An imposing structure! It looks like an old, established, reputable bank... and then we find out it is run by the lizard men! Perhaps you have explained the economic crisis...
-
I like the way you've got the bars of the bed frame like a real hospital bed. Maybe Dawes has inhaled too much of the gas in the large red tank...

Great little fire engine!

Fabulous building! I love the colour scheme, and I especially like the design of the windows with the elegant pillars. I also like the detailing on the wooden front door.

Thanks for blogging the ship! And thanks again to everyone for all the nice comments.

Thanks very much everyone!

A truly fantastic building! I love all the details, and the sweetshop interior is perfect. I like the old-fashioned radio on the second floor too.

Great train! I love the bar and the working doors.

I'm in the process of building a harbour and this, of course, requires ships. This cargo ship is in the style of the brick-built ships that came with the 1990s harbour sets, but scaled up to a larger size so it doesn't look out of place next to the large single-hull ship seen in the more recent Lego harbour set. I've also been experimenting with a little seascape 'box art' in Photoshop. More photos on my Flickr Page

Great buildings! I love the detailing.
-
Great truck, I like the way you've added the wing mirrors and indicator lights.
-
Great detail in the plumbing, and I like the phone box. Have you thought of adding a large scary Australian spider? (I assume they turn up in bathrooms like the less scary European ones.)
-
Beautiful model! I love how you've made the stained glass.

Nice waggon, very realistic!

MOC: SL7 Steamlined Steam Locomotive
hhcBrick replied to Made in China(he16767)'s topic in LEGO Train Tech
That's a beautiful model of a beautiful locomotive-- so good I wish Lego would release it. Thanks for sharing it and for all the great pictures! -
Thanks for the tip, fred67.

I'm afraid I don't know if anyone has built Irish trains, but I just wanted to say I really like your model. I also really like your station on two levels, do you have any more pictures of it? I also noticed the cargo crane on your Brickshelf page, looks impressive.

That's a sleek looking house! I like the feature above the door and you've got all those Art Deco curves working nicely.
-
That's a great house. I particularly like the roof with the lion's head, the curves are really nice. The weatherboarding looks good too.

Great train, I love the classic styling.

Hi, I'm Alec from London and since I recently posted a train MOC I thought I should introduce myself in the Train Tech forum. Here is a timeline of the train sets I own (showing the year I got the sets rather than their release year): 1984 7725 Passenger train This was a Christmas present, my first train set, and I was very happy with it. 1985 7745 High Speed Train The following year I was lucky enough to receive the High Speed train. I recently rebuilt it, and it still looks great although the white bricks have faded a bit. Being half French, I always thought of this as a French TGV and applied the SNCF stickers that came with it (There was a choice of several European railway stickers -Sorry British Rail!). A few years later I was wondering about whether to get the Metroliner, but as a friend pointed out to me, the Metroliner looks like it could be late sometimes, while the High Speed train is never late! (I still hope to get hold of a Metroliner at some point) 1987 6990 Monorail As a kid I loved Space Lego even more than trains, so a Space train was amazing. ...Then there was a large gap. My dark ages started in the late 90s when Lego started producing some really uninspiring sets. I'd wanted to get some of the great early 90s train sets but my pocket money was mainly going on Space purchases. My dark ages ended with the release of the first Star Wars sets. But I didn't return to trains until... 2002 10020 Santa Fe Super Chief This locomotive was on the cover of a book I had as a child, so feeling nostalgic, and as it was such a great model, I bought one. But foolishly I didn't buy any of the carriages. So now the Santa Fe is on cargo hauling duty. 2009 7897 Passenger Train 10194 Emerald Night I'd been collecting models for a few years, but no real MOC building took place until 2009. I decided to upgrade my rail collection. The 7897 is probably never late either, but I did complain to Lego about the ill-fitting nose piece. The Emerald Night is lovely. 2010 4552 Cargo Crane 4549 Container Double Stack 4555 Cargo Station 4543 Flatbed and Tractor 10170 TTX Intermodal Double Stack All the above thanks to Bricklink and eBay. As I don't have a lot of space for layouts, I focus on creating trackside buildings. I'm also working on this: 4554 Metro Station (custom MOD with different colour scheme in progress) That's about it-- looking forward to the new summer train releases!

Thanks for all your comments! 'lightningtiger', I agree about the recent Lego harbour set. It felt half-finished compared to the great detail on the original Lego harbour sets from the 90s. As well as building a larger ship in the style of the ones that came in the 90s sets (6541 & 6542) I made some modifications to the single hull ship from 7994 which you can see here. 'Spyder', blue container cranes do exist. Have a look at the 'Container' ident for Channel 4 TV in the UK here. Scroll down the page a bit to see it. Not quite such a bright blue as Lego I agree, and the red is a bit of artistic license, but Lego people love their primary colours!

Nice. It looks quite cosy inside, I like the computer console too.

Set 6560 did have a skeleton and a treasure chest in the undersea section, but not a wreck hull, although the arch shapes in the rock formation might be intended as some form of wreck as you mentioned. Thank you for revisiting this old topic as if you hadn't I'd never have seen it (Joined a couple of years too late!), and I really like the Divers sets. I think it was one of the last well designed groups of sets before juniorisation really kicked in in the nineties. I also prefer Divers to the new Atlantis sets, which have too much trans-neon green on the subs and minifigures for my taste.

This is a container crane which can load freight from train waggons onto ships. It is part of a larger dockyard which I am in the process of building. More photos on my Flickr Page.
