few films on the projector with the kids recently: Frozen 3D, Rio, The Goonies and Tangled 3D. Whilst they're in bed I've gone through the original six Star Trek movies and the four Next Generation ones. As well as Boogie Nights and Inglorious Basterds.

Lego Hobbit Video Game Exclusive Minifigure Announced
-SD- replied to mrfootball's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Once again, it's unfortunately a GAME exclusive in the UK. That being said, I've just put my pre-order in..... At least this time the WiiU is also getting the minifig. -
if you could have anything from a movie, what would it be?

As Dr. Brown said: "The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?" So yeah, I'm with you on this one. As much as I dislike the BayFormers, a 458 Italia that transforms into a giant robot would be quite awesome. At least you know that if someone tries to steal it they're in for a nasty surprise! -
Jurassic Park 3D and Up 3D. Considering JP is nearly 21 years old, I thought the 3D conversion was really well done, and it's the first time I've seen it on a large cinema screen for...... nearly 21 years. The kids really enjoyed it too.

My daughter's just decided this is her new "best thing in the world, ever", and that you're an absolute genius. I have to admit that I agree.... this is indeed quite awesome. She understands that this is something you've made as part of a team, but I could see the disappointment that nothing this epic exists as an official set.

I haven't sat down to watch an episode in about 10 years. I've caught parts of a couple of episodes whilst at a friend's house over the past decade, but that's about it. Everyone I know prefers Futurama....... I am however strangely compelled to see a Simpsons episode made entirely from Lego... I'll be interested to see what it's like. This has got me wondering if there's a Simsons Lego video game brewing away at TT though.......

Turbo in 3D on the projector with the kids Sunday evening.
